    Brave New World is an excellent continuation of Chloe and Rachel's backstory. The various chapters in the episode are genuinely fun to play through, and they give you more insight into Rachel through Chloe's eyes. It's too bad that there are only three episodes of their backstory!

    Life is Strange: Before the Storm Episode 2 does a fantastic job at building off of the foundation that Episode 1 set. This episode had some fantastic moments of storytelling, and at the end of the episode, it keeps you wanting more Life is Strange. Chloe and Rachel also have phenomenal chemistry. This shines in this episode. This was a fantastic episode and I recommend it to anyone whoLife is Strange: Before the Storm Episode 2 does a fantastic job at building off of the foundation that Episode 1 set.     Wow, this franchise went downhill fast. I played LiS BtS episode 1 and figured I'd give them a pass (everyone fumbles from time to time), but this episode confirms it. First they got rid of the number 1 concept that made the original so cool: time manipulation. Then they got rid of the excellent music. What you are left with is a hollowed out teen drama. There is nothing special about thisWow, this franchise went downhill fast. There is nothing special about this game. They should drop the "Strange" because that's just what it is, "Life". I will give them graphics, there was a solid jump in that department, but given everything else this game is a huge step down. In fact, I'm being generous with a 5. If it wasn't for the originals momentum I'd say it's closer to a 3 or 4. There are 5 whole minutes you spend fixing up the interior of a broken down truck. Who thought that would be fun?… Expand

    Episode 2 is definitely not as good as the first episode of Deck Nine's prequel series. All the positives I listed from the first episode remain but the story and gameplay are just a little less interesting than the previous episode, with odd pacing too. The plot just doesn't seem very focused and doesn't keep you engaged or have a through-line like in the original game. The development ofEpisode 2 is definitely not as good as the first episode of Deck Nine's prequel series.     The second episode of Life is Strange Before the Storm doesn't quite live up to the expectations set by the success of the first episode. The ending manages to save the day but does put pressure on Dontnod to make the finale worthwhile.

    The second and penultimate episode of Life Is Strange: Before The Storm heats things up in more ways than one. Not only is the Bay on fire, but Chloe's life also seemingly goes up in flames at both home and school, and her relationship with Rachel is definitely increasing in temperature. All of this happens at such a pace that unfortunately some things aren't given the air time that they deserve and there's a chance that five episodes may have been a better idea than three. Despite this, we're getting to see the characters develop in a believable manner, and when player decisions start to take effect, it truly feels like it's becoming your story as much as it is Chloe's. With the addition of the relevation on which the episode ends, you would be forgiven for wanting to rush headlong into the next episode to see the conclusion to this tale.

    The standard of this second episode feels like a traditional Act Two. It’s not quite as good as the first, and is hopefully sitting here just to bridge the gap that is leading to an exciting final third.
