    Gravity Duck is an unusual game which I personally rather enjoyed. It’s a 2D pixel stylized plat-former in which you play as a duck gifted with the power to control gravity. After being promised riches in exchange for golden eggs, you set off to find those eggs in dozens of gravity-bending levels.
    The gameplay in Gravity Duck isn’t necessarily centered around manipulation of gravity, but    Gravity Duck is an unusual game which I personally rather enjoyed. It’s a 2D pixel stylized plat-former in which you play as a duck gifted with the power to control gravity. After being promised riches in exchange for golden eggs, you set off to find those eggs in dozens of gravity-bending levels.
    The gameplay in Gravity Duck isn’t necessarily centered around manipulation of gravity, but rather how gravity works in such a different way to the way we understand gravity. Your duck can effectively launch himself from solid ground and land on the level’s ceiling or walls, with gravity reversing accordingly. What this means is that you cannot jump up and land back down on your feet like you would in any typical platforming game. You’ll have to alternate between running on the ground and the ceiling in order to navigate through the level and avoid the obstacles between you and the golden eggs. The levels are set within four different areas: forest, underground caves, mountains, and city. There are well approximately 140 levels in total, ranging vastly on level of difficulty. You’ll find all sorts of different obstacles in your path, including blocks, birds, spikes, and much much more. Navigating through the levels is all about finding the right time to jump, but you also need to consider your flight path at the same time. It’s surprisingly fun, but not without faults. The level design feels slightly repetitive after a while, and although the music is catchy, its basically one tune looping over and over. When you consider Gravity Duck's low price of admission, I'd say it's one to add to the library for those fond of platforming and problem solving games on the Xbox One.    … Expand

    In Gravity Duck you play as a duck with the ability to defy the laws of gravity. Your on the hunt for golden eggs that will take you through over 140 levels in four different stages. The forest, caves, mountains, and then in to the city. You have to dodge spikes, traps, and many creatures. Some that just crawl around to some that chase and shoot at you. The game is difficult at times, but never overly difficult. It's really a lot of fun for all ages at a really affordable price. In typical Ratalaika fashion the game is only five dollars. Also in typical Ratalaika fashion the game has simple Achievements/Trophies that you can grab early, and yet still have hours upon hours of game play left to enjoy. You can get a complete game in as little as thirty minutes, and still only be about a quarter of the way done with the game. They always give you a lot of value to go with padding your stats.
    The game looks , feels, and sounds very retro as usual for them. 8 bit graphics, and music really make this game feel like a classic title. It runs very smoothly without any issues, and the controls are fast and spot on. I really enjoyed my time with it, and Ratalaika just continues to deliver time and time again. I always look forward to seeing a new title weekly, and they continue to do so. Every time they feel very retro, and play well, and pad my gamer score. This in my opinion is one of the better ones.It offers a decent challenge, and a lot of hours of fun. This is one of those cheap games you can grab, and just enjoy with the entire family. I highly recommend this title for just about every one who enjoys Achievement/Trophy chasing or just retro games in general.

    In the end, anyone with even a modicum of ability and patience will breeze through Gravity Duck in about an hour. While there are a couple of trickier levels, you’ll likely blitz through most on your first try. With no incentive at all to replay levels (no time attack/hidden items etc) and the full 1000G gained in half the time it takes to clear the game, I can’t really recommend it to anyone outside of achievement hunters.
