    Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Don't Dry is Crazy Bunch Studio’s revival of this beloved adult themed adventure series. There's many callbacks to yesteryear of cartoony stylized adventures. It’s out there; cynical, blunt and crude. A Leisure Suit Larry game wouldn't be complete without these traits. This time around, Larry is a fish out of water in the digital age, waking up in a strange lab, decades after his last big ordeal. He immediately gets involved in the on-line dating world after making a profile on the Timber app. For reasons only his libido is aware of, he needs to lure the assistant of Bill Jobs, CEO of tech company Prune. First off if you're easily offended well than, this is not the game for you. The humor is a grotesque caricature of masculinity; a nasally-sounding, slimy, that’s as incompetent as he is lucky. Almost every dialogue set has a joke that a teenager might try to make his friends laugh with. The writers know their audience well and you can't even start the game without answering retro questions to prove your age to begin. It was always going to be a dicey proposition bringing back a series synonymous with video game based low taste sexual humor, starring you (or Larry) a womanizing sleaze-bag straight out of a time best forgotten. Thankfully Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Don’t Dry manages to balance a tone that’s true to it's roots. The fun poked at social media, online dating, and trends would have felt outdated upon the game’s original release although this isn't the 1st of the series to make it to an Xbox console. A lot of the over the top jokes did raise a smile from me. The story is just enough, centering on a tech company and taking shots at shady game development habits. The game looks and sounds great, with gorgeous hand-drawn artwork and fantastic voice acting. The characters are like-able enough. Overall, this is an adult enjoyable entry in a very niche genre of gaming. Definitely worth picking up for fans of the classic series.… Expand

    What a laugh omg this is adult humor at its best great moments funny looking things references that mean otherwise but overall this is a great game restricted to kids this not a kids story at all

    The only problem with the Xbox version of Wet Dreams Don’t Dry is some technical issues, which are quite easy to ignore because the game is really good. It makes fun of itself, other adventure games, genre clichés, the past, the present, the developers, the player – and it usually hits the mark. What’s more, it can be surprisingly refined for a title which doesn’t shy away from penis jokes. [12/2020, p.51]

    The new adventure of the legend Larry Laffer comes to Xbox. For the veteran gamers, those remember the first games, it is an excellent point and click graphic adventure. Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams don't Dry is a merciless satire of 21st century and the today's technologic culture. It's not for everyone, and it comes very late, but always is a pleasure to meet Larry Laffer.

    Ultimately, Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Don't Die on Xbox One has put me in a bit of a sticky situation. The game itself is stuffed with appealing elements, but the technical issues and high asking price currently hold it back from being a definite recommend. There is a ton for fans of the series and newcomers to enjoy, but like Larry himself, it's not for everyone.
