    Good but, pretty slow and drawn out, as well some of the ambiguity around your actions leaves you wondering whether or not you've made a undesirable action, unfortunately you would have to play through a second time to try to figure out exactly what the ramifications of what you are doing are. It's not alluring enough for that.

    Начинается история со встречи двух подруг при не самых благоприятных обстоятельствах, после которых Макс получает суперсилу из-за сильного стресса - теперь она умеет отматывать время назад и менять уже прошедшие события, это и будет главной фишкой игры! Реализована перемотка крайне грамотно и не ощущается как читерство вместо перезапуска чекпоинтов, она является неотъемлемым элементом геймплея и использовать её необходимо в ключевых моментах. Сила пригодится при выборе неблагоприятных вариантов ответа, а также задавая неудобный вопрос в диалоге, выводящий из себя собеседника, можно узнать важную информацию, но быть посланным куда подальше. Перематываем, отвечаем иначе или задаём другой вопрос и меняем уже прошедшие события так как нам хочется или как будет правильно, всё зависит от вас - можете пытаться всем угодить, а можете поступать по совести, приняв последствия решений.

    Как вам такое - знать, что будет после принятия решения, понимать последствия, но всё равно оставить как есть и идти дальше, вытерев слёзы?
    Мне было непросто, в том числе и из-за привязанности к тем, на кого повлияют решения! Даже неприятный мне персонаж раскрывается со временем и уже не всё так однобоко, как на первый взгляд кажется - в этом и кроется магия игры, за что спасибо сценаристам, актёрам и постановщикам!

    Нас ждут по большей части грустные события, периодически разбавляемые позитивными моментами, которые в такой депрессивной истории просто как глоток воды в пустыне и поэтому когда что-то такое радостное происходит, то искренне радуешься мелочам, как в жизни. Такой эффект достигается благодаря подробной проработке игрового мира и неторопливому повествованию - игроку даётся шанс полностью исследовать локации и пообщаться с второстепенными персонажами.
    Концовка игры немного нелогичная, но в этой киношке главное не концовка, а сам процесс, вытягивающий наружу весь спектр эмоций от умиления до ярости.

    Далее хотелось бы рассказать о минусах, в основном связанных с изменением прошедших событий, то есть о некоторой нелогичности и ляпах, но не могу я данный шедевр оценивать объективно… никак не получается, поэтому нахрен минусы - всё шикарно! Если приквел мне просто очень понравился, то основная часть по всем параметрам «быстрее, выше, сильнее и эпичнее»!
    10 из 10 и в данной ситуации мои полномочия всё… закончены    … Expand

    Life Is Strange falls in between of OK, and bad. The story of the game is corny and fun, and sometimes emotional. It's a solid adventure, and I had some fun with it. But, the voice acting is inconsistent. Sometimes it may be bearable, or absolutely horrendous. The lip syncing is trash, and don't even get me started on the dialogue... sheesh. I am trying not to spoil much here, in fact, asLife Is Strange falls in between of OK, and bad. The story of the game is corny and fun, and sometimes emotional. Also, the game has only 2 endings, so choices never matter in the long run. You could make completely different choices than you did the first time you played and get the same ending.
    Overall, it's a below average game that with just a few tweaks could be great. I wanted a 6.7 out of 10, but I'll go with 6. Mediocre at best.    … Expand

    O jogo nos faz decidir a vida de Maxine Caulfield (cujo apelido carinhoso é Max), uma estudante de fotografia que descobre possuir a habilidade de voltar no tempo a qualquer momento, fazendo com que cada escolha sua crie um efeito borboleta (ou seja alterações no futuro e sim é muito semelhante ao filme de mesmo nome – só o primeiro que realmente é bom). Os acontecimentos se passam na cidade fictícia de Arcadia Bay, no estado do Oregon, durante a semana de 7 de outubro de 2013.

    Max acorda de um “Déjà vu” durante a aula de fotografia do seu professor Jefferson, onde ela prevê a chegada de uma grande tempestade, Max então assume a responsabilidade de impedir que sua cidade seja destruída. Contudo fácil seria se objetivo fosse apenas deter a tempestade, pois ainda no primeiro episódio você irá reencontrar uma velha amiga de infância chamada Chloe Price, que no banheiro acaba por ser assassinada pelo garoto rico e que se acha dono de todos, Nathan Prescott. Bom sabendo dos poderes de voltar no tempo, já usados em sala de aula, Max salva Chloe e a história se inicia (não me aprofundarei mais, para não dar tantos spoilers do jogo, uma vez que ele é todo em narrativa e isso estragaria o prazer que ele nos dá).

