    By far the better exclusive this year for MS, this game put in shame any of flop exclusives sony bring us this here, tremendous gameplay, extreme graphic best console (XBOX), soundtrack is amazing, funny missions and the game is never repetitive.

    its time sony put the eyes in MS exclusives, meanwhile sony is crying only with 2 AAA sony studios flops, days gone and medievil. what a joke

    Firstly, game is beautiful.
    But do not expect any kind of simulation here. Car handling with a steering wheel and FFB is out of this earth, even unplayable (tested on "simulation" difficulty).
    Thanks to xbox game pass I did not have to pay a full price for it. Going back to Diret Rally 2.

    They censored the songs post-launch. That alone is enough reason to grant this game a 0.

    Stunning graphics... this is the best racer ever made on any format. The Xbox one X has a 60fps mode which is superb. A monumental achievement by playground games. Deserves the high rating.

    La saga Forza Horizon es mi saga favorita de conducción, me he pasado el 1 (completo) y el 2 vamos en proceso, (el 3 y el 4 también ya los tengo) soy de los que me gusta romper todos los carteles, pasar los desafíos de velocidad y superar las barreras, por cada juego el mapa es más impresionante como la cantidad de vehículos, las estaciones de radio son sin duda parte esencial del juegoLa saga Forza Horizon es mi saga favorita de conducción, me he pasado el 1 (completo) y el 2 vamos en proceso, (el 3 y el 4 también ya los tengo) soy de los que me gusta romper todos los carteles, pasar los desafíos de velocidad y superar las barreras, por cada juego el mapa es más impresionante como la cantidad de vehículos, las estaciones de radio son sin duda parte esencial del juego donde toma protagonismo en cada recorrido, y el sistema de juego de mundo abierto permite que puedas disfrutar de conducir donde quieras observando los paisajes, y por supuesto las competencias del festival.

    Lo que he jugado al 4 me ha parecido un salto espectacular, en gráficos, narrativa, desafíos, la climatología incorporada demuestra que incluso un juego de coches tiene mucho que innovar, ahora puedes tener tu propio personaje, tener tus mansiones y disfrutar de esta gran saga que empezó como un spin off de Motorsport que ahora tiene caracter propio y se ha posicionado como uno de los mejores videojuegos de conducción, para todo tipo de jugador, no fuerza tener experiencia en dicho género y te invita a disfrutar con los paisajes, la música y las competencias.

    Juego infravalorado. En mi opinion es mejor q el gran turismo. No soy de jugar mucho juegos de carros, pero este esta brutal de bello. Envicia mas que need for speed por los entornos que tienes para jugar.

    The game is impeccable, especially if you haven't played another racing game in a while (which incorporates some "GTA questing" on the go, mildly) but I must subtract at least 2 points because:

Not only they act like drunk bafoons all the time, almost all stories are uninteresting    The game is impeccable, especially if you haven't played another racing game in a while (which incorporates some "GTA questing" on the go, mildly) but I must subtract at least 2 points because:

    2) The game is in need for extreme grinding in order to reach 100% completion. i.e. it becomes a chore to complete it fully and you might be better off not reaching 100% completion.

    All in all the game is definitely not bad but be warned, it's not perfect, especially if you are experienced at gaming. Highly recommended if you haven't played good racing though.

    PS. Never play a game like this with a keyboard, always use a good controller, at least.    … Expand

    By far it’s the greatest Forza game ever .
    It has four seasons to begin with and each season has its own races and challenges and each season has a car for you to win when you finish completing the man challenge.
    I totally recommend buying this game !!

    Mucho contenido, mientras los demás juegos se limitan a carreras o solo rally o gt o callejeras una sola diciplina aquí en Horizon está todo,    En una época donde los juegos de carreras arcade (aunque también puede jugarse en dificultad de simulación) van en caída Turn 10 solo sube, no se como pero mi impresión del juego es como si fuera un RPG pero con autos y me encanta como funciona.

    Mucho contenido, mientras los demás juegos se limitan a carreras o solo rally o gt o callejeras una sola diciplina aquí en Horizon está todo, en autos tenemos desde monoplazas de 100cc hasta hypercars y opciones de personalización muy detalladas.

    tenemos un juego bien pulido impresionante visualmente buena música para todos los gustos, Horizon 4 te atrapa por los sentidos. la interacción del jugador con todo en el juego es genial y bastante inmersiva prácticamente todo el juego reacciona a tus logros es gratificante escuchar que se hable de tus carreras en la radio.

    lo único que le echo en falta es el antagonista final por así decirlo esa carrera donde te ganabas el auto insignia del juego.

    en conclusión Horizonte 4 lo tiene todo y le puede encantar a cualquiera sin ser necesariamente un fan del automovilismo.

