The game is broken into three levels, each with its own genre. The first stage is a horror game, where you have to hide from unbeatable monsters while searching for the missing pages. This section of the game may not seem too scary for a fan of the genre, but younger players new to the scares may find it really scary running from the horrors of the books and movies. The second section is all about puzzles and problem solving. The puzzles here are formidable for the target audience, and are fun to figure out. Some of this area will rely on timing more than puzzle solving, but the hiding is over. The last part plays out like a FPS and pits you against Gummy Bears with a Tesla Gun. Jack Black repraises his role as the voice of R.L.Stein, and the whole game well voiced. For experienced gamers this title is really short, able to be beaten in less than two hours. This game sets out three genres full of exploration and is great to introduce younger gamers to them. Fans of Goosebumps, and those with younger gamers will find Goosebumps: Dead of Night another great story to add to their collection. Full Review »
