I've been around playing this wonderful game since the beginning. I'm new-ish to MOBA-like games, and I was initially hesitant. It felt overwhelming, initially. Every character was different. Many options were available with each characters build. However, I decided to get out of my Triple A-title-mentality and actually work and learn the game. Every character was different. Many options were available with each characters build. However, I decided to get out of my Triple A-title-mentality and actually work and learn the game. I eventually bought the Founder's Pack because I believed in Gigantic so much. And from the closed beta to now the official release of Gigantic, I'm proud to say that it's one of the best games I've ever played.
The game has come a long way since its initial closed beta to open beta status. Connections can still have issues, but they're way better now. Progress loss doesn't happen anymore. Visuals and UI have been cleaned up and look beautiful now. Everything flows nicely.
However, the gameplay is where it's at! No matter the character you use, you have a role. And if you fulfill your role on your team, your team stands a significant chance against the opposing foes. You can't choose a ranged character and go into the middle of a fight. You'll be squashed easily. Medium range characters are best at inside-out play. And melee characters are to be used by people with confidence. If you don't fulfill your role, your team suffers.
I'm already writing too much. Let me condense how I feel:
Gameplay is tight. Roles are significant. Team builds are significant. That being said, team WORK is important. And that's where the game shines. It's a rush to run in and fight and come out on top. Everything is earned, but not difficult to earn if you fulfill your role and play intelligently. Shooter players will mostly struggle until they realize it's not a one-man show. One man can make a difference, but if one man chooses to go rogue against the team, the team will definitely lose.
Visuals are absolutely lovely to look at. Each character has their own sound bites throughout the game, and it just adds to the game.

Gigantic is full of charm, with wonderfully simple controls that requires thought and practice to master. Almost no other game, for me, offers the feeling of reward you get when working together and earning a win or a close loss.

I'd give a full 10, but my sole issue is that connectivity issues can sometimes rear its ugly head. It's a short blip and you can join back in within a few minutes, but it's still a hiccup not gamer wants - especially when playing one of their favorite games.

Hope people give this a shot, and maybe we meet in battle :)

Great cast of characters all with their own personality and each with multiple ways of playing them. Fast paced, instense, tactical combat. It's not without it's flaws, but it's constantly being improved with features and new heroes/maps/creatures/skins being added every 4 weeks or so. Very responsive and in-touch dev team too.

I cannot recommend this game highly enough, especially

Motiga have created a fast paced and intense game that MOBA and shooter fans will both be able to sink their teeth into. An Incredible art style mixed with fantastic hero designs makes Gigantic stand out from the crowd ..

Make the game stand out, even among the crowded free-to-play MOBA genre xbox.

Bad publicity and a dividing the playerbase too much, plus the closure of the studio causes a unique, free to play game to shut down.

The few problems the Gigantic has are eclipsed by the sheer fun that that it is to play and I don’t see myself dropping this game anytime soon.

Gigantic is an accessible MOBA that admirably scales the genre down, but loses the magic that makes the genre so enticing. It lacks many of the myriad ability and character interactions that make learning these kinds of games so much fun, and the combat doesn’t find a comfortable center between MOBA and third-person action.

Balancing the objective-based main phase with the rushed and frantic giant monster-powered Rampage phase gives Gigantic a fast and distinctive pace that separates it from the MOBA crowd.

While Gigantic builds on a foundation that has already been set, the architects at Motiga have a blueprint with real potential. The Clash and Guardian system is distinctive and gives a great sense of scale, while the list of heroes is colorful, yet not over-designed. This isn’t just another MOBA; it’s a unique experience that takes the minimum requirements to qualify for the genre and goes off on its own tangent – and I couldn’t be happier for it.
