Jul 29, 2022If obscene and dark humor is your thing and you have the urge to play a 3D platformer, look no further than Hell Pie. Hell Pie does 3D platforming well which is something I think is hard to do. It has unique techniques to make the gameplay enjoyable and satisfying for pulling off complex combos and saves. Definitely check it out if the humor is not off-putting.

Aug 12, 2022Hell Pie is a great experience for those who enjoy 3D platform games. It has some things that are not for everyone like its crude humor or that much of the game's design is based on getting collectibles to make you better and more powerful, but in its 8-12 hours of gameplay, Hell Pie manages to be a pretty decent game and in some aspects quite special. Its flaws take their toll, but the final experience is quite good.

Aug 5, 2022Despite its more limited resources compared to other big productions of the genre, Hell Pie plays its cards right and is a declaration of love to 3D platform games. Sluggerfly injects a raw, irreverent, blasphemous and rebellious personality to its title with a good dose of bawdy humour typical of a half-witted teenager. However, the devil is in the details and the studio brilliantly fulfils its promise of reconciling "silly entertainment and meaningful art". Even though it is a bit short and lacks some ingredients, it remains a successful recipe best reserved for a discerning audience.
