    This game is filled with so many little bugs. The grind for this year's game isn't too bad for mycareer. It is actually much easier to get a player to overall 99. The game is the same but a lot of the animations needs some tweaks. The load time and lag for this game are ridiculous. It takes forever to update a player's attribute. Playnow online is kind of unplayable at the moment. In theThis game is filled with so many little bugs. The grind for this year's game isn't too bad for mycareer. If you're excited about myteam this year, don't be. This mode needs a lot of improvement. They should've focused on that mode and just tweak a few things in mycareer. Overall, the game isn't good at the moment.

    There is no improvements in this game over last year nba 2k19. The only good thing is that you can choose what badges you want on the down side you cant go to the training facility to grind them anymore which defeats the purpose. The servers are also horrible. I paid for the legendary edition and still haven't received the extra content

    This is the same game we have been playing for years with little improvement. The gameplay is still way too slow in comparison to real life. Players perform ridiculous animations for otherwise easy shots. Players miss wide-open layups/shots. Shooting is still very hard. Do not buy if you have last years game unless you want a glorified roster update.

    Online Servers: Why do they always neglect their servers. Every year they are terrible MY Player: The neighborhood is the EXACT SAME! LOL and some of the courts are more laggy than others. So many glitches in this section    Ill get the good out of the way... This year they do a good job of letting you earn VC rather quickly. And the badges can be good to play with for your MY Player...

    It's a buggy laggy mess. Constant bugs and freezing on every game mode. The online multiplayer is typical 2k quality (not good). It's yet another pay to win sports game.

    I really don't know where to start with this game because there is so much wrong to touch on. First let me get to the positives. Presentation is top shelf stuff. The soundtrack, TNT style presentation is well done. The commentator rotation has all the names you've come to expect from Chris Webber,    Abysmal game. weaker graphics than previous years, rec and pro am are cheese fests.

    I really don't know where to start with this game because there is so much wrong to touch on.

    First let me get to the positives. Presentation is top shelf stuff. The soundtrack, TNT style presentation is well done. The commentator rotation has all the names you've come to expect from Chris Webber, Kevin Harlan, Kirk Kellogg and Bill Simmons.

    Now for the bad

    My Team features casino like games to win upgrades in the myteam mode. You've probably heard about this fiasco already. The pay to win formula in 2K is criminal. Marketed to kids with scooters and Halloween style neighborhood themes but yet has full blown gambling. Even worse yet, gambling aspects use real money to win fake money.

    Now lets get to the bread and butter of the recent 2k installments, my career. This is where 2K is absolutely embarrassing and Mike Wang should be fired.

    The statistical system in My career/neighborhood doesn't keep accurate stats and some categories have no stats. Your rec center stats for example, in the menus when you check stats.... there's nothing there. Just zeros.

    Gameplay wise Pro am and Rec are cheese fests. Once again players can steal passes with their backed turned to the ball. That's inexcusable. Bump steals still happen. You can have an HOF unpluckable badge and 95 ball handling yet get ripped by a lumbering center. There is zero logic or relation to actual basketball in this game.
    Mid range jumpers are more difficult to hit than well contested 3 pointers. As a matter of fact, teams of 99 rated players just run along the 3 point line waiting to catch the ball and green bar fall away 3 pointers. Absolutely pathetic.

    Centers can outrun point guards on fast breaks. I don't mean Anthony Davis type centers. I mean big heavy centers.
    Glitches galore on top of the fundamentally horrid gameplay mechanics.