    To start off, I would like to say that I'm not the best player in the world, so don't let me stop you from getting this game, but anyway, Forza Horizon 4 is currently one of my favorite games, and I play it on a daily. So here is my review:

    Forza Horizon 4 is a free roaming racer in which you drive around a fictional Great Britain. The world is large and there are tons of events to    To start off, I would like to say that I'm not the best player in the world, so don't let me stop you from getting this game, but anyway, Forza Horizon 4 is currently one of my favorite games, and I play it on a daily. So here is my review:

    Forza Horizon 4 is a free roaming racer in which you drive around a fictional Great Britain. The world is large and there are tons of events to choose from, including dirt racing and drag races, so there are a lot of things to do. The car list contains over 450 cars and new ones added through the car pass (i'll get back to this) and through car packs and expansions (Similar to The Sims 4 but a lot better). Now coming back to the car pass, its one of the two reasons for my lower score, there are so many great cars in the car pass that they should have added for free, I fell like the car pass ruins the game by making newer cars inaccessible. Now I would like to go to the second reason for my lower score, the Peel P50 and the BMW Isetta. Why? These two cars are light cars that can basically break the game. Sometimes, when you go on the leaderboard, the top spots are from the Peel P50 and the Isetta. It makes no sense, and it kind of ruins the game.

    So this is my review, but don't let it stop you from buying the game.    … Expand

    Sem sombra de duvidas Forza Horizon é a referencia nos jogos de corrida de mundo aberto. Bons gráficos, boa jogabilidade, boas opções de multiplayer. Tem as 4 estações do ano que cria uma jogabilidade única em cada uma delas. Excelente!

    joguei a versão de xbox one x e em 4k o jogo é de encher os olhos, mesmo em 1080p 60 fps o game não deixa a desejar, é simplesmente lindo, com muitas missões a serem feitas e uma trilha sonora que te envolve junto ao game, embora eu prefira a serie motorsport a serie horizon é diversão garantida

    Como gamer neutral, considero que Forza Horizon 4 es uno de los pocos, por no decir el único, exclusivos que si valen la pena y con creces. Forza Horizon 4 logró lo que ningún juego de conducción logró antes, y el nivel de inmersión es fantástico, tanto en físicas como el control de sistema de climas. Un 10/10 sin dudarlo.

I've really enjoined the season change, that is not as the other games, the entire map change: in winter with huge snow banks at the edge of the road and with frozen lakes on which you can drift races, the car becomes difficult to handle and the races take on a whole different difficulty, in autumn the road it is infested with orange leaves and the off road becomes muddy and difficult, while in summer the map shines rich in colors. The amount of events is simply ENORMOUS and also you can decide in what type of events you wanna take part and upgrade.     Hay poco para reprocharle a un juego con tantísimas cosas positivas y disfrutables. Pero hay algo que lo arruina por completo, y se trata de las "aventuras con clasificación" (ranked), y principalmente son dos cosas lo que hacen que el juego no sea disfrutable online. Una es la cantidad de jugadores extremadamente tóxicos (eres muy afortunado si terminas una carrera sin que alguien teHay poco para reprocharle a un juego con tantísimas cosas positivas y disfrutables. Pero hay algo que lo arruina por completo, y se trata de las "aventuras con clasificación" (ranked), y principalmente son dos cosas lo que hacen que el juego no sea disfrutable online. Una es la cantidad de jugadores extremadamente tóxicos (eres muy afortunado si terminas una carrera sin que alguien te empuje fuera de la pista para que te saltées un punto de control, o que te lleven por delante en una curva, o lo peor y más ridículo en la historia de los videojuegos: los "wall riders", porque sí, si lo haces bien, es más rápido doblar una curva pegándote a una pared que doblarla como se debería hacer), la mayor parte del tiempo el juego parece más una arena de destrucción que una carrera. Y lo segundo, que me parece insólito, es que el juego elija todo por encima del jugador. Realmente esto es lo peor que he visto en un videojuegos de carreras EN MI VIDA. Qué pasa si no me interesa jugar cross country? O si me pasé tres horas poniendo a punto un auto clase s2 para carretera? Me jodo, porque si el juego dice dirt racing clase a en nieve, se corre eso y punto, y si no te gusta a salir de la carrera... pero obviamente no sin llevarte una buena penalización en tu clasificación. Lo mismo si sucede al revés, supongamos que te pasaste dos horas poniendo a punto un hermoso auto de rally... pues ahí tenemos no sólo lo que mencioné antes, que tienes que esperar a que al juego se le ocurra ponerte una aventura de dirt racing, sino que las carreras de "dirt" racing (""""""""""dirt""""""""""), son 80% asfalto, y probablemente la gane quien tenga el auto menos apto para correr en caminos de tierra.
    En resumen, para jugar offline, uno de los mejores juegos de carrera que ha existido. Pero para jugar online... no gracias. (A no ser que se forme parte de dicha toxicidad, lo único que importe sea ganar por encima de disfrutar el juego y sobre todo muy por encima de dejar que los demás lo disfruten aunque sea un mínimo.)    … Expand

    servers are often down and doesn't really work well. Big sound problem and too much cheaters in online racing challenges

