    Metal Wolf Chaos XD is a Third-Person Shoot 'Em Up set in a fictional USA, and an XBOX Classic Japanese Exclusive Remastered. You are the 47th President of the United States, and the Vice president has taken the country over with an Iron Fist and Propaganda. Now, with you top secret Battle Mech, Code Name Metal Wolf, you are tasked with the job of defeating the US Army and reclaiming theMetal Wolf Chaos XD is a Third-Person Shoot 'Em Up set in a fictional USA, and an XBOX Classic Japanese Exclusive Remastered. You are the 47th President of the United States, and the Vice president has taken the country over with an Iron Fist and Propaganda. Now, with you top secret Battle Mech, Code Name Metal Wolf, you are tasked with the job of defeating the US Army and reclaiming the Freedom of the US. Armed to the teeth, with the ability to research new weapons, blast your way across the country in an attempt to free it from the Vice's evil clutches. While the concept sounds good, the games mechanics are lacking, a lot. I faced foes shooting me through large buildings, and taking damage from unseen sources. It handles well enough at most times, but the movement feels over encumbered, and it hinders the already shaky game play. The plot is thin, with mediocre voice acting, and constant repetitive commentary from the other characters in the game. There is a bit of humor that redeems the constant chatter a little, but becomes bland fast. The combat and objectives are repetitive, and need a bit of diversity. Some of the Bosses were nice concepts, but poorly executed. For a remastered game the graphics and sound both felt unpolished, and scratchy, detracting even more from the immersion. Metal Wolf Chaos isn't a game I would recommend unless You've been after this old XBOX Japanese Exclusive.… Expand

    Funny at times, but not a lot of fun to play, metal wolf chaos feels too much like a relic. [Issue#182, p.85]

    Metal Wolf Chaos XD is a ridiculous game and I love that we live in a time where something like this can come back. Players need to know what they are getting into before jumping in though. This is an awkward game from a different time and this remaster adds little outside of some sharper visual flare. It is still a truly interesting piece of gaming history and I am thrilled it can exist for players today to experience.

    This is a game from another time, best enjoyed with your brain switched off, some friends to laugh with, and perhaps a bottle of extremely cheap spirits.
