The presentation side of the game has charm present in both the visuals and sound design and they both combine with the gameplay very well. In terms of content the game has decent amount for you to get to grips with and in my opinion it does a good job of not overstaying its welcome. In terms of content the game has decent amount for you to get to grips with and in my opinion it does a good job of not overstaying its welcome. There’s a decent amount of variety present in each level and this does keep things fresh and interesting that little bit longer. Each resource that’s present in the game actually feel like they matter and every mechanic present feels fluid right from the get go. Unfortunately the game doesn’t challenge you very often if at all which can make things become a little tedious every now and then. I liked the game’s simplistic approach at times it is a little bit too simplistic for its own good and more depth would’ve been nice.I would’ve liked more of a story because what’s available to you is a little too basic and it fails to capture your imagination. I admit that I enjoyed the previous Gnomes Garden titles so I did have interest in Gnomes Garden 2 and thankfully I’m pleased to say that this game once again ticks quite a few boxes for me. Don’t get me wrong it’s far from being perfect and more of a challenge would’ve been nice but on the whole I was able to look past this because it delivers quite a bit of fun. The fun comes in the form of each of its resources which actually feel like they matter and when you combine that with the variety present in each of the game’s levels you end up enjoying the gameplay throughout your time with the game. There’s also a decent amount of content available to you as well and whilst I feel the content is a little too simplistic for its own good at times it never became too repetetive or outstayed its welcome. One of my favourite things about the game was its presentation because I enjoyed what both the visuals and sound design included, but I will say though that a little bit more in terms of a story would’ve been nice. That being said if you enjoyed the previous Gnomes Garden game’s then you will once again enjoy what Gnomes Garden 2 has to offer and in the end it does enough to get a recommendation from me. Expand

Gnomes Garden 2 plays like a cheap, run-of-the-mill Facebook game. There’s minimal depth on show here, and far too much hand holding for it to be considered even remotely challenging. I’ll credit the game for being both accessible and, for its cost, plentiful, but if you’re looking for a deep resource management experience, you wont find that here. Gnomes Garden 2 is just about passable, nothing more.