Their quest to empty your pockets to buy VC to make your character better is simply greedy, as many others have mentioned.     I only give it a 2 because on a perfect day with no lag and no glitches the core gameplay is ok. 2k19.5 with more problems

    Yeah so this game made no mechanical improvements, it’s poorly made and not improved since 2k19. They barely fixed any glitches in the new update and in career it keeps on randomly making a game impossible to shoot in. I have a 95 ovr 3 point shot and in certain games I shoot with near perfect release wide open and it’ll let me make 1 out of 5 of them at best. Stupid game don’t buy it

Then have to shoot 75% 47 points 13 assists just to have a chance to win, the computer will make every shot it takes. If the game wants you to lose it'll make sure you do. Also, you must spend an extra $50 dollars to get the necessary vc to level up enough to do anything. There's been times I've played this game and the experience made me hate video games so much I didn't want to touch another game for a week and a half. This is the most unnecessarily hard, and over scripted game I've ever played. A massive blue balls waste of time.… Expand

    MyCareer has a good story but it stops there. Period. The most bugs and exploits is    The worst nba2k game to ever release. Flustered with game breaking bugs and features that developers fail to fix or even address.
    MyTeam is fun for a few days but then you realize online is just filled with p2w whales who spend countless VC on card pack openings so you will never truly have a fair game.
    MyCareer has a good story but it stops there. Period. The most bugs and exploits is in myCareer. After playing 50 games I am still not a starter but have more minutes than some starters and the coach doesn't play two uninjured players 90+ rating on our team (Nets). Online is just full of people cherry picking and taking advantage of uneven team balance. Centers rule the game and there is nothing you can do about it. Pro-AM is absolutely dead due to this and park is also dying.
    In conclusion,
    I truly and sadly think the nba2k series will die soon and it's all do to nothing new being added and worse and worse game mechanics each release. If you already have 2k19, it is the same exact game, but if you don't I wouldn't spend more than 10$ on it, and that's pushing the price tag. It's sad to see a series drop this low in quality.    … Expand

    I really want to like nba2k20, not just because I paid for it, but because I respect how much effort 2k put into the game. The graphics are excellent, the faces (even on the wnba pplayers) are well done, and the modes included continue to be best in class among sports games. But game play is king, and the way nba2k20 plays is simply terrible. A lot of glitches and online bugs somehow made a standart in industry and somehow no one of the major reviewers notice it. But here is just one side of a coin. While you will be playing online you will faceOk, I tried to be constructive. I was told myself that I need to look at this game regardless of all that It was been surounded. But here is just one side of a coin. While you will be playing online you will face the second side. The reality of free to play mobile model. In a $60 game. Its not just cosmetics or "time savers". You litterary can not win without real money here. First couple of matches will be ok, after that you will be forced to play with "money" gamers and you don't have a chance.     Do not buy, the game has been exploited early by cheaters who glitched to 99 overall with all hall of fame badges.. this has already put new players like me at a major disadvantage. Its something 2K has acknowledged, but yet to address or even take action on. Trash

    The game is so inconsistent, and the only thing they get remotely correct is 'fast = good, slow = bad'. It seems as if the only part of this game is the soundtrack. The ai will green anything and everything, but 2k will throw you full white glitches whenever you shoot

    This game is **** garbage. Can’t make a shot with any kind of rating high or low, the passing has terrible flow and the computer controlled players act like they’re missing all their chromosomes.

It makes sense that you can’t win them all, but come on with an A+ rating dropping a 40 pt triple double and you lose by 15 because the other teamGave it a 0 for one reason. All are terrible. I have been playing this 2K series since 2006 (NBA2K6) and i played all series on each year but believe me guys 2K20 is the worst. I’ve been still playing 2K19 which is the best ever.… Expand

    Overall, NBA 2K20 is still the best basketball game on the planet and that doesn’t look to be changing any time soon. While some fans may be upset about microtransactions, it’s not a requirement to play the game. At this point, however, it seems like as long as NBA 2K is the best game out there, microtransactions will be here to stay.

    The shame of all this is that without these practices, NBA 2K20 can stand tall as the best basketball sim available. Even running unopposed with the retirement of the NBA Live franchise, it continues to get better and better on the court, but serious issues surrounding that experience leave it feeling less and less impressive year on year. Here’s hoping 2K can end that trend.

    With new console hardware expected to arrive by late 2020, there’s a good chance much of 2K Sports’ design and programming teams are hard at work making the most of new technology. However, that doesn’t excuse the visual and gameplay gaps that shouldn’t be here. That said, NBA 2K20 is still a fantastic basketball sim with enough modes and features to keep fans busy until those revolutionary next steps start to come in over the next few years.
