    Initial 2 : New Stage is a fast paced Action Hack and Slash Adventure. Burdened with the most dangerous missions, 3 Philosophia Academy Soldiers venture into the territory of their decade-long enemy, Scientia Empire to bring an end to the war, and reveal the mysterious secret hidden by both sides for decades. You play as the Captain of Trio9, a squad with 2 other Iudex Soldiers that fightInitial 2 : New Stage is a fast paced Action Hack and Slash Adventure. Burdened with the most dangerous missions, 3 Philosophia Academy Soldiers venture into the territory of their decade-long enemy, Scientia Empire to bring an end to the war, and reveal the mysterious secret hidden by both sides for decades. You play as the Captain of Trio9, a squad with 2 other Iudex Soldiers that fight by your side. The game controls the 2 AI teammates to help you in combat, if they're downed you can pick them back up. As you progress you will end up with 4 different weapons, that you can nearly seamlessly change between in combat. You will also pick up an arsenal of special moves, tied to these different weapons. You can only equip 4 skils, so chose wisely. There are a ton of high paced combos with each weapon, some with quite gratifying endings. The game has full audio, Voiced in both Japanese and English, though the subtitles are sometimes hard to follow with the Japanese dialogue on. With 10 sizable Chapters, and more Boss Battles than stages, you get to hack your way through dozens of soldiers, and replicants in smooth high speed open combat.     This is the type of game missing from the Xbox Library, and it a shame there dose not seem to be any sign of a physical release as this is the type of game many love to have on their shelf.
    Its an excellent OG back to basins hack and slash title , filled with beautiful woman that are often missing in modern games as it upsets soy drinking men that fear the attractive female. But the average red blooded man, with a healthy hetro set drive will find it a treat to play and watch..Not a game for Limp willy cuck boys, basically, they would break their thumbs on twitter..

    Controls are tight and responsive and has a Nier?DMC feel to them with satifying attacks and special moves.
    Graphics are basic but serviceable as you are always able to tell what is happening in the battle and are able to react.
    Sound is great, Japanese is definently the language you want for this game.    … Expand

    All in all, Initial 2: New Stage is an intriguing title. Although it’s technically more than rough around the edges and the localization is a hot mess, the game is not just a knockoff of similar, bigger titles. There’s honesty in how Restory Studio has wanted to a make a cool, Japanese-like hack and slash action with a meaningful narrative to complement the gameplay. The story might be naïve when it stresses friendship that reaches over hostile boundaries but we really need something like that in our dreadful world, don’t we? To fully appreciate Initial 2, you will need a certain state of mind and shouldn’t care about finer technicalities. Don’t look too much into the overall score, either, as Initial 2 is one of best gaming experiences I have had this year.

    Initial II: New Stage sports an entertaining and compelling combat system, but unluckily it gets dragged down by too many poorly developed elements like the repetitive and overly linear structure, a bad technical production, lack of polish and a poor english localization.
