    Graphic is nise but whole city during the day looks like a crap. I dont know what is goin on but it looks to me like they used instagram filter for whole game, everything has yelowwish tone.

    Handling model so bad, it is so unrealistic. Its so much unrealistic that is good for 5yo kids max. Forza horizont has much better handling model not perfect but better OST terrible. Lot of    Graphic is nise but whole city during the day looks like a crap.     - Driving mechanics are not bad, but they are far from realistic. Too drifty even when the car is not supposed to drift.
    - AI from regular drivers is stupid, they basically look to crash you or make you crash. Is like they go out at night and say: "what a beautiful night, might crash some racers", is just ridiculous how a truck stops in the middle of the street just to ruin your race. You appreciate regular drivers behaviour in games like forza, which feels more natural.
    - Police chases are ridiculous due to COPS being OP. I acknowledge that I'm far from being a pro gamer on racing games, buy I consider myself good and tend to play other racing games like Forza in harder difficulties. However, police chases in this game are a nightmare above heat level 2. Even if the cop has a crappier car than yours, they are way faster than you. If you try to ram their cars, you end up damaging your car way more than theirs. When you think you lost them, even when they can't call more reinforcements, the same cars you left way behind, reach you in seconds. Basically like teleporting. I consider myself good at drifting. So I usually drifted and turned into narrow alleys multiple times but is pointless, they keep your track, is like they read your mind. There are no structures in the map to help you get rid of them like in Most wanted/ Carbon games. As you ask for advise online, you discover that the only way to escape the police is to abuse jump platforms around the map. That's not fun. Some people even tell you that you're doing wrong by staying too much time on the streets at night and NO, it is NOT our fault that EA couldn't create a balanced and fair gameplay regarding police chases. So after losing a lot of money and REP Every time I drove at night, I just dropped the game. This isn't a "get good" situation, this is a gameplay flaw due to poor game developing.
    I would score this game higher if the main problem of the game wouldn't make the core gameplay impossible and by consequence, impossible to progress without a persistent feeling of frustration in your heart every minute you play.    … Expand

    The game is really good. It is an extremely fun racing game with lots of potential. This bad reviews are just haters hating on a good game basically. The game has both day/night mode, good car handling, great graphics and the physics of driving has always been arcad-ish which I have no problem with. If you actually look at the reviews and decides to play this game, then you're missing out on something that is really amazing. This nfs throughout the years is the closest title that got close to mw(2005) and u2, and pro street in my opinion. I had amazing times with my friends in this game like setting up a party and had a car meet, had few runs in the highway.. This bad reviews are seriously from haters and it's because some people just can't accept the fact that (EA) actually published a good game after all these recent backlashes the company facing without realizing that GHOST GAMES's effort in this game.. Look at LP-RIPPER24 (a youtuber's view) on the nfs heat's bad review.. Just ignore this reviews and try it out, I'm telling you, this is an entertaining racing game that gives you the feel of underground 2, pro street, carbon, most wanted all combined..… Expand

    Me encantó el juego un vuelta a la saga memorable! Las persecuciones son intensas y las modificaciones te plantean una estrategia de como se va a comportar el vehículo cuando se maneja! Es lo mejor desde NFS MW a mi parecer aunque el payback no estuvo mal excepto por la forma de modificar el vehículo que era como para niños de primaria.

    My favorite NFS game. Mechanics and the whole vibe of the game are amazing. The only problem that I have with it is that the replayability is crap. Once you reach level 50 and obtain the best car with the best upgrades it just becomes boring (which took me a week). It is very fun when you begin playing it. Can't forget about the incredible customization.

This make me feel as if i am realistically driving into the sun and I can hear my car's rumble when i either floor it or am just cruising. The thing that has impressed me most about this game is the hundreds, if not thousands, of customization options! WOW! They did a excellent job on this! From changing rim type, size, color to being about to smoke out taillights I was very impressed. The inedible amount of options had me stunned. There are not to many games that let you change every part of the vehicle, this is awesome because it lets the user have the ability to make their car unique to themselves! No two cars will look the same. Not to mention the amount cars in this game! Holy cow! Most every car you would want to drive either big or small is in this game! Which makes the auto-head me really like it. That I can drive a Z06 corvette to a Ford Raptor truck. You could spend hours just test driving cars. This is a huge win for this game. There are a few small things I would change. First being the music. At first listen you think the music in the game is good and up to date however, you realize its sounds like there are only 4-5 different songs and they all sound the same. EDM beat with lyrics, or just all up-pace beat. Not to mention I get tired of hearing Cardi B go "Okrrruutt" over and over in my ears. I tend to turn music drastically down or off all together as it gets very very old and repetitive. Second, I would like to see more of a lobby select section of online PVP racers. While i do like the open world concept, I would like to have the option of setting up a lobby where I could race 1 on 1 or with a group of racers on a specific course. Still a top not racer for anyone who owns an Xbox One console.… Expand

