The story is once again wacky and interesting and in the end it serves as a good prequel to the previous story that was present in the previous game. While the presentation side of the game lacks in terms polish in some areas I once again enjoyed what both the visuals and sound design delivered to me. Each puzzle feels important and fits in with the story very well and I never really got frustrated with any of the puzzles in the game either. When played for long periods the game does get repetetive somewhat quickly because the gameplay doesn’t have much depth to it. The game suffers with a few issues every now and then that hinders your overall experience. Unfortunately this doesn’t make the series stand out any more and it basically plays out exactly like the first game. There isn’t a great deal of content for you to sink your teeth into and the content that is here doesn’t have much variety.
I found the difficulty curve to be a problem at times which did reduce the fun overall fun factor some.found myself disappointed with last year’s Hello Neighbor. It just had too many problems and the things it got right were very few and far between which ultimately meant that they didn’t save the game. As you can imagine then I went into playing Hello Neighbor: Hide & Seek with low expectations, and I’m glad that I did. Unfortunately the new game in the series features a lot of problems as well and whilst it once again throws up a decent story I couldn’t enjoy it as much as I would’ve liked thanks to the shortcomings present in the game. After the first few minutes you’ve basically seen all of the depth that the gameplay has already and despite a few interesting puzzles here and there the lack of content and repetetiveness is quite evident. You also have to deal with a few issues during your time with the game as well and when you combine that with the up and down difficulty curve the fun the game delivers to you disappears quite quickly. At the end of the day then I’m once again disappointed with what this series has delivered and even though there are a few bright moments here and there I can’t recommend Hello Neighbor: Hide & Seek to you because once again it’s a let down. Wait to pick it up on sale for a play, or buy it now if you're a fan of the 1st game.

Wow just wow, £25?!?!?! I'm glad I got this for free because this is just ridiculous. What happened TIny Build? Why have you published this?

I went in with an open mind, Hello Neighbor was a bit bad but it had it's perks, THIS? What even is THIS? It's literally Fill a basket up with animals with literally no explanation. I don't think i can manage running around a terribily put together

I went in with an open mind, Hello Neighbor was a bit bad but it had it's perks, THIS? What even is THIS? It's literally Fill a basket up with animals with literally no explanation. I don't think i can manage running around a terribily put together map that has no meaning at all, it's literally just random Garbage.

I HAVE TO FILL THIS THING UP WITH LIKE 12 ANIMALS, FUN!

Imagine In Narnia if the kid just randomly found himself in there and just didn't give a single **** just went in there and started collecting stuffed animals for no reason.

" Experience playing a game of hide-and-seek with your brother as you both deal with a loss of a family member" What?!?! This has nothing to do with playing Hide and Seek, the kid walks back and forth until he sees you, then chases you who also somehow loses sight of you when he's directly behind you and you get inside of a bush, he then proceeds to WIPE HIS ASS on the floor multiple times.

I'll update this review If I don't die from pure boredom.

And a good game, in itself the main campaign I would give a note ... kind of ... low, plus the Hide and Seek? And really a total reinvigoration of the game, if this was the main game and the main one was a DLC I would understand more about the game.

Even though I said Hello Neighbor is a very good game, but after the release of Hide and Seek, I realized that it is much better than the original game. If we compare them, we can understand that Hide and Seek visually looks better, though it is slightly monotonous. holy hell, stop making more hello neighbor games and just stick to polishing one. ok, this one isn't as bad as the rest, the storytelling is pretty good. but it feels barely playtested and doesn't feel polished, as to be expected with a hello neighbor game. the fact that this AND secret neighbor came out before the original game was done is what makes me not want to buy hello neighbor 2,holy hell, stop making more hello neighbor games and just stick to polishing one. ok, this one isn't as bad as the rest, the storytelling is pretty good. but it feels barely playtested and doesn't feel polished, as to be expected with a hello neighbor game. the fact that this AND secret neighbor came out before the original game was done is what makes me not want to buy hello neighbor 2, please for the love of god tinybuild, stop! Sloppy controls, an aimless direction, and atrocious level design hinders Dynamic Pixel's newest entry in the Hello Neighbor series from reaching the potential that many believe it has. While a whimsical art style and great performance across a variety of performance are great to see, Hide & Seek results in a forgettable and frustrating experience overall.

Should you be a fan of the original game and were hoping for more of the same, then chances are you’ll be disappointed with what is on offer in Hello Neighbor: Hide and Seek. Sure, there are some story moments to take note of, but with very little definition to what the developers are trying to achieve, and with each stage marred with confusion as you try to figure out what’s going on, this prequel raises more questions than answers.

Dynamic Pixel have crafted a eye pleasing game, with great art style perfect for those who like games that mostly reward ability.
