    Travelling back in time through the completely delirious universe of Kraken Academy!! is not unpleasant despite its lack of striking resolutions, especially as the humorous dimension fits adequately. The investigation to discover The Perfidious’ identity is gripping, but the way to wrap it up is kind of repetitive. We would have appreciated more variety in the mini-games, as well as a real use of the Kraken-net social network to find clues for an added layer of substance. Without being transcendent, the side quests contribute to the title’s already crazy background, but they’re still too shallow to bring a real added value to the scenario. Kraken Academy!! thus graduates with honours. Teacher’s comment: “Kraken Academy!! is a studious but somewhat dissipated student, be careful not to rest too much on your laurels!"

    You might think from the score that I dislike Kraken Academy. I don't, and it's not a bad game. It's like a children's 2D pixel art versionYou might think from the score that I dislike Kraken Academy. I don't, and it's not a bad game. It's like a children's 2D pixel art version of Deathloop, where you repeat the same 3 days to complete quests and manipulate outcomes. I didn't encounter any bugs, and it has a quirky sense of humor.

    Other than the puzzle-solving elements of finding items for the right people, the gameplay consists of QTE events and minigames which I didn't find engaging. The writing didn't work for me. It's very whacky, and I don't give points for whackiness.

    There's nothing really wrong with Kraken Academy, but it feels like more of a chore than a game, and there are thousands of other games that you could be playing instead.    … Full Review »

Humor sucks, every joke is explained twice and overall the game treats the gamer as an idiot.

    3/10 is a good score because collecting bottles is pretty relaxing. Get a new artistic designer people, the proportions are way out of bounds. Horrible, horrible designs    … Full Review »
