I can't decide what's worse, the framerate or the controls. Either way this thing is unplayable.

Grow Up is a very enjoyable and relaxing platforming game that sees you take control of a small robot called BUD to find the pieces of his broken spaceship. It's an open world game with very little structure that allows you to do whatever you want in any order you want. THE GOOD
    - Gameplay is great albeit somewhat limited, with exploration often being rewarded and upgrades always being useful. It can be slow to start, but once you've picked up the abilities and gathered some crystals, traversing through the world can be fast and the unique environments keep it interesting. As Grow Up is short, you don't have time to get bored of the gameplay despite it's simplicity.
    - Grow Up is easy to pick up and play, in part because of it's loose structure but also because of it's lack of difficulty. Although this can often hurt games, in this case it helps Grow Up by contributing to the relaxed atmosphere created by the game's beautiful world and cute environments
    - It has a great art style, with creative wildlife designs that also help add to the escapism.
    - The game is usually only £7.99 on the Xbox Store so is very cheap (and is currently free with Games with Gold).
    THE BAD
    - You can replicate plants and regrow them at any time, and even though this sounds good, in practice it's quite useless. Lots of the plants serve the same purpose - they are either bouncy, long or blast you up - but the real problem is that you never actually need to use them. There are enough plants around to get you through the game without ever having to plant a thing. I wish there would have been more variety and more demand for this feature.
    - The camera can get in the way at times. However, this was relatively infrequent and shouldn't be too much of a problem.
    THE BORING
    - Challenges are maybe a little too easy and are all very similar. They all involve flying through squares and they quickly get old.
    CONCLUSION
Grow Up is a very relaxing game that lets you take it at your own pace. Gameplay is fun while the game lasts, but I can't see myself going back to finish all the challenges or collecting all the crystals for another upgrade. The world is beautiful and pleasant to be a part of, making the experience worthwhile. If you want a short and fun journey through a well crafted world, pick this up while it's free.

This game invites to player to relax and enjoy. The story is simple and yet it's fun to explore and go higher and higher. The polygon style graphics kind of round the experience up and the controls are good also. One huge drawback for me is the game's length though. It takes roughly 5 hours to finish.

Grow up is a relaxing game, it is target to a more casual audience, but I can definitely say that it had its difficulties. Through patients you will be able to 100 percent this game. It will take some time and a good "Where's Waldo" eye.

By being beautiful, imaginative and fun, Grow Up is nothing short of a mini masterpiece. [Nov 2016, p.82]

Grow Up is a lot more of the same and with little fanfare I feel most have already forgotten the original, let alone know the sequel even exist.
