    I’m an absolute sucker for a good party game because the amount of fun they can deliver is second to none at times. Marooners takes on the party game formula really well and whilst it’s not the best game the genre has to offer there is still without a doubt a lot of enjoyment present in the game. The gameplay is fast, fluid and very simple to pick up and play. Marooners takes on the party game formula really well and whilst it’s not the best game the genre has to offer there is still without a doubt a lot of enjoyment present in the game. The gameplay is fast, fluid and very simple to pick up and play. People of all ages can play and when there is a group of you then the amount of fun you can have is off the charts. There are a few different modes for you to try out, but without a doubt my favourite mode was Chaos Mode. The name of this mode kind of says it all but I must admit that Chaos Mode definitely has a unique feeling to it. If you haven’t got anybody at hand to play with you then you can play the game on your own, but I will say that the game will be nowhere near as enjoyable when played this way. Another thing I will say is that this game isn’t a game best enjoyed in long periods instead it shines brightest when played in short bursts because things can become repetetive quite quickly. I will say though that the game does have quite a bit replayability and that’s mainly down to the unlockables you can obtain. There are multiple unlockables and each one is worth collecting because you can customise your characters a lot, which is great. I would however have liked a bit more customisation and variety when it came to the weapons you can use in the game. The presentation side of the game is actually something I enjoyed. Visually the game is packed full of colour and looks vibrant at all times and when you combine this with the funny sound design it ends up making your experience even more fun. At the end of the day Marooners has joined a packed genre and it’s certainly not the best party game I’ve ever played, but it’s also far from being the worst. There are some unique touches here and there and this in my opinion is a very good reason to pick up this game. Another reason to pick up the game is because the mechanics are solid and anybody can play and the best thing is that it’s enjoyable for both adults and children, and for that reason it does more than enough to get a thumbs up from me.… Expand

    The greatest game ever to be conceived, an infinite supply of enjoyment. I have never had more fun playing a videogame than when I'm playing marooners. A true masterpiece.

    I think back to all of my all-nighters and sleep-overs of a time long past, where my friends would come-a-knocking with their Dr.Pepper and their Doritos, and we’d stay up until the birds came out playing all of the best multiplayer games you can think of. This is a role which I just can’t see Marooners filling for today’s kids.

    If you’re after a casual experience that can be enjoyed either online with strangers or offline with family and friends, then this is a great little game for you to earn those bragging rights.
