    It's better than Madden 21 and while there are improvements in Franchise Mode, I feel like there could be more. And they made improvements to the gameplay. However, I honestly don't like the new home field advantage and the return of X- Factors. But overall, Madden NFL 22 is a very solid game.

    I thought it was definitely better the madden 21, they revamped franchise which was nice, however there is a bit of bugs bit it’s early access and most of the bugs will be patched, overall it’s a solid game.

I haven't purchased a title since 18, and I decided to get 22 when the price was dropped. I popped it in and had a nice experience!     Gameplay still is scripted, franchise is better than the last few years. They finally updated the super bowl celebration. Overall Could 100% be better.

    Can't overlook what they've done to franchise so good work to them on that, lots more to add but this is the right step in the right direction. Gameplay tho, way to heavy on animations are scripted outcomes.     Still feels like the same game it has been for 9 years with new and old bugs within. Franchise at this time is literally unplayable because the home team never has any points or stats post game. This is sad because not amazing franchise took some good steps to start being enjoyable in the next few years if ea stayed committed. Superstar ko is literally untouched but ea took teams out the mode. Ultimate team is still a mobile game full of micrograms actions and the same crappy gameplay. Like always online is horrible because of a annoying meta plays the defense can't stop. There is a new game mode called championship series but I didn't touch it since it took me straight to ultimate team. And the yard is untouched.recommend you buy it So not buy this game it is not worth it.… Expand

    First of all, I‘d like to point out the positive fact, that EA has reacted to their community by apparently trying to improve their Franchise mode. Hashtags such as #fixmaddenfranchise were trending and it is good to see them actually responding to this.

    However, the only difference you can actually feel in this game, is the different layout of menus and little additions such as the homefield advantage. This community desperately asks for a more in depth customization of their playing experience. The staff options are decent, but they were not even among the top 5 additions, that this community frequently asks for. I understand that EA or the NFL has concerns about customization aspects, such as creating a team with jerseys or adding tattoos. Yet these are the little things, that are possible on a technical side and EA had this stuff in their games over a decade ago.

    To summarize my point: it‘s the same game as every year, with some different menus. The gameplay and graphics changes are hardly noticable. Their "additions“ simply can‘t change the fact, that you get bored after less then a single season in Franchise Mode. Safe your money guys and lets just hope that the upcoming NCAA will simply copy everything they had in 2014 with better graphics. It‘s sad, but that would already be a huge improvement compared to every Madden after Madden 25. And if there is one wish I can ask for:

    Keep those Madden developers as far away from the NCAA-game as possible. Please EA, just do it for your community. It will be worth it.    … Expand

    I played the free trial this weekend and it's still the same trash as the last few years. Poor physics, the menu music is all rap, not enough customization (except your own avatar), the same boring commentary...

    I was cautiously optimistic about this game releasing. This game is one of the most broken games I have ever played. All of the franchise improvements have been built upon a broken engine. The should be no reason where I can still see the coach flash in the background when upgrading players. Franchise improvements are shown but are thrown to the side dude to many game breaking bugs andI was cautiously optimistic about this game releasing. Freezes, crashes and bugs plague this game making it stressful instead of enjoyable. Not to mention the pre launch of this game promised features still not available in the game.     EA is just lazy and doesn't even try to put out a complete game. Even the changes it boasts are minimal and lackluster. 3 weeks in and rookies still have no profile pic. Something small but it just shows how little they care to give you a finished product.

Buggy and horrible gameplay, terrible story mode, some pointless multiplayer game modes that hardly add onto the game, and probably the worst offender out of them all, an extremely FLAT franchise experience.     This has to be the worse game of all time. It’s time madden stops taking our money for a new roster each year. That’s really all we buy it for because we always expect the same trash of a game with pay to win MUT mode. Franchise mode is terrible as always. The game is broken. No skill or football knowledge needed whatsoever. TRASH. Save your money and DO NOT BUY THIS GAME.