It captures every good aspects taken from the great nfs titles like most wanted (2005), underground 2, pro street and carbon. The game doesn't get boring by no means. This is really different from payback as the city is more living, the story is more interesting and of course the cops level is really competitive. The ai level is ok, if your car rating is more than the recommended rating in any specific race you're selecting, you're good. The driving physics is of course arcade and I'm loving the new drifting physics. The customization is outstanding with loads of options available to customize your car and FINALLY NO SPEEDCARDS from payback. The graphics looks great. Now, I would want EA to kinda tweak the photo mode a little bit because it's kinda tricky and annoying to work with but other than everything is good. If you just wanna have fun and race with your friends and hang around and wanna host car meets and stuff, this game is a way to go, it gives more pro street, underground 2, and carbon as in general. Also, I like one of the most important of the game is that you can play offline and people who don't want to multiplayer can play offline. The character customization is a new thing and it's nice you can customize your own driver with different sorts of style, it kinda took aspects from gta which is really good… Expand

    For me NFS Heat is a long awaited return to glory. Im affording it extra respect as it's clear that Ghost Games have actually listened to the community. What they've done is taken everything they did right with the previous few titles while completely erasing everything that people hated, and the result is imo the best NFS game since pre 2010.     No micro transactions, no pointless online only restrictions, no lottery upgrade system, no restrictions on visual car mods, no invasive story forcing you down certain disciplines and no soggy heavy driving model...... Instead we have a sensible and progressive array of performance mods and proper engine swap options, sharper and more responsive handling, an excellent map of decent size designed with driving pleasure in mind, free roam police that provide a great challenge and tangible sense of tension when racing at night, wide array of unrestricted and highly customization visual parts and paint options and the complete freedom to play however you want. Want to focus on the story and immerse yourself, empathizing with the cast and RP'ing as a proper street racer? do it. Want to completely ignore the story and just enjoy exploring and building up your rep and car(s)? do it. Want to drive in peace, take your time searching for collectibles and playing races/challenges uninterrupted? just play mainly in daytime mode. Want to be pushed into precise calculated driving with a constant mountain of pressure as numerous and actually competent cops hunt you down every second? play mainly night time mode.

    No the game isnt perfect, cutscenes seem to drop frames frequently, the difficulty balance for racing early in the game seems a bit off and the cops at night can be punishingly hard; but overall if you're after a free roam street racing game then this is the best entry since Midnight Club LA and NFS Carbon. Easy 8.5/10 , well done Ghost Games! :)    … Expand

    Amazing!!! Just absolutely Amazing. Its a great mix of underground and the original most wanted. Car handles good. The customization is very detailed. And the cops can actually be difficult to get away from. Definitely worth buying

    Apart from a few minor glitches ive noticed, a decent game from the need for speed franchise. Cars look well, good graphics, night mode looks really good with all the neon effects. Car customisation is really good. Could do with a few more old school iconic cars, ep3 type r, old scoobies etc hopefully some are addedin future content

    Terrible. The physics are woeful.........it's like driving a sponge through custard. The franchise is lost, and each of the recent incarnations has got steadily worse and worse. NFS needs to return to the Carbon/Most Wanted era and produce something innovative to rival Forza Horizon.

Thank me later.

    - You are not able to fast travel to racing locations. If I want to play a racing game, then, yes, do I want to play one race after the next one. No I don't want to talk with some 0815 guy on the backseat. No, I don't want to drive by my own to the next location. I just want to play the racing stuff.

    Conclusion:

    "AAA" game for 60€, more like "ZZZ" game. And I would take EA to court for this pain in the ass game, if I would have paid this price...    … Expand

    It's absolutely amazing how ghost has improved HDR and weather on this gorgeous game. The dynamics look fantastic.
    When it's raining and go under the cover of building, you'll see how beautiful the weather system works.
    It's incredible how free you are at customizing the cars.

    It's finally a step in the right direction. Ghost takes beloved parts of all games of the past and mix them into one. It's not a 10/10 because the cops and AI seem a bit unbalanced, but that's nothing that can't be patched later on. I hope they build on this entry in the future. Its a solid foundation.