    As ações do jogador ajustam a narrativa enquanto ela se desenrola (sendo que estas alterações podem ter consequências curtas, médias e longas no decorrer da história, mesmo ela sendo em episódios). Missões secundárias e a realização de mudanças no ambiente se apresentam em formas de quebra-cabeças, seja com uma árvore de diálogos ou organização de objetos presente em ambientes com outros personagens. Outra questão polêmica no jogo que dá seu tom interativo único, mesmo com vários elementos clichês, mas que junto criam sincronia perfeita elementos da história, que retrata a questão de abuso, bullying, assassinato, suicídio, romance e ódio entre adolescentes.

    Logo se prepare para ter acessos de felicidade, tristeza, ódio e paixão, além de nervosismo e ansiedade com esta obra.

    A trilha sonora do jogo é fantástica, mesmo ela sendo destinada a informar sobre o clima e os acontecimentos do jogo, como o próprio diretor criativo da desenvolvedora disse, a trilha sonora composta por Jonathan Morali compõe “50% da experiência em game” então curta ela enquanto estiver jogando Life is Strange, pois fará muita diferença.

    Um detalhe importante que muito se ressalta nas críticas sobre gráficos é o fato de parte da captura de expressões faciais e sincronização de falas, som e imagem terem um leve atraso, mas que nada influencia a jogabilidade ou mecânica do jogo. Por ele ter sido produzido ao longo de muito tempo, correções e melhoramentos são muito percebidos entre os episódios.

    Logo a construção gráfica e até mesmo patchs de correções, que adicionaram, por exemplo, legendas em português e melhor otimização das falas com expressões dos personagens, fazem o jogo ser uma excelente obra que o tempo não interfere na hora de ser jogada.

    A jogabilidade do game é simples, como já parcialmente foi tratada ao dar a premissa do game. Vamos explorar ela mais um pouco sem tentar dar spoilers (o que é difícil), bem o game tem um sistema linear e independente que faz tudo ser interativo, logo o game te força a explorar todas as possibilidades de cada cenário (e você deve fazer isso, uma vez que todas as conquistas do jogo são fotos estratégicas que são necessárias em determinadas partes do jogo), mas sem grandes dificuldades.

    Life is Strange nos dias atuais desta resenha (2018) está relativamente bem acessível, originalmente seu preço atual na mídia digital varia dos 8,00 reais a 45,00 reais. Bom, se o preço estiver alto espere uma boa promoção e adquira, pois vale muito a pena este game. Contudo se você quiser comprar uma mídia física bom se prepare para desembolsar 80 a 120 reais e nesta faixa de preço o jogo não fica tão atrativo, uma vez que ele leva no máximo 15 horas para ser concluído.

    Chegamos agora na conclusão, Life is Strange é um jogo excelente, original e que te faz ficar bem imerso na história, tem uma boa duração, mesmo para um indie. Sua gameplay é fluente e a história não se arrasta, mesmo que 99% do game seja em diálogos. A história é complexa e bem amarrada, mesmo você tomando as decisões. Seu custo benefício nos dias de hoje, para mídias digitais é ótimo.    … Expand

    This game is definitely one of my favourites. It is a game that plays like a well written book with a butterfly effect-esk theme. That being said this game is an emotional roller coaster with numerous decisions one must make that affect the game down the road. The original soundtrack and score for Life Is Strange is fantastic and is one of my favourite parts of this game. All in all, if you are looking for a story driven adventure this is your game. Square Enix did a fantastic job with Life is Strange and I applaud them. If you do choose to buy Life Is Strange, do yourself a favour and but the season pass, otherwise your paying for an incomplete game.… Expand

    I was late to the show for this narrative driven game. I wish i had been on board from the start. But after playing through the heart wrenching story of Max and Chloe and their time bending adventures all I can say is wow. This at the time i played it jumped into my top 5 games of all time played.     10/10. This game has a story that hooks you and makes you feel every emotion. The sound track is also outstanding. Many of the songs from the game are now added to my Spotify favorites. This is one of my favorite story telling games of all time with each decision actually having an impact in the world.

