It's interpersonal relationships, making friends with and learning about the Marvel superheroes. The combat is very innovative and interesting, I've never seen any turn-based combat like this. If you play tactical combat games, you'll probably like this new approach, at least as variety. In sum, if you like the idea of immersion in the Marvel superhero world, and don't need every game to be an action game, then check this game out.
