    Good:
    Nice blacks
    Noir atmosphere Music

    Bad:
So boring that is impossible to finish. Despite being a small game and part of Game pass, the percentage of people thay play it more than the 1st hour is below 10%

Genesis Noir is the kind of art I don't need to completely understand to actually enjoy and appreciate it as an interactive game. to put it shortly Genesis noir is a game I found kind of OK with simple puzzles that are better than a lot of other (we aren't walking simulators we forced in some puzzles to get around that title game) the story while kind confusing and hard to understand is still enjoyable and the visuals are enough to carry the game for 3 hours and overall if you itching for an artsy noir story with ato put it shortly Genesis noir is a game I found kind of OK with simple puzzles that are better than a lot of other (we aren't walking simulators we forced in some puzzles to get around that title game) the story while kind confusing and hard to understand is still enjoyable and the visuals are enough to carry the game for 3 hours and overall if you itching for an artsy noir story with a 1920'ssoundtrack and have 3 hours to kill this will scratch that itch Expand

It's a game that tells a story and the situations are resolved with various mini-games, some are easy like just clicking on the yellow, others are somewhat complex puzzles. Colorful graphics (simple but very colorful and expressive). Excellent Jazz and Big Band Jazz soundtrack. There is a part where you can unleash the Jazz syncopation and improvise, turn up the volume and enjoy. The entire game is full of references to scientific theories and postulates, especially astrophysics and particle physics. 1000G "easy" following the story. Two well-defined endings. It's on Xbox Game Pass. I am amazed at the way in which with simple words they explain very advanced postulates such as gravitational waves, relativity, event horizons or the Penrose Effect.

    The bad:
If neither of the two approaches hooks you, you are going to have a very bad time. If you don't know what they're talking about, you're going to have a really bad time. If you don't like film noir or detective films from the 1950s and 1960s, you're going to have a really bad time. If you don't like Jazz music, you're going to have a really bad time. If you are not hooked, you will surely leave it halfway. It is definitely not a game for minors, neither because of the language nor because of the references to drugs and other vices. Very short game.

    Lo Meh!:
If you just want the achievements, skip the dialogues, do the minigames and do something else. If you really want to know what they are talking about, you have to look for references to Astrophysics and Particle Physics in academic books (not in internet crap). Maybe "your trip" is useless.

Super cool game! Relaxing but intense story. You will have to work too figure it out but trippy and and unlike most games I've seen before. Xbox version does still have a few bugs so far they go away with a level reset. Mostly is been a cursor problem. Still way with my time!

This isn't a game, it's an interactive piece of art.
This game is an audiovisual Ambien ( and I mean that as a compliment)
Once you accept that you'll find the work very engaging and interesting though also very abstract and confusing. My only critique of the game and why I deducted two points is that there is a long cutscene toward the end that I found thematically too incongruous

My only critique of the game and why I deducted two points is that there is a long cutscene toward the end that I found thematically too incongruous from the rest of the work. If you're looking for something to do to help you relax and doze off I found this "game" very soothing I would play out one scene every night before bed before the ending.

Judged solely on its art this game is a solid perfect 10/10, but based on its gameplay it is a mere 3/10. This piece of work belongs in an art gallery, it is stunningly presented. It should not be a game, because it was frequently frustrating and a pain to play. Nevertheless, it is beautiful and I feel creatively nourished after playing it. And it is on game pass, give it a go!

Genesis Noir presents us with a story set in a time when everything took place just after the Big Bang. Thanks to an ambitious story and a very nostalgic gameplay, we are guaranteed to be glued to the screen until the end of the adventure.

If a crime writer, a cosmologist and a mythologist collaborated on a video game, the result might be Genesis Noir, the most conceptually audacious game to hit digital storefronts in many moons.

Even with these foibles, I still really dug the majority of Genesis Noir. The fantastic presentation made it easier to forgive some of the repetition and bugs, and for all the grandiose nature of the story, it was still interesting to follow and piece together. It could probably be completed in one or two sittings, so if you’re up for something a little different, I’d definitely recommend checking out Genesis Noir.