    Edit: Reduced Rating because of lacking updates and no replay value

    This is the first need for speed game in a very long time that I have truly enjoyed. I tried the reboot in 2015 and really wanted to like it - however didn't. I didn't bother with need for speed payback given the horrific upgrade mechanics. So I entered this game with low expectations - positively or negatively it's been for the better. I really love the night and day mechanics of the game, controlled racing during the day and street racing at night. It gives the game 2 personalities. Graphically in the Xbox one X the game is gorgeous. Especially so at night with the neon lights, subtle fog and rain effects - it looks beautiful. I'm unsure what resolution it is running at however it looks high - I have noted some ghosting particularly when it's raining and watching NPC vehicles driving over reflections in the rain on the ground, however it's not really noticeable unless you're stopped. Gameplay wise the cars feel good, with plenty of weight for older cars (the Mustang I started with) and better more taught handling with newer cars (the Audi S5 I later upgraded to). The drift mechanism won't be for everyone, however as someone who sucks at drinking ,- I find it really approachable and easy. AI scales well with difficulty levels however I find the police to be too tough. They easily crash your car and have a spring mechanic to them - meaning they magically appear next to you even after losing them. This needs to be balanced better. Overall though, only 6 hours in, I'm really enjoying it. This is by far for me the best NFS game in decades. If you've been on the fence for a while then I recommend giving it a go, but only if you can get it on sale or are able to return it in person if you don't enjoy it.… Expand

    I haven't played it enough to decide if I like it but here's some quick advice: if you're older than 12, set the music and speech volume to 0. I've never been so embarrassed in my life. Hey EA -- I'll pay double the price for a version without the cheesy 'fast and furious' nonsense in it!

    NFS Heat is much better than payback. Tuning has become more diverse, the fleet is much larger, and the cops are even meaner. For me, NFS Heat was the game of the year!

    The perfect mix of underground, most wanted and prostreet. The best need for speed in years. Cops can seem overly difficult at heat 3 and above at the start of the game, but as you progress, outrunning them does become easier. The risk/reward of night is always a thrill though.

Unlike almost EVERY aaa racer this gen, Heat has CHARACTER! it has an actual theme, an actual atmosphere, an actual art style. It felt like the people designing this game really had a vision. And it shows in the gameplay of racing aroundAlthough it's obviously not the second coming of christ it is finally a step in the right direction that has been missing for NFS for the last decade. Unlike almost EVERY aaa racer this gen, Heat has CHARACTER! it has an actual theme, an actual atmosphere, an actual art style. It felt like the people designing this game really had a vision. And it shows in the gameplay of racing around this very nice world with improved but not yet perfect handling (way better than previous ghost games). The cops can be pretty unforgiving at low levels, but if you be patient and practice and wait until youre truely ready to take on high heat levels, you will have some of the most intense fun ever in a racing game! Of course there are problems like a so so framerate and a map that should really have more ai drivers to make it feel more alive, but through post game support i hope this can be a new beginning for NFS.… Expand

    It's a big surprise but EA made a good Need for Speed game, well to be honest it's good because they copied a lot from Forza Horizon but still good job ea. Don't mess it up with stupid microtransactions. In game are 2 things I didn't like. 1 police chase it's so stupid and boring and the lack of race music. I recomend trying the game to everyone.

    Best arcade racer is back at its best form. Great customization, thrilling races and intense sound quality. Story is decent however Avatars need some work. Its a strong 9/10 for me however I’m giving it a 10 for the dumb folks that have brought the ratings down.

    The best nfs game for this generation. Nfs 2015, nfs payback, are the worst nfs games in this generation even though I feel like nfs heat kinda looks like nfs 2015. They did a great job with this game

    You shouldn’t spent more than 20 hours on this game but to get what you want it will 50+ which is not worth it because the game is so boring after 2 hours. Hot pursuit was a great game because you could take cars down multiple ways, that is would is needed here against the cops. Pro Street was also a good game what had different races unlike this which is just the same over and over after like after 6 hours.

Also they put way too much effort into adding a story and cutscenes that are ignorable and yet there is no easy way to skip them, sure you could just stick to repeating generic events to earn rewards but those get repetitive very quickly . Oh and the game revolves around needing to grind rep to unlock anything (even cars you get in the dlc are unusable until your rep rank is high enough, which they don't tell you until after you buy it), so be prepared to spend 10% of your time racing and 90% of your time trying to escape cops that follow no logic whatsoever, and will both appear and dissapear out of thin air. I would only recommend it if you want a cop chasing simulator (and even then GTA is probably better) but for a "racing" game it is far from competitive with any other title.… Expand