Ils l'ont déjà démontré avec Remember Me le jeu à oublier aussi sec et ils le démontrent encore avec Life is strange qui reprend le même principe foireux de remontage du temps. Il paraît que cela vous donne le choix, mais en vérité, le choix est illusoire dans ce jeu d'aventure-couloir.

    Les deux midinettes sont niaises à s'ouvrir les veines, le tout dans le contexte pathétique du campus à l'américaine, à gerber. Quand, de surcroît, ce jeu minable tente de singer Twin Peaks, alors on s'indigne puis on rigole devant tant de prétention. En outre, pour un jeu français, on n'y parle que le yankee marshmallow !

    Le seul point positif concerne les graphismes moins immondes que d'habitude (pour un indé à la mords-moi-le-noeud) mais franchement, nous aussi, on aimerait remonter le temps pour éviter de jouer à cet étron merde in France.    … Expand

    Thanks to DONTNOD for making a wonderful experience. The game I most connected to by far. Beautiful and Devastating is what it is Life is Strange.

That's exactly what Life is Strange does and it does it predominantly by its storyline. The gameplay mechanics aren't going to win any awards - its straight forward point and click and exhaust the available options. The story takes many unexpected twists and each episode ends with a cliffhanger to keep you coming back for more. And last but not least, the indie soundtrack of the game is amazing and does such a brilliant job at setting the tone and location and mood. The sunset sunrise lighting and slow moments where you can just sit and appreciate the atmosphere makes this game a true gem. A must play for all casual gamers and story lovers.… Expand

    This was quite honestly amazing and powerful. It had a strong female roll to boot, told an amazing story, incorporated super powers without making the main character feel cheap, or like a god among human, but just rather an extraordinary human. The choices and characters were built in such a way I felt for them. This is an A+ game, episodic or not.

    Bravo, this has been a wonderful experience from start to finish. The atmosphere if the game is so incredibly well done and peaceful, thanks to the soft, colorful graphics, amazing characters and fantastic music.

    The characters and the environment are done very realistic with a lot of attention to detail. Especially the animations are outstanding and believable. The school setting was so well done that I had nostalgia from my school days a while back. All the characters are unique and in their own way likeable.
    Just slowly playing the game while exploring the world is very relaxing end enjoyable.
    The game never really felt like work or bothersome. I went through all episodes in a few days without playing anything else.
    I love that the environment and situations you know from real life, but rarely experience in a game.
    After playing the game through it is very enjoyable to watch other playthroughs on youtube and see their reactions.
    I am really looking forward to a sequel.    … Expand

    What an incredible experience! Point and click adventure games as some of my favorite, and this one rivals some of the best that I've played. Story is unique and very enjoyable, as it progresses very nicely from episode to episode, becoming more and more dense and intense. Characters are well developed and time-warping ability is smartly used.

    Honestly I bought the game back then without knowing anything about it and was quite surprised it was merely more than a better Telltale game, but while Telltale's games are a buggy mess with really outdated graphics and horrible subtitles for non english speakers, Life is Strange worked like a charm and made everything just better than Telltale ever did. Voy a resumir un poco lo que encontraran en este fantástico videojuego: primero la historia es simplemente genial, utiliza la premisa del control del tiempo de una manera muy acertada que permite al jugador pensar en "que tal si" paraQue gran videojuego aunque tiene su estilo particular, así que iré directo al grano si eres fan de los juegos de Telltale Games ve a comprarlo directamente. Voy a resumir un poco lo que encontraran en este fantástico videojuego: primero la historia es simplemente genial, utiliza la premisa del control del tiempo de una manera muy acertada que permite al jugador pensar en "que tal si" para poder hacer varias decisiones durante el juego y segundo el diseño artístico es simplemente hermoso los escenarios, personajes, los datos u archivos que se encuentran a lo largo del juego añaden el complemento perfecto para Life is Strange. Ahora bien quizás estén pensando ¿porque no un 10? como sabrán para un fanboy de un estilo específico de juegos siempre las notas serán altas, en este caso se podría decir que lo soy pero tengo que dejar claro que este es un tipo muy particular de "videojuego" para las les personas que no gustan de este tipo de juegos sabrán de lo que estoy hablando. La polémica entre videojuego como tal y película es un tema aparte, la crítica directa que hago al videojuego es simplemente que se puede mejorar el motor gráfico como por ejemplo para una posible secuela utilizar el Unreal Engine 4, y porque no labrar otra historia igual o mejor que la actual.… Expand

    One of the most unique games I've played. Fascinating and affecting with an amazing soundtrack and at times a soporific pace that really chilled me right out.

