    The thing with Mekorama is that it’s partially missing that killer puzzle game feature. It has ideas, but not enough of them versus the amount of levels that are on offer. As a result some stages can feel repetitive, meaning when you hit a difficult one you’ll most likely give up quicker than you otherwise would have done.

    Mekorama: This point and click puzzle game has you control a little robot who appears to have crash landed on earth. Gameplay: This is a point and click puzzle game, while generally not sounding fun this is quite an enjoyable game. Your aim is to guide your little Mech spaceman from point A to point B (The exit) in gradually harder and more incricate 3d puzzles (Buildings, little arenas or crazy designs). With 100 premade levels "out the box" plus a custom level creator this quirky little puzzle games has tonnes of replayability value. With a few thrown in tricks thrown in along the way this will keep you thinking just enough and not enough to be overly frustrating The controls are basic point and click with the bumper buttons to rotate the camera, may take a little while to get used to as I personally felt the need to lower the camera but once you adjust they are fine. The UI is also very simplistic and nice, using the bumper buttons to turn pages was very pleasant way to navigate the menu. Visually the game focuses more on the level designs opting for plain backgrounds. This works and provides a pleasant experience for the player as whole. Overall I didn't expect to like this game however I really have been won over by the gorgeous level designs and simplistic UI. I highly reccomend this game.… Full Review »

    When I first saw Mekorama sitting in my email to review the first thing that came to mind was "Captain Toad Treasure Tracker. After playing it though you start to say to yourself this is a Indie title though. I bet your thinking I mean that in a bad way, but I don't I mean it as in that is hard to believe. Nintendo made a puzzler based off cute characters made famous 30 years ago on the NES. There really isn't anything special about it. It's just cute characters from the Mario series. If it was any one else it wouldn't be a tenth as popular as it is., and you would probably never even heard of it. Martin Magni didn't have that option he had to do something original and smart and hope the fans enjoyed it. I can tell you right now this fan did. he delivered a cute original character. Adorable little robots you fall in love with at first sight. It is more than that though. He delivered something brilliant. The main thing that differs from the two titles. The 3D puzzles are so more in depth and difficult The Map areas are so elaborate some times upon viewing you just panic, and think it all ends here I won't figure this one out. I love that about it it offers such a challenge, and value. $5 for this game is just hard to believe really. It's going to give you hour upon hour of game play. I don't think you will remember them after doing them so it will offer some replay value as well. The way you move around the puzzles

    I really enjoyed the menu music and set up. There are four different skill levels. Each skill level has 25 puzzles so you have 100 to choose from. Each skill level is on on it's own page, and as you complete one another card flips opening another level to you. Even the beginner ones aren't super simple though. There is a real challenge from start to finish. All the puzzles have different themes as well so you aren't getting used to one thing and mastering it. You will have puzzles with enemies to avoid that shock you, Levels where you have to make NPCs take different routes to get around them, puzzles with rotating objects and even puzzles where the whole level rotates. You can never get set in your ways there is so much variety. That it never feels repetitive or boring at all. It's one of those games that is going to take a lot of time unless you cheat and use a walk through. It's one of those games you will probably step away from awhile, and come right back to it hoping to figure out something different this time around. I can't even begin to really relay to you the variety in the puzzles. If you are a fan of puzzlers this is a can't miss title. It's really going to feel like something special to you. To be honest it really took me back to that feeling I had the first time I discovered Portal my favorite puzzler of all times.

    You can tell Ratalaika Games was involved by the Achievements. They are all pretty simple t figure out, and you don't have to finish the game to get a complete game. The last one you will probably get is finishing all the medium levels. All of them are for beating certain levels besides that except one for creating a map. If your just looking for a easy completion you can prob get this one in about a hour with a walk through. I think you should really play this one though it's certainly worth your time. It's a really surprising, and well put together indie puzzler that surpasses a ton of big time developed ones. Don't miss out on Mekorama it's really one of the best puzzlers of this Gen, and all times.

    Mekorama is 3D puzzling perfection. It doesn't need to use any gimmicks or popular characters to be a great game. It's greatness is in it's development. So full of new ideas and challenges at $5 just seems like theft.When times are like they are now, and your stuck inside I can't think of a better way to spend five dollars, and I can't think of a game more deserving of that 5 dollars.    … Full Review »
