    This is one of the best pure MX games on the market today. The physics are decent but what really shines is the ground/dirt effects. The berms and ruts are phenomenal. Lap after lap lines will evolve and the stray rut from when you went wide will still be there. If you're looking for pure MX the game is great.

    This is not the game you want if you feel like being Travis Pastrana and    This is one of the best pure MX games on the market today.     This is not the game you want if you feel like being Travis Pastrana and throw double back-flips. There are no tricks in this game, no 360s, no back-flips. Tracks do not have ridiculously huge jumps.

    Customization is about as good as it can be in an MX game. You can swap pipes, brakes, hand guards, rider gear, and things like that. In career mode you will get offers from different teams but they appear to all be pretty much the same, or you can race for your own team.

    There is a Motocross of Nations mode that seems true to the actual race. Nothing to write home about but cool nonetheless.

    The only negative I have with this game is that it's blurry. For some reason they decided to add some blur filter to the entire game. Little to no impact when you're racing but when you're standing still it's glaringly obvious. Better looking overall than MXGP2 but MXGP2 is not blurry at all.

    Overall I feel like the game is an improvement over MXGP2 and would recommend it.    … Expand

Déjà, leurs MotoGP sont de plus en plus bâclés au fil des ans et leurs tentatives de diversification avec les motos de tourisme (les "Ride") ont tourné court : ce sont en effet des daubes épouvantables.

    Du côté du Motocross, ce n'est guère mieux avec déjà (!) la troisième mouture de    Décidément Milestone, le vénérable développeur italien sort ses jeux à une cadence un peu trop élevée... Déjà, leurs MotoGP sont de plus en plus bâclés au fil des ans et leurs tentatives de diversification avec les motos de tourisme (les "Ride") ont tourné court : ce sont en effet des daubes épouvantables.

    Du côté du Motocross, ce n'est guère mieux avec déjà (!) la troisième mouture de leur MXGP... on se demande à quoi peuvent ressembler les deux précédentes, car on a rarement vu de jeu plus laid, plus affreux dans ce domaine avec ce MXGP... 3 ! Il utilise ici le moteur Unreal pour des raisons d'économie (on s'en doute), un moteur très fréquemment utilisé par les **** développeurs indés avec des fortunes très diverses...

    Or, Milestone ne peut certainement pas être considéré comme un acteur de la scène "indé", vu leur passé et leur taille, d'autant que leurs jeux sont vendus au tarif "plein pot"... Ainsi, proposer des graphismes pareils est une insulte à leur clientèle ou tout autre clientèle potentielle dailleurs : mais de qui se moque-t-on à la fin ?

    Mais ce n'est pas tout, car le pilotage est presque aussi bâclé, l'IA bien trop rapide, les sensations sont absentes ; l'environnement sonore est aussi pauvre que l'environnement graphique constamment à la masse. Les menus même sont affreux et mal foutus, les temps de chargement longuets...

    On relance n'importe quel MX vs ATV après ce truc et c'est le jour et la nuit... toute comparaison est très cruelle pour le jeu de Milestone à cet égard ! Voilà donc un foutage de gueule complet qu'on ne saurait trop recommander d'éviter.    … Expand

    As someone who completed MXGP 2 (100%), I could not be more disappointed in this release. The first thing you'll note, is that the graphics look like they have a blur filter going on, the numbers on the bikes can be hard to read at times. The load times are just as bad as MXGP 2 and there's now a load screen in between heats. The real let down is the game play though. The bikes feelAs someone who completed MXGP 2 (100%), I could not be more disappointed in this release. The bikes feel stiff and rigid, the in helmet view is unbearable (was my go-to in #2) and the bikes just don't have any feeling like they did in MXGP 2. Overall, it feels worse in almost every aspect when compared to MXGP 2. I really hope they can figure it out on the next one.… Expand

    There are a few things I no longer expect to be a problem when playing any game these days. Bad graphics and long load times. MXGP3 suffers from both.

    It is very rare you'll find a modern game with poor graphics. We've just come so far in terms of technology that basically any game studio can put something out that looks at the very least decent. This game genuinely looks like something the last gen of consoles could produce with ease. Textures are jagged, you can barely read the names on the backs of the jerseys, the ad stands are low res and jagged. The bikes lack any real detail as do the courses which have basically no life to them whatsoever outside of some random flares going off. It looks as bad as I have seen a game look in a very long time. Everything is sort of blurred through a filter which seems like something they've done to cover up the fact that there is basically little to no graphics on show here.

    The load times are absolutely terrible and it loads again in between heats. What is it loading?! Why does it take so long to load whats there anyway? These aren't gigantic sprawling courses filled with detail its a big deluge of brown with some ad hoardings. How can it feasibly take nearly a minute to load that and then require to be loaded again to start a race. Forza Horizon 4 genuinely doesn't take much longer to load it's entire map at the beginning of the game than this takes to load up a race.

    The racing itself is no prize either. The physics are awful and unrealistic. Bikes will frequently clash in the air but rather than causing crashes they just sort of bump off invisible buffers around the rider/bike. In my last race a CPU rider brushed my head in mid air and all it did was force the nose end of my bike down a bit. It's no fun to ride around the courses either. It is honestly more fun riding a bike in GTA V than it is on this bike specific simulator.

    The sound is absolutely awful. Your engine is just constantly running at the exact same high note of noise the entire time. Besides that there is basically no sound design to even speak of. Menu music is about as generic as you can get and thats it. No voice acting, no announcers, nothing.

    Thankfully this is on gamepass because if I had paid absolutely anything for this I would be bitterly disappointed. The whole thing seems like no effort or pride was put in making it. It's more like they won the licence for MX and then realized they had to make a game with it. This was the result and its dreadful.

    MXGP3 benefits from the switch to Unreal Engine showing better graphics and a more realistic physics simulation, confirming itself as the reference game for off-road bike games.

    Even if the third installment in the MXGP series still presents some flaws – which we think will be addressed in the near future – the outstanding improvements made by Milestone in comparison with previous titles can not go unnoticed. As of today, it certainly is the best game of its genre.

    MXGP 3 pointing to the complete transition to the Unreal Engine, which allows a more realistic yield and timely pace. Unfortunately, at least on Xbox One, graphic compromises are obvious, with a frame rate of 30 frames low, and a very blurry picture. For the rest, the most important thing is the spirit of a surprisingly entertaining title.