Nfs used to be a game with tons of fun now it’s full of broken features and ghost really seems like they don’t know how to make a fun game. They trying to add things inspired by forza horizon and adding some come system that’s broken af. It’s nearly impossible to lose them if you’re in heat 2 and above and even more if you try to get back to the safe house if you somehow manage to lose them on heat 4 while losing every rp you got plus a significant amount of money.. yeah you gon run from the cops for half an hour and you get nothing plus losing like 30k every time. I really wanted to like the game but nfs really died with carbon back then. Im not playing any more nfs til they fire ghost and hire some people who know how to make a fun and realistic racing game. Just play fh4+5, it’s miles ahead.… Expand

    Un peu trop furieuses hélas, car leur hargne, leur agressivité complètement hallucinante nous font halluciner : leurs véhicules défient à dire vrai toutes les lois de la physique en termes de vitesse, d’accélération… et même de solidité. Notre véhicule, pour autant qu’il soit jackyfié à loisir et amélioré à plusieurs niveaux ne peut y résister bien longtemps ! en effet, lorsque la barre de dégâts tombe à zéro, c’est l’arrestation et on perd tout notre fric chèrement gagné…

    En outre, comme si ça ne suffisait pas, il est incroyablement difficile de les semer ! voilà donc toute une partie du jeu complètement foirée. L’autre souci concerne cette « carrière » qui nécessite des niveaux de « réputation » que l’on acquière surtout la nuit ; le jour, l’absence de police reste regrettable (si elle était « normale » au moins !) et on monte bien moins vite en réputation alors que les prérequis pour les missions principales sont toujours plus élevés…

    Le prix des pièces est aussi trop élevé, ce qui invalide l’intérêt d’acheter d’autres bagnoles (très chères elles aussi) et on se coltine donc la même charette, vaille que vaille… sauf à farmer toutes ces courses… qui se ressemblent toutes, encore et encore.

    La « conduite » (entre guillemets) reste elle aussi typiquement « NFS », évidemment arcade mais une mauvaise arcade avec un sous-virage à peine géré et un survirage brutal et incohérent qui rappelle les pires heures des… Ridge Racer ! au XXIème siècle, constater une telle ignominie, c’est stupéfiant !

    Enfin, l’espèce d’histoire est définitivement risible et envahie par les social justice warriors de pacotille avec le côté zyva-wesh-wesh sous cannabis des voix françaises, ce qui n’arrange rien. Cf par exemple la tronche de notre avatar, à choisir parmi une galerie très paritaire, notamment la tronche trisomongolique des avatars féminins gaulés comme des thons, soit dit en passant !

    Mal équilibré, ce NFS avec sa nette tendance au farmage, ses préoccupations SJW (oh que la police est méchante et facho, mais oui…) sa conduite ridicule et ses poursuites ingérables, oui ce NFS est encore raté ! il s’est encore vautré dans le fossé comme un crevard.    … Expand

    I really like the game. The cars handle very good, graphical speaking it is top notch. And the story is pretty well written as well. Yes, it has it's downturns like the poor difficulty balancing, but there will be some tweaking in the future for sure. Oh, and the cars sound amazing and the models in that game are better than in some other racing games. Edit : I wrote this 10 months ago...I really like the game.     This game is actually severely underrated. It manages successfully to re-imagine what a Need For Speed game should be, certainly from playing the story mode. However, online isn't out yet, so be cautious because if it's anything like the previous title, run for your life!

    Another disappointment NFS. The graphics are fine, but the story is very forced politically correct. I didn't like the music. . Electronic Arts ruined the entire saga since the last Need for speed. I miss the NFS Underground and the Most Wanted.

The game starts, and the "music" hurts my ears. A lot. Back in the golden era of NFS series, they tried to make the music more or less enjoyable for many    TL;DR; Based on a good idea. Terrible game design flaws. Horrible music.

    Well, all what I wanted is to have fun with some arcade racing game. No big expectations, I just wanted to have a few rides in my spare time. I have tried Heat. The game starts, and the "music" hurts my ears. A lot. Back in the golden era of NFS series, they tried to make the music more or less enjoyable for many (maybe all) kind of audiences. This one? The first game in my life where I HAVE TO turn off the music, because it makes me vomit. But let's say, that this is ok, music turned off (I repeat: first time in my 25 years of gaming), let's go to the game. It is looking nice. Not as good as Forza Horizon 4, but it is ok. The customization of the cars is really amazing. Even the engine sound can be tuned. I really liked that. The basic idea of dividing the game into day and night racing is also a very good idea, with a lot of potential in it. The driving? Just the usual arcade stuff, I was looking for. Not too hard, easy to learn, and then fun to race. Well... not really fun. The races during the days are more or less ok. At least at first sight. Until I have reached performance levels above 200. Suddenly the AI became much stronger. I am almost not able to beat performance level 205 cars with my 279 stuff. What the hell? How is that possible? Even if I really do no mistakes on the track. Then at the end of the track they suddenly slowing down giving you a last chance to take them over. Really nice, but this is not arcade, this is cheating. Ok, so maybe I have to be MUCH stronger than the competition. I have bought a new BMW for that. I was at reputation level 9. It turned out that in order to buy the really good upgrade stuff for that car, I have to reach at least reputation level 19. Got it? 10 levels between upgrades. Strange, but go for it. You need around 15000 reputation in order to get one level up. The races during the night (still barely above performance level 250) gives you around 2500-3500 points. Do some math. Lets say, the average you get is 3000. So you need five wins per level. It is about 50 race that you have to win during night before getting your car to the next level? Who the hell designed this? But I know what is in your mind: "you have to raise heat level, because this acts as a multiplier to your reputation". That is true. I tell you where the problem is.

