    Somehow even going in expecting to be dissapointed EA never fails to leave me with even more dissapointedment than I was expecting. It is amazing how somehow this game (that is horrible gameplay and bug wise) somehow gets worse every year. At this point its criminal that EA is still retaining all of these exclusive liscences.

    I'm old. I believe I have played every version of this game ever made at least a little. How does it keep getting worse yet still sell? I think it peaked in 2003, that was my favorite and most addicted I've been, and the building your own team mode for 2003 was better than this. How is that possible? I miss playing football video games, they made a Blitz game like a decade ago, that wasI'm old. I believe I have played every version of this game ever made at least a little. Just no fun, too easy to trick the DBs with the same few pass plays, none of it feels fluid or exciting. Just learn the few trick pass plays and use the best team is everybodys online strategy. Building a team is no fun. They need to let other people make football games… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I’m a defensive player so this madden sucks. Mostly because you can’t tackle anyone. So many broken tackles in this game it’s annoying. You’ll have a player in the backfield doesn’t matter because the running back is gonna break and run for a first down. Another thing secondary doesn’t react to the jump button. I can count how many times I had my player in the perfect position to make a play on the ball and they wouldn’t jump. Instead I would get mossed and watch them score a touchdown. Also I think there needs to be some type of QB clock because I can have a team locked up on offense but a team with a bad O line will stop you from getting to QB and have them throw to open WR down field because my secondary can’t keep up. There is no flow to the game some times I feel like it’s scripted and the game knows when to attack and fall back. This isn’t a good madden. Crazy how madden 08 is better than EA has release in years.… Expand

    It's honestly impressive how Madden continues to make a worse and worse game at this point... Someone, anyone, please make a quality football game, because EA clearly isn't going to. It doesn't even need to be NFL licensed, just give me quality gameplay and customization and I'll be happy.

Freezes, crashes and bugs plague this game making it stressful instead of enjoyable. Not to mention the pre launch of this game promised features still not available in the game.     This game is better than Madden 21. Barely. The gameplay is practically identical to Madden 21s. The franchise mode has improvements, but they are all features that were in the game years ago. We shouldn't praise EA for re-adding features. FOF is bad, the storyline still super cheesy, just not a good game over all.

I haven't purchased a title since 18, and I decided to get 22 when the price was dropped. I popped it in and had a nice experience! Buggy and horrible gameplay, terrible story mode, some pointless multiplayer game modes that hardly add onto the game, and probably the worst offender out of them all, an extremely FLAT franchise experience.     Worse Madden game in the franchise. EA copied and pasted from last year but somehow made it worse. Zone coverage dose not work. .. ever . Wayyyyy too many glitches in the game. PLEASE DROP EA.

    EA is just lazy and doesn't even try to put out a complete game. Even the changes it boasts are minimal and lackluster. 3 weeks in and rookies still have no profile pic. Something small but it just shows how little they care to give you a finished product.

The absolute ONLY reason I’ve played madden this king is because I deeply love football and this is the only experience I can get. EA simply just SPITS in your face releasing this garbage. For an example, when you play superstar ko with normal nfl teams and you pick the panthers, Ron Rivera is the panthers coach on the field… Ron Rivera hasn’t been the coach of the panthers in YEARS. Another example when you pick the rams it shows their old logo not their new logo. It honestly blows my mind how little of a **** EA (A multi billion dollar company) gives. They care so little they can’t even spell words in the game or assign the right coaches. Also Whenever I play madden and the game will always find a way to freeze up and lag for me on CRUCIAL plays and this ONLY happens on crucial moments. People get away online running the same defense over and over and over and confusing the computer and using cheap offensive tactics. Most people don’t mix up their plays rather use about 5-10 that actually work out of the “hundreds” available. There are just lan infinite amount of problems with this absolute D I S G R A C E of a game that a true football fan would be able to identity. EA just shovels out this heap of steaming **** just because they know there are NO other options for football fans who want to control their favorite NFL team. Even after years of madden my mind gets blown at the minuscule effort put into this game and the ways the game rig itself to make games more ‘fair’. I could write a whole book about how bad this game is and how it will use cheap tactics such as lag and inaccurate passes to rig itself, to make the game less competitive.… Expand

If a game gets an update that’s over 10 GB and it isn’t a new game mode, then the game should’ve never been released. Franchise mode in general has gone untouched.     I played the free trial this weekend and it's still the same trash as the last few years. Poor physics, the menu music is all rap, not enough customization (except your own avatar), the same boring commentary...

    I just downloaded it as a part of free play days.. Got it for free a few days.. Yet i still feel rubbed and taken in the ass by EA.. Stopped playing after 15 minutes and its 15 minutes plus the wait when it downloaded that i will never get back.. Maybe its been too long since i played a madden game but this game is broken.. Cant be me myself alone.. The mechanics are just bad.. EverythingI just downloaded it as a part of free play days.. Got it for free a few days.. Yet i still feel rubbed and taken in the ass by EA..     This game is absolute garbage! Toss all the bugs and glitches and broken mechanics aside, this game is not a good simulation football game. We want a totally different on the field experience! Don't care about the pLaYeR rAtInGs, or the menus, or MUT, or superstar KO, or fAcE oF tHe FrAnChIsE! We want an on the field simulation NFL football game!! #NFLdropEA

    Madden has no customization. NBA 2K has expansion teams, custom conferences, uploading team designs and logos. Madden doesn't even have a create a team feature. Franchise mode has no depth anymore all they did was add a little bit of boring scouting features. EA desperatly needs some competition in the simulation football game because Madden has been terrible for almost a decade now.

    Absolutely positively garbage. I am so upset at EA and this game. I am also upset at the NFL for giving this joke of a company the sole right to make an NFL game. 2k is a million times better than Madden 22. I am so upset about this game that I am no longer a fan of the NFL and will never buy or play anything from EA again. I will never go to an NFL game as well.

They really don't care about making a good game and then rub it in your face. They should be sued for releasing an unfinished game. So many bugs. Even if they fixed them the game would be the same as it. Was in Madden 17 lmao

    People please, stop buying Madden or spending money on Ultimate Team.
    There is no other way to make EA reconsider and rebuild the game (preferably using Madden 07 on PS2/XBOX as a reference).    … Expand

    For gamers who haven’t purchased a new Madden title in a few years (and refuse to spend time hunting for a new console) this is a solid, thorough sports sim that still brings a wealth of gameplay to the table.

    Madden NFL 22 is another Madden game, with not many new features to warrant a new price label of $59.99. If you do not like NFL Football, you will not like this game. While known NFL commentators such as Rich Eisen lend their talent to this entry, it is wasted by being overshadowed by nameless voices called ‘coach’. Ultimately, if you own Madden NFL 21 and don’t NEED to play online, you could possibly skip this entry.
