    This is awful, simply awful. It is basically like they copied assets into what appears to be a free photo editing app to improve the graphics and then pasted them back.
    Poorly optimised, less than 25fps, frequent crashes, ugly Fortnite-like graphics, terrible janky movements, poor English and grammatical errors, and the list goes on.

    I have only played San Andreas, which I was able to play through Game Pass. And I was very lucky that it was on Game Pass, as I likely would have spent $60 for this collection. I am a huge San Andreas fan, I got it the day it launched. I have the Xbox 360 version on disc and played it back to back with the remaster. The original is better in every way... and the 360 version has always beenI have only played San Andreas, which I was able to play through Game Pass. And I was very lucky that it was on Game Pass, as I likely would have spent $60 for this collection. I am a huge San Andreas fan, I got it the day it launched. I have the Xbox 360 version on disc and played it back to back with the remaster. The original is better in every way... and the 360 version has always been an inferior port of the original version! Many people have talked about the obvious flaws, but I truly think this is a worse version in every way. Some of the things that have gotten some praise are also negative aspects in my opinion, such as the 'improved' driving and shooting. Yes, the cars are much more responsive and stable. But the map was not designed for such driving mechanics, and now driving around feels boring because it is not engaging. There is much less variety between cars, and it doesn't really matter which you choose as they all handle well enough. Picking the right car for a long mission or a race used to be important, but now pretty much anything will do the trick. Shooting feels similarly duller, and the new lock on reticle has a very generic style that feels out of place. I will not even go into depth on the cartoony style, butchered character designs, and jarringly mismatched graphical styles. As for that stuff, I will just say I much prefer the 360 version, there may be some technical details that are higher quality in the remaster, but the 360 version actually looks like a cohesive world with a unified style. This is just a mess that was clearly assembled without love. I have bought and enjoyed every main GTA game since III. I have been waiting for this collection for years so I can play III and Vice City on my Xbox One. I did not expect perfection, but I never expected it to be so bad I wouldn't even want to play the remasters for free on Game Pass. At this point I would 100% rather buy a used original Xbox and copies of Vice City and III than pay $60 for this collection, and calling these the "definitive" editions of these games is truly an insult to the fans.… Expand

    Xbox One X can run Red Dead Redemption 2 at Native 4K with very few drops, but guess what, a remastered 2004 game can barely run at 1440p, nice job and optimization, Rockstar. These two are both games made by you, so what the hell happened? Also, you ruined the game itself, bad lighting, bad character models, bad gameplay, everything is bad.     The games update was filled with so many glitches and graphical problems I requested a refund and was instantly granted one. Didn't see rockstar setting their beer down to help cyberpunk.

    Thankful San Andreas was available with Game Pass Ultimate. That way I learned that I shouldn't buy this game. I don't understand how this passed the quality checks. My Series X had frame drops and hick-ups and sound was off at some points. Early on the game crashed (when I had to flee on the bikes). Didn't someone beta test this? I feel sorry for the people who actually paid money for this.

    Un asco total, rompieron toda la ambientación del juego, quitaron canciones, bugs nuevos y bajones de frame rato constantes, a si y destrozaron completamente el modo caos que se activa en las últimas 3 misiones se pusieron a quitar el fuego y el humo de las casas y no sale más que uno que otro peatón peleando NADA QUE VER CON EL ORIGINAL!     A game that is so under cooked they didn’t release copies to the press for reviews. Rockstar have clearly looked at CD Project Red’s Cyberpunk 2077 and said hold my beer while I curl a bigger turd out.

Where are there quality of life improvements and *much more* that they promised in NewsWire article? And now they ask 60 dollar for this. Whoever worked on this have only slight experience in photoshop, thats it. They have no idea how to program new things. This is most amateurish product, billion dollar company has ever released. I absolutely dont care that Rockstar North didnt work on this. They hired the studio, they green lit it, they were okay to release it in state like this. Its all on them. Everything. Now Rockstar Launcher has been down over a day, i cant even play Red Dead Redemption 2, because it asks me to connect to internet and i cant do that, because launcher is down. This is ridiculous. They have milked GTA Online over 8 years and thats all they are capable of for now. Yes Red Dead 2 was great, but that was 4-5 years ago. Thats a long time. I have zero hope for GTA 6, absolutely none. I bet it will be with short story and extreme focus on online, i mean who know, maybe whole game will be just online, but im pretty sure they will design GTA 6 map, so it would mostly fit for online. Good job Rockstar, you **** up again and released another piece of **** The worst thing is, they delisted the originals from Steam. The only way to get them now is through pirating, which might not be a bad idea for future Rockstar titles...