    1.) As I mentioned as soon as you reach performance level 200 the AI cars suddenly much faster then you. Frustrating.
    2.) The traffic is literally totally against you. They try to make you crash, EVERY time there is a hill, and you are moving yourself to the opposite lane of the traffic, a car will be placed right before you, and you will crash, that is for sure. The same applies for crossroads. A firetruck, or an ambulance will be crossing it right before you. You have around 99% chance for this to happen. Frustrating.
    3.) The police. I still remember that this is an arcade game. And I've had great-great fun NFS:MW in the good old times. Wrecking almost a hundred chasing cars, and do chases for around an hour. I really liked it. And it was an arcade game as well. But in Heat? That is just terrible, and FRUSTRATING. Their cars are made from solid rock, and they produce 10-20 times better acceleration then an F1 car. Even if we are on a curvy road driving around 200 KM/H, and they are well behind me: from a sudden two police cars are crashing me from behind, with speeds around 350 KM/H. Health goes to half, one more like that and I am over. That happens five seconds later, my night is over, and I have a hard time not crashing my TV with my controller. Because it is just FRUSTRATING. Not hard. Frustrating. Hard is when you can do something better with practice. There is no practice that helps you out in this case, it is random. No driving style saves you from the police. Only glitches, like they can not follow when you jump. Really? Designers? That is the solution? Go for a jump, and since you have implemented an intentionally flawed following logic, after a jump, then maybe you are saved. This what I call a very bad design. Even the advantage you can get is also based on a design flaw.
    4.) Not to mention the destroyable objects. They are very nice. Expect when suddenly turns out that the particular object you hit, was not destroyable, and you are stopped right where you are, and loosed a lots of HP as well. Frustrating. And bad design.

    This game is frustration simulator. And it does it damn well. Every time when you should achieve something in the game, the designers make it much harder to achieve by FRUSTRATING you. Bad design, from bad designers. I am really sorry for that game. It could be a cool arcade game, if challenges wouldn't be based on a random generator, but based on skills and practice. The designers should give a try to the good old NFS:MW from 2005. I say, the race at that time was fun. Not frustrating.    … Expand

    The concept was unique and well thought out. I enjoyed the expansive customization with an avatar and minute car details from tail light options to engine swaps. The execution leaves a little bit to be desired. The simcade feel is slightly off compared to the Horizon mode it was going for.     The game what brought back the gameplay from the arcade tuner racers from the 2000s. It simply just is a very good game, but it is also lacking in terms of graphics, atmosphere and soundtrack.

    Ultimately, Need for Speed: Heat is a decent racer. In fact, I would say it is a great playing one. It’s just missing something new. Since Most Wanted on the 360, the formula hasn’t changed much. Payback tried to, but never really came into its own. Heat has everything that is needed to make a fun racing game, and it does so very well. Maybe I’m just looking for something and don’t really know what it is. I enjoyed my time with Heat and I’m sure other arcade racing fans will too. It’s a solid game that plays and looks great, even with the little grind that may come along with it.

    This latest Need for Speed doesn’t have any luck-based schemes disrupting the progression this time around, but there’s nothing moving the series forward either. The core parts that have been strong in the past aren’t quite as potent here, and the supporting elements feel directionless and half-baked. Need for Speed Heat is like a beat up old ride that’s still good to burn some rubber and get you around town, but don’t expect to turn any heads along the way.

    Need For Speed Heat is more fun than I was expecting. It's hugely enjoyable, and almost relaxing, to fly down the roads of Palm City. If you like NFS games, you'll have a good time with Heat. Personally, grinding away to fully unlock everything in the game doesn't wholly appeal, but I'm sure to be jumping back into this one, for an hour of so of escapism, driving recklessly to raucous music.