If you accept the offer they start you off making sure that you can't possibly lose vs the cpu and before you know it you're building a team.     While the RyanMoody21 and SoftDrinkTv YouTube channels exposes just how fake fixed & garbage this game is. Allow me to explain further on this monopoly.

    The game is designed to keep you online as much as possible to increase the odds that you will spend money. Its best exploit is by not matching you up against players of your skill level or simply anyone, but they make sure that you play who they want you to play AND when you play, EA will help the team that they want to win. Why? I've never heard anyone explain this yet, but if EA can keep everyone's record close to even, everyone will think that spending money to attempt to get just another player or 2 that they will be able to dominate and tip the scales on their winning percentage. It never works that way though. You still win the same amount. Your new player will perform like a true champion but other players will be slacking. The new players play hard for a month when released and then EA slows them down which makes you want to upgrade again and then you find yourself paying EA again.
    There's a number of different types of crypto currencies in the game except this is not able to be cashed in ever. It just serves to get you to again reach for your wallet.

    All of the different game modes that were a part of Madden and the fun things you could do before Ultimate Team took off are gone. You can play without Ultimate Team but Ultimate Team is EAs ONLY focus with the game.

    EA puts out a pre-order edition every year but it's never based around Madden but particularly the ultimate team mode. Every load screen is another attempt to try luring you to ultimate team mode. Right now, you can win but this is the early access period. In just a few days, as sure as always, EA will change up the online matchmaking. At that point, go check all your friends records. You can do this all the way back to Madden 15 and what you will see is that everyone wins 45 to 63% of their games.
    Save your money. The game will be free in no time. Actually EA is already giving the game away for free. Here's how: go on Twitter and type in #MaddenNFL22 or #Madden22. You'll find endless people saying that they are giving away codes to download the game for free. Those codes are coming straight from EA because only they can produce them. This is yearly. They don't care about selling the game. They want you in ultimate team so they can make tons more from you via microtransactions. While plenty of people claim to not spend on their team, this strategy is calling them liars.    … Expand

For the love of football please give up the exclusive rights. Otherwise fire everybody, maybe then you’ll have enough “resources” to actually program a functioning logic system. Don’t waste your money just roster update your old game. It’s even worse on the next gen console. Like you can see the difference with other game developers, but ea(madden) have gone backwards. I’d rather settle for D listed titles just for my football fix, because then I can at least get a functional game. Ea you’re a dumpster fire on epic proportions. I’m sure I’ll be back next year with a hopefully a lower rating than 0…. That’s my expectations at this point… Expand

    Wow look madden 21 is out again. No wait, madden 20, oh wait, madden 15. Ah there all the same anyways. Still not worth the $60 roster update guys. Don't buy the game. EA is gonna have to do more than what they've done this year to make a good game. Just terrible. Can't even be angry anymore. Just disappointed.

    It's honestly impressive how Madden continues to make a worse and worse game at this point... Someone, anyone, please make a quality football game, because EA clearly isn't going to. It doesn't even need to be NFL licensed, just give me quality gameplay and customization and I'll be happy.

    Couldn't be more disappointed with the next gen gameplay. Just when I thought things couldn't get worse last year a repackage of the same game with a $60 price tag. This more of a title update then a new game. Been playing madden since 2003 and this will be the first year I don't buy the game.

Gameplay is completely rng animation based; so it’s more like a Telltale game where you chose a play, set up pre snap, then click a button and hope for the rng animation to be in your favor.     For gamers who haven’t purchased a new Madden title in a few years (and refuse to spend time hunting for a new console) this is a solid, thorough sports sim that still brings a wealth of gameplay to the table.

    Madden NFL 22 is another Madden game, with not many new features to warrant a new price label of $59.99. If you do not like NFL Football, you will not like this game. While known NFL commentators such as Rich Eisen lend their talent to this entry, it is wasted by being overshadowed by nameless voices called ‘coach’. Ultimately, if you own Madden NFL 21 and don’t NEED to play online, you could possibly skip this entry.