    Definitely worth trying and definitely worth sticking through to the end. Loved it.

    Amazing story throughout. The relationship between Max and Chloe is tested when obstacles are thrown their way. Very emotional scenes in each episode make it hard to decide various choices that may have consequences. Some characters in the game are explored more than others and some characters are rather cliche. The plot of the story does get confusing at times especially in the secondAmazing story throughout. The relationship between Max and Chloe is tested when obstacles are thrown their way. Very emotional scenes in each episode make it hard to decide various choices that may have consequences. Some characters in the game are explored more than others and some characters are rather cliche. The plot of the story does get confusing at times especially in the second half. The visuals are great aside from a few early glitches. I had a roller coaster of a ride and I hope to see another season in the not too distant future. Overall, an emotional story with highs and lows keep you on edge right until the end but it gets confusing trying to think too hard about it.… Expand

The joy in this one is learning about all these varied characters. It is encouraged that you always look around at everything and talk to everybody - you never know what you might find!

    You feel like you’ve accomplished everything in each episode.. none felt filler
    You do play as a high school senior, and the game does a great job of feeling like you’re a high school girl, dealing with bullies, dealing with students having crushes on you, balancing friendships… and dealing with some pretty heavy emotional situations you’d expect from a bunch of high school kids
    if you have a heart, you will cry playing this game, multiple times…
    Where things get interesting is the rewind ability…
    This is still an adventure game but not a nonsense adventure game…
    it’s pretty easy knowing what to do in a situation, though one puzzle in a later episodes gets a little too complicated and slows the game down a bit…
    But puzzles are found both in the environment and in dialog…
    As you have to make sure you don’t say the wrong thing to someone while trying to get information out of them that you need…
    or if you don’t like a reaction they had, you can rewind time and try something else…
    As well as outcomes of a few important situations.. The game will indicate that a choice you made will have consequences and you can decide to deal with those consequences or go for a different outcome and deal with tem... but by time you learn what these consequences are, its too late to go back and change... so while I was worried at first.. This makes your decisions and choices still matter in the game…
    much like the telltale games, I wasn’t a fan of the sections that I had to walk around and interact with items in the environment…
    Most did add to the story…
    But a few did annoy and frustrate me and felt like they were there to just drag the game out
    10 hours of pure story though... definitely does get exhausting…
    so this isn’t really a finish in one sitting kind of game.. especially with the at times poor pacing…
    but the story telling here is so good that even if you do get tired you want to keep pushing to see what’s behind the next corner and what twist the game is going to throw at you next…
    People have been recommending this game to me since it came out, and I’m glad I finally got around to experiencing it
    The gameplay isn’t the best, but the powerful story telling makes Life is Strange a must experience game…

    "Aventura gráfica", o juego estilo David Cage, correcto. La historia no es mala pero para mi gusto es demasiada Americana, con unos estereotipos muy marcados en los personajes. Por suerte, a dia de hoy, ya disponemos de los subtitulos al castellano/español.
    El diseño artistico del juego basandose en pinturas de aquarela es muy llamativo y tapa las carencias graficas del titulo.

    However, the graphics are a little drab, but this doesn't mean that the game suffers from it. The writing can be a little cheesy at times and will make you, as I Hate Everything would say 'grimace.'

    La dinamica del juego de dar la posibilidad de tener una relevancia dentro de la trama y no ser un juego lineal es lo que le da un aire fresco a este tipo de juegos, en mi esperencia personal es destruir o no Arcadia Bay hace que cada decision se tome con sabiduria, aunque siempre esta la posibilidad de rebobinar y tomar otra decision.

    This is a very good game. 9/10. I love the storyline, and it really hits you a few times with the choices you make. This game will make you stop and think. Definitely worth a play, and really keep captured into the story. Don't rush through it.

    Very nice game given you like the genre, which we may call a "light point'n'click". This is clearly not the most beautiful graphics of the generation but the goal is not here, the game manage to involve you into this small world and its basically human story. The score could have been higher with a better balance between the episodes. Otherwise, good game to play, still in 2020.

After playing through the game multiple times now, I wish I had known about this game sooner as it's become one of my favourite games of the 2010s.

