    Guntastic on Xbox is a well-designed, fun little game, if only for a limited time. However, its hampered replayability along with a lack of depth, put up against a not insignificant price tag, makes it difficult to recommend.

    Guntastic is a fun battle game with an affinity with speed so things don’t get old too quickly. The rounds are fast, the action is faster and if you find friends to play with I am sure it will be highly competitive. Some may not enjoy the fact it largely favours luck over skill but I think that brings a little bit of balance to the non-hardcore gamers to give them a fighting chance. But battle games do usually suffer from a short lifespan, so unless it can keep its online play thriving, which may prove difficult, it may not last long in gamers minds.

Explode your family and friends in this frantic homage to the 16bit coin-op retro bliss. Expect Fast-paced, One-shot One-kill style Combat in your face at all times. You can choose from a vast arsenal of weapons and power-ups to wreak havoc and devastate your competitors with. It’s nice that they made the game easy to learn, but really hard to master the gameplay once you experience it you will understand what I mean. Although the basics are easy to pickup, Guntastic offers deeper than first glance gameplay and with 4 player local play (which most never use) thankfully included online which is definitely where some great titles (especially indie) fail in today’s saturated gaming market. With the multiplayer options you can challenge up to three friends in local couch games or compete against friends or people from around the world in online multiplayer matches. I truly appreciate all things retro and over-the-top visuals and soundtrack tick the boxes here as well. Everything in the game is reminiscent of the retro era, and reeks for the video game and movie classics of the past. Hand crafted, dynamic levels on hand for you to experience while use of this very environment to your advantage snd most levels feature dynamic elements that create spectacular ways to frag your opponents. Guntastic is an easy recommendation to add to your ever expanding Xbox library especially considering its gentle price point that allows you to have plenty of fun without breaking your bank.… Full Review »