    On this version you cannot even complete Bloodbowl because it will crash the game. 100% is impossible.

    There are bugged textures left and right. There is a night and day difference in the detail in the face of the protagonists compared to any other character, and it feels incredibly out of place. There are mission bugs, particularly in VC’s Gun Runner. The frame rate is inconsistent at best, dropping the most drastically when it begins to rain. The rain is also unbearable. In GTA 3, it is just shy of impossible to see when it’s raining. They’re white streaks that cover the entire screen, being more akin to TV static than actual rain. In VC and SA, the issue doesn’t seem to be quite as intolerable, but nonetheless they are still just white streaks flying across the screen instead of something that actually resembles rain drops. You could go through the r/GTA or r/GTATrilogy for 5 minutes and spot 30 bugs players have found, which vary from immersion breaking to game breaking. There are removed songs and animations in each game, the most egregious of the animations being everything muscular CJ does now. And as far as missing songs goes, the company that made this game has amassed an unbelievable amount of wealth, and it’s nothing but laziness and greediness to not work out licensing for the ACTUAL DEFINITIVE SOUNDTRACK. The games’ audio received almost no polish. It seems the only thing actually done to change these games from what they were before is the graphical appearance. When these games were current, they were the best looking PS2 era games around. With the “Definitive” editions just released, they are still nothing more than the best looking PS2 era games. The only changes to make gameplay any smoother are the free camera, and free camera drive by controls. By today’s standards, GTA 3 is next to unplayable. Nothing about it feels good. It was a chore to complete, and it’s a game from my childhood that I have incredibly fond memories of. I even go back and play the original version once every 2 or 3 years, along with VC and SA. These games deserved improvements to make them appeal to the generation that didn’t get the chance to play them when all the hype surrounded them. Instead, we’ve gotten 3 bug ridden messes from a studio that already ruined the 10 year anniversary edition of, arguably, everybody’s favorite game, San Andreas (I prefer VC for the story, and SA for gameplay). If changes aren’t made VERY soon to fix performance issues, and eliminate the dozens of bugs players are coming across, I think the legacy of these games will be tarnished, and the reputation of all companies involved will be questioned of laziness and greed. tl;dr: It’s a rushed mess. It is incredibly apparent they needed at least another 2 months to have the games properly built. And now, instead, we’re going to have to wait and hope that they add patches that we should’ve never had to wait for in the first place.… Expand

Ugly cartoonish models, lots of bugs and glitches, any noticible improvement gameplaywise, and the glitchy milk rain just makes it unplayable at nights. 0/10. This kind of product just makes me worried about GTA VI.

    Created an account just to share my disappointment for such a lackluster and poorly executed "Remaster"! It shows no signs of a project with any passion or polish and is riddled with bugs! My old PS2 didn't crash, freeze, or drop frames like my PS5 did with all 3 of these games! The models and textures that were upgraded to a decent standard can barely be seen behind the awful rain thatCreated an account just to share my disappointment for such a lackluster and poorly executed "Remaster"!     Just not what I expected... Crashes after crashes and graphics are popping in just too many times. I was able to finish off cyberpunk quicker than this. After waiting soo many years for a game from rockstargames, you get a remaster and that also broken... Not good.

    Extremely under cooked. They paid no respect to this trilogy. The character models are worst, there are a lot bug, the rain just makes it difficult to drive. And look at their courage, asking 60 dollars for this non sense, while the modders have been doing this for free for years.
    GTA Trilogy: Definitive Edition, is a clear case of corporate greed and how R* is about to end.

Broken character models, terrible rain effect, cars don't have rear taillights and the list goes on. Just another cash grab get rich quick scheme.     The bottom line is you should wait whether you’re a new fan or an old fan returning. This Definitive Edition was a sad excuse for a re-release. Visual issues plagued the gameplay making it a frustrating experience with goofy looking models looking worse than the originals. The sounds still hold up and have aged well and there is longevity with these titles as they are brilliant when functioning. I have faith they will continue to update and fix issues, but game developers are getting away with dropping broken games and fixing it later. The delay for the physical releases being pushed back to the 17th shows that they want more time to fix them. The digital launch was a beta test at best and we were the guinea pigs to experiment with. Wait for the inevitable updates to slowly roll out before giving your money to a game company that wanted to swindle loving fans at launch. At least San Andreas is part of Game Pass if looking to test the waters before buying.

    Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy- Definitive Edition on Xbox is an overpriced and poorly produced release which does absolutely no favours to the classic games it attempts to celebrate. The experience here is far from definitive, and aside from the sheer laziness in the graphical remastering and performance, it introduces a whole slew of performance issues.
