    Lair Of The Clockwork God is a fast-paced Point-and-Click adventure and an indie platfomer in one! Join adventurer Ben and wannabe indie darling Dan in a race against time to stop all the Apocalypses happening at the same time. Half point and click, half platform, completely funny. It took me about 12 hours to complete Lair of the Clockwork God and I feel completely satisfied by thisLair Of The Clockwork God is a fast-paced Point-and-Click adventure and an indie platfomer in one! It took me about 12 hours to complete Lair of the Clockwork God and I feel completely satisfied by this little indie game. Puzzles are mostly surreal and hilarious, just like the ones from the LucasArts era, the platform sections are ok (I'm not a huge fan, tho, I mostly wanted to play for the adventure stuff), but the game completely works as a whole. If you already played "Ben there, Dan that" and "Time, gentlemen, Please" you know what to expect in terms of writing, if not: a witty, funny, crazy, hilarious story, as you probably didn't see in a while. Maybe a little bit patronizing at the end, but overall a FANTASTIC GAME worth the price of admission to enjoy on your Xbox One.… Expand

    On paper, Lair of the Clockwork God shouldn’t work. Blending point-and-click with an indie platformer just shouldn’t work; but it does, and brilliantly, thanks to the amazing writing and dialogue that had me constantly chuckling or outright laughing. While it’s a satire on the genres, it also executes them near perfectly, and simultaneously. I legit had a wonderful time with my adventure alongside Ben and Dan and haven’t laughed this much at a game in quite some time. Two games in one; half point-and-click, half platformer, all hilarious.

    Lair of the Clockwork God is funny and one of a kind, but it’s also far from perfect. It’s let down somewhat by its random bugs and lack of polish, but if you can look past them, there’s fun to be had here. Dan and Ben continue to be wonderful protagonists – but the mixture of platforming and point-and-click adventuring isn’t going to be for everyone. Like Marmite, you’ll either love it or you’ll hate it.

    You could experience fits of laughter, you may even shed a small tear, but most importantly you’ll have an adventure like no other with Lair of the Clockwork God.
