    Last year’s MotoGP was without a doubt my favourite the series has delivered so far, so MotoGP 18 had some big shoes to fill. Thankfully it does fill these shoes somewhat and there are some improvements over last year’s game, but there also a couple of negatives as well. MotoGP 18 does however get a lot more right than it gets wrong and whilst I prefer MotoGP 17 in some areas it’s still aLast year’s MotoGP was without a doubt my favourite the series has delivered so far, so MotoGP 18 had some big shoes to fill. MotoGP 18 does however get a lot more right than it gets wrong and whilst I prefer MotoGP 17 in some areas it’s still a very good addition to the series. One of the areas that seems to improve every year is the bike physics, and once again this aspect of the game has been improved. Whilst the bike physics were pretty good in last year’s game this year the physics feel more realistic and in a way this makes racing feel a little more satisfying and immersive. I also feel that the AI has improved this time around as well because they are a lot more intelligent and less aggressive which means racing against them remained fun for quite a bit longer. Technichally the game holds up well throughout your time with the game and I didn’t come across many problems at all, which is always a good thing. In terms of content there is a decent amount for you to be getting on with but there isn’t as much content as last year. I must admit that I was a little disappointed to see that the managerial career had been removed because in my opinion this injected some new life into the MotoGP series. I was also a little disappointed when it came to the career mode as well. Don’t get me wrong the career mode isn’t bad and it does provide you with quite a few enjoyable moments it’s just that it doesn’t have enough depth in my opinion and that can harm the replaybility a little bit. One thing the game has done this year though is that it’s made itself accessible to a wider range of gamers. It doesn’t matter if you’re a beginner or a veteran of the series because each different skill level has been catered for and I can see this bringing a few more fans to the table, which is always good. The presentation side of the game has quite a bit more detail over its predecessor and I especially found this to be the case when it came to the riders and tracks. The replays though aren’t as good and look terrible at times, but thankfully the rest of the game looks and sounds spot on. At the end of the day the MotoGP series is still a must buy game for me each year and it’s nice to see improvements being made every time a new game comes out. MotoGP 18 may not be as good as MotoGP 17 but it’s still a very good game and if you’re a fan of the series then once again you will thoroughly enjoy what the game has to offer.… Expand

    2018 and this franchise continues to make the bike move like a bowling pin. Did anyone in
    MILESTONE S.R.L play MotoGP 2 on the first Xbox or PC did not? Because they never got close to that result in the physics of the bike.
    And the sound? what the hell is this? god... nooooo...

    it clearly looks better than the 2017 game, and the riders, bikes, tracks have been scanned 1:1! the handling is nice and you cant go full on the brakes or u will go to hell.
    the rain looks IMPRESSIVE!

    MotoGP 18 is a clear step forward from its predecessor with the previously used proprietary engine already looking dated. However, it still feels like a transitional title as Milestone brings the UE4 engine to the franchise for the first time. The latest installment reinforces the studio's strengths with the physics, handling, and racing remaining top notch but it also highlights Milestones continuing struggles with the visual presentation.

    MotoGP 18 benefits from a very cool gameplay, better than any previous MotoGP game. But this is at the expense of the content, this new entry in the series will frustrate most of the fans it is targeting.

    MotoGP 18 feels almost like reboot for Milestone's series, thanks to a brand new engine and renewed driving model and play modes. It looks like the devs didn't have enough time to completely fulfill their vision though, and we're left with a good game but with wide margins for improvement.