    The story follows Max Caulfield, a shy, introverted photography student who returns to her hometown of Arcadia Bay after having lived in Seattle for the past 5 years. After having a premonition/daydream of a deadly tornado bearing down on the town, she discovers she has time rewinding capabilities when she saves a mysterious blue-haired girl from being shot in the Girl's bathroom by Nathan Prescott; son of the richest man in Arcadia Bay, Sean Prescott. After escaping a confrontation with Nathan in the school parking lot, Max runs into the blue-haired girl again only to discover that it's her longtime best friend Chloe Price. As they drive away from Blackwell, Chloe expresses resentment towards Max after she moved away to Seattle and didn't talk to her for 5 years. They get back to Chloe's place and Max learns more about the girl on the missing persons poster Rachel Amber: The DA's daughter and Chloe's best friend after Max left for Seattle. Max learns that Chloe and Rachel had plans to leave Arcadia Bay to head for Los Angeles when one day, Rachel disappeared without a trace, leaving Chloe heartbroken and abandoned yet again. From there, Max and Chloe work together to uncover the mystery behind Rachel Amber's disappearance by gathering clues, evidence and unearthing Arcadia Bay's dirty secrets.

    I'll park the bus here in terms of explaining the game's plot because ultimately, I'm going to recommend you play this game; you truly need to experience it for yourself.

    The strong character focus and relationship development for Max and Chloe is what really stood out to me about this game. Despite some justifiable hard feelings from Chloe in the early stages of the game, watching the two of them rekindle their friendship from when they were kids is a truly heart warming to experience and definitely makes you feel something for the two of them. To watch Max's character evolve from this rather meek and shy student to this bold, brave and fierce "Everyday Hero" is something to really root for as well as being a driving force behind the game's story. Conversely, to watch Chloe go from a rebellious punk with a tough, hardened exterior, to a softened, caring and more vulnerable character made some emotions spark off my otherwise cold, black heart.

    The core gameplay loop revolves around interacting with NPCs via dialogue trees, Max's time rewind ability and finding clues for their investigation into the disappearance of Rachel Amber. Max's rewind ability allows her to change her response to a question or undo an action after seeing what sort of consequences it might beget. Her rewind also allows her to steal items surreptitiously that are a key part of their investigation since items in Max's inventory stay with her and aren't affected by her rewind powers.

    Graphically, the game is a bit of a mixed bag. The overall presentation of some of the game's set pieces such as Blackwell Academy and the Pacific Northwest coast line are satisfactory, but the game also suffers from "Mass Effect Andromeda Syndrome" where the characters' facial animations look really "wooden" and stiff. As such they don't seem to be able to emote a whole lot unless they're crying. Some of the lip-syncing is downright brutal and further contributes to the "wooden" facial animations. Some of the dialogue, particularly the use of "slang" that gets used seem misplaced and cringeworthy to the point of immersion breaking for me. I wouldn't say any of these things are deal breakers since the game does plenty of other things right and is an overall net positive experience, but I'd be remiss if I didn't flag any of them.

    My biggest gripe with the game is it's ending. The game starts out kind of slowly but builds to a pretty serious crescendo. While the final interaction between Max and Chloe is definitely memorable and gut wrenching, it more or less boils down 5 episodes and roughly 10 to 15 hours of gameplay into a binary "this or that" choice, rendering all of your previous choices largely immaterial. Fix the ending and Life is Strange becomes a borderline dream game for me.

    It starts off strong, first two episods might approach a strong 8 or 9. Unfortunately, it is plagued with highschool-drama-level writing that drags down what would otherwise be a very mature and impactful story. There are fun parts, but they became scarce towards the end.

    Giving this game anything less than a 10 should be criminal. this game is simply a masterpiece... graphics aside the art style is perfect and really sets a nice indie vibe. As for the story, there’s nothing that hasn’t been said, but obviously it is gripping and impactful, 11/10 game!!

    Life is Strange is truly amazing. There are times you can relate and there are times you wan to just rip your own heart out, but don't worry. No need to rip out your own heart since this games does it for you LOL.

    Loved loved loved this game one of the best story games I’ve played and enjoy the fact you can choose what you want to do and have different endings. Challenge quests are not too difficult but at the end can be confusing.

    One of the best story driven games I have ever played in my life.

    Although there are some supernatural elements in it, the story and the characters feel real. It hooks you in and it does not let you go. There isn't much more left to say, you need to play it to understand it.

    What could I have done differently? Even with the option to rewind time, it is a question you will often ask yourself when playing Life is Strange. A unique story that asks of you to make big decisions, just to blow you away with the consequences.
