    If you’re after a good challenge, Hayfever may be up your alley. While the early stages show off it’s unique concept well, unfortunately, the sharp difficulty curve soon brings more frustration than fun.

    Hayfever on Xbox One has the looks of a solid platformer but is a completely misjudged experience. The control system makes the game borderline unplayable, the sound design wears thin extremely fast, and irritating glitches have the potential to prevent progress. Much like actual hayfever, it’s disorienting, frustrating and downright annoying.

    Hayfever - This quirky 2D platformer is is both amusing and fustrating at the same time. You play as a Postman (Sadly not Pat, however thereHayfever - This quirky 2D platformer is is both amusing and fustrating at the same time. You play as a Postman (Sadly not Pat, however there are cats along the way). As you play through collecting the lost letters using the annoying and inconvient tools at your disposal (your allergies) you start to feel sorry for poor Thomas The Postie, who is seemingly allergic to everything, as you push him through clouds of allergens to power up your sneezes to make a high jump to a bridge or a hard to reach letter. Overall this game is fun and easy to sink some hours into, with pleasing graphics and a easy to navigate UI this will cater to any age group. However I did find the controls slightly awkward and felt using the stick for some parts left you at a disadvantage due to the need for an exact direction and had to switch between the D-Pad and Stick. Once you get the hang of it then it's not all bad and the gameplay makes up for this slight annoyance.… Full Review »
