    Look, metacritic is a joke. By now, we all realize this. However, I have to say a rating of above 70 for this game is an absolute travesty by the critics. Everyone must be bought and paid for to even post a review here under the guise of "videogame critic." Bulletstorm is an 80.... this game is a 30, 40 at best. The players move like they are trapped in quicksand, open layups missLook, metacritic is a joke. By now, we all realize this. However, I have to say a rating of above 70 for this game is an absolute travesty by the critics. Everyone must be bought and paid for to even post a review here under the guise of "videogame critic." Bulletstorm is an 80.... this game is a 30, 40 at best. The players move like they are trapped in quicksand, open layups miss consistently, jumpshots are basically worthless. This is not a videogame, this is paid torture with a built in gambling simulator, featuring real money and your actual disappointment. Sure, the animations look half decent... even though they ruin the gameplay entirely. This is nothing like actual basketball, and it isn't fun like a videogame should be.

    I'll be honest, I got this game on sale (deluxe edition) for $25 and I still feel ripped off. TakeTwo interactive is cancerous, and so is this game. They won't refund me because they suck and everyone knows they suck; might as well be EA themselves. Do yourself a favor and buy literally anything else.    … Expand

    My 2K account was hacked and Microsoft did NOTHING!! I lost everything on this stupid game. Be careful if u get hacked no one will help you.

    Game is **** trash. Especially MyPlayer. 2k should be ashamed of themselves for putting out such a god awful game. I don’t even write reviews but I had to tell everyone how trash it was. Worst 2k of the last decade. Only thing good about it is that the graphics are ok. B+ at best graphics. Everything else **** sucks. **** NBA2K20 AND RONNIE 2K

Maybe worst game of all time because it’s business model is to make you worse at basketball in their video game than in real life until you spend at least $30 on micro transactions to make the game playable.     Although an entertaining, realistic basketball experience, this game is all but a good one. There are MICRO-TRANSACTIONS that you can use to progress and upgrade your online multiplayer character. This is PAY-TO-WIN and is unacceptable for any and all multiplayer games. If you like fair and balanced gameplay PLEASE AVOID this game.

All are terrible. I have been playing this 2K series since 2006 (NBA2K6) and i played all series on each year but believe me guys 2K20 is the worst. I’ve been still playing 2K19 which is the best ever.… Expand

    such a terrible game. The cpu is always faster than you. Transition defense doesn't exist on your team. Stops you in the lane to let the defense get infront of you or just stops you. Cpu blocked my team 40+ times in a game I'm pretty sure thats a record and the cpu shoots 80%.impossible to enjoy this game when you watch the cpu move fluidly and you constantly get stuck on people movingsuch a terrible game.     An absolutely painful experience. Impossible to score more than a few points a game. It trivializes video gameplay and offers the user an impossible grind. Hands own the worst game I have ever played. Don't get me started on the pay to play....

    It's very disappointing to be playing a sports game and not have your cpu teammates or My career player make simple layups! I went 1/9 in a game with my 94 character and when I passed the ball my teammates missed shots that the other team simply made. It's overwhelmingly disappointing when I'm playing with the Hornets and they can't get better as players!!! And to top it off I've only wonIt's very disappointing to be playing a sports game and not have your cpu teammates or My career player make simple layups! I went 1/9 in a game with my 94 character and when I passed the ball my teammates missed shots that the other team simply made. It's overwhelmingly disappointing when I'm playing with the Hornets and they can't get better as players!!! And to top it off I've only won 4 games out of 20... That's retarded Ronnie 2K… Expand

    I am trying to get into sport games. This was a bad start. From the gameplay to the graphics and the controls, this is bad. Maybe sport games are just not for me, but I don't think this deserves its price.

    Overall, NBA 2K20 is still the best basketball game on the planet and that doesn’t look to be changing any time soon. While some fans may be upset about microtransactions, it’s not a requirement to play the game. At this point, however, it seems like as long as NBA 2K is the best game out there, microtransactions will be here to stay.

    The shame of all this is that without these practices, NBA 2K20 can stand tall as the best basketball sim available. Even running unopposed with the retirement of the NBA Live franchise, it continues to get better and better on the court, but serious issues surrounding that experience leave it feeling less and less impressive year on year. Here’s hoping 2K can end that trend.

    With new console hardware expected to arrive by late 2020, there’s a good chance much of 2K Sports’ design and programming teams are hard at work making the most of new technology. However, that doesn’t excuse the visual and gameplay gaps that shouldn’t be here. That said, NBA 2K20 is still a fantastic basketball sim with enough modes and features to keep fans busy until those revolutionary next steps start to come in over the next few years.
