    Legrand Legacy: Tale Of The Fatebounds didn't quite have me knowing what to expect when I began playing, but I quickly found myself enjoying the experience overall. The game rehashes JRPG staples with its own twists and turns, such as the amnesiac protagonist trope to explain detailing out the lore of the world as an example. The tutorials detail out mechanics, but don't tell the playerLegrand Legacy: Tale Of The Fatebounds didn't quite have me knowing what to expect when I began playing, but I quickly found myself enjoying the experience overall. The game rehashes JRPG staples with its own twists and turns, such as the amnesiac protagonist trope to explain detailing out the lore of the world as an example. The tutorials detail out mechanics, but don't tell the player exactly how much they control the experience play, which leaves out the hands-down best part of the game; stats points and the Grimoires. At the beginning /first timer as I was going through, I was under the impression that the grimoires had to be followed to the number, that the stat requirements for spells were the best ones for characters to have. I was wrong. As I progressed on my play through one every level up of the Finn I placed at least one point into Vitality, and he quickly became the white the tank of my party and stayed true until the end of the game. The amount of times the sheer bulk of the character, which according to the Grimoire should have been a fairly balanced between Strength, Vitality, and Agility, saved me from a full death accent be underestimated, Outside of the silly things I do in my free time with Character Customizers, I enjoyed the atmosphere of the game that struck the chord of apocalyptic fantasy, with countries always seeming to be at war, in poverty, suffering some natural or unnatural disaster, or some unholy combination of all four. The characters that populate these torn-up cities and towns all seem to be barely coping on their own mostly, with barely an ounce of thought put towards the seeming fool-hardy band of adventurers trying to bring peace to the world.vThe cynicism that the world approaches you, as the player, with is much more realistic than the worship that some games seem to heap upon the Player. Overall quite an enjoyable JRPG for your Xbox One library to add in for fans of the genre for sure.… Expand

    Overall, Legrand Legacy is a decent game. It’s never overly difficult and the look and feel of it really does come off like a classic JRPG from yesteryear, for better or for worse. It works, and even if it does get tiresome in spots, the story and lore are engaging enough to keep RPG fans afloat, but keep in mind, you’re going to have to change your mind set a bit before taking this one on. If you can turn your brain back a few years to the early 2000’s you may find yourself an enjoyable RPG.

    As a whole, this is a disjointed RPG adventure with all of its parts struggling to be held together, ultimately coming across as an upscaled mobile RPG finding it difficult to perform on Xbox One.
