    Guard Duty is a Pixel Art Point-and-Click adventure. Guard Duty's Story takes you on two seemingly unconnected stories over the furthest ends of time, from Medieval times to the distant future. You start your game, and play the majority of it, as Tondbert the witless but well to do guardsman. Traveling the lands of Wrinklewood on the most cliche of adventures, Save the Princess from anGuard Duty is a Pixel Art Point-and-Click adventure. Guard Duty's Story takes you on two seemingly unconnected stories over the furthest ends of time, from Medieval times to the distant future. You start your game, and play the majority of it, as Tondbert the witless but well to do guardsman. Traveling the lands of Wrinklewood on the most cliche of adventures, Save the Princess from an Evil Wizzard. Filled with quirky comments and vivid characters, Tondberts adventure is the classic Point-and-click gameplay filled with puzzles and fetch quests. Then the Gears shift to Starborn, in the distant future, where you fight for the resistance against the Regime of an Evil Wizzard. The game is held together by its great scripting, though the Starborn segments seem to lack the wit and in-jokes that Tondberts story is oozing with. The walking is dreadful, as it feels like it takes forever to cross a screen, causing travel to feel like a chore or nap time. The game delivers great pixel art compiling the scenery and characters, filling details over every pixel. The puzzles aren't too tough, allowing for veterans of pixel searching and new players alike.     Guard Duty feels like a blast from the past. The way it is set up and executed, it certainly feels like an old point and click adventure that has been ported. That is testament to the work and effort that has been put into the game to capture that experience. I’m sure this will be a pickup for fans of point and click games that like to adventure with a fair challenge.

    If you're after some nicely paced retro adventuring and want to laugh when doing so, then you can't go wrong with some Guard Duty.