    Overall an ok game but a lazy and poor sequel, it's basically FH3 with some features removed and some less important ones added. Social component was destroyed and nobody will even do anything with random people, they will literally drive right through you (ghosting is a useless and sad feature) and there is nothing to push the community to socialize.     VIP pass was a JOKE, they added tons of versions of already implemented cars, some ports from other games and mostly uninteresting things. Enjoy your 6 different versions of the lamborghini whothehellcareos, and 5 variations of the chevrolet pleaseshootmeintheface... Fortune island is a great map but it's smaller than my basement and gets boring after some days. Get your act together, i'm reinstalling FH3.    … Expand

    La saga "Horizon" es sin lugar a dudas, un exponente de los videojuego de conducción. Horizon 4 cuenta con una gran variedad de coches y personalización, el mapeado es enorme y te ofrece una libertad sin precedentes para correr desde asfalto a campo abierto. A nivel técnico, los gráficos son impresionantes y el sonido; excelente. No aporta mucho ni evoluciona a su antecesor.

    This is the first Forza Horizon game I have played (Played Forza 2-5) and I was thoroughly impressed. I found myself spending countless hours roaming the countryside of Scotland either by myself or with friends and just being entertained. When I wasn't just plowing through farm lands to hit a jump going 150mph and actually diving into all the diverse race styles that game had to offer IThis is the first Forza Horizon game I have played (Played Forza 2-5) and I was thoroughly impressed. I found myself spending countless hours roaming the countryside of Scotland either by myself or with friends and just being entertained. When I wasn't just plowing through farm lands to hit a jump going 150mph and actually diving into all the diverse race styles that game had to offer I would see the hours tick by. It was a nice break from traditional racing games of racing on the same tracks since the Grand Turismo days of the late 90s over and over with just updated car models and graphics. The game was gorgeous and ran extremely smooth on the Xbox One X. Between all the different modes you can partake in the single player and the team style modes in multiplayer, I highly recommend this game to racing fans, especially if you are looking for something other than racing Sebring Raceway for the one millionth time in your life.… Expand

    this is by far the Forza Horizon game ever made up to date. The massive array of cars, the beautiful landscape and the graphics Making me agape because of how smooth and realistic it is also the sound of the cars is jaw dropping. Playground Games keeps stepping up their game and making name for themselves. This is by far my best Horizon experience I've ever have and the best out of the series.

This is the furthest thing from any Forza game (Horizon or Motorsport) you have come to know & love, this is basically EA's "The Crew". Facts: -FORGET ABOUT PLAYING WITH A STEERING WHEEL!!!     Facts:
    -FORGET ABOUT PLAYING WITH A STEERING WHEEL!!! As of now the wheel doesn't work worth squat, its so full of bugs.
    - Never before have Forza controls been this horrifically arcadey to the point where it feels like you're playing "Burnout: Paradise". It really doesn't even matter what vehicle you pick in this game because they all handle the exact same. The supercars perform equally as well as the trucks & vice versa on all terrains. Zero realism.
    - All the races (especially online) are complete hit & run sideswiping bashfests where the winner is determined by who rammed their opponents the hardest in the corners.
    - They have completely gone off the deep end with the unrealism in Horizon 4. It was getting bad (but tolerable) in Horizon 3 but this a whole new level of retardation. Constantly breaking through cobblestone barriers & 2ft diameter trees like they're made of cardboard, huh?
    - The Auction House is a complete joke, lots of people getting lots of cool cars for cheap but you won't be one of them, you'll get robbed right at the very last second 99% of the time.
    - It seems like they're using a new game engine or at least a new version of the old one, and I'm not a fan. Everything seems degraded from the graphics to the gameplay, and I'm on Xbox one X with a good 4K tv.
    - How come when you place dead last in a race you still basically "win" anyways and progress regardless of just losing? Add this to the general clothing selection & fruity festival vibe found throughout this game and you can pretty much figure out for yourself whats wrong with today's youth. Probably the exact types of people who made this game!

    Forza Horizon 4 expands upon the Forza brand, with an ever expanding car roster, the game is great to buy into now. Some things do hold it back from a perfect score, including but not limited to the amount of DLC & the simple fact that the game is incredibly glitchy.

    Pornografía automovilística seria lo que define este juego. Absolutamente en todos sus apartados supera todos los juegos de conducción hasta la fecha. De echo no hay ningún juego este 2018 que sea tan bueno como este juego en términos generales. Una obra maestra en arte y jugabilidad que hará que no dejes de jugar en muchos meses.

    Forza Horizon 4 is the best racing game of all time. That may sound like an overstatement but it really is true. The closest thing I can think of in terms of pushing the genres envelope is probably Gran Turismo 2 and this feel like even more of a leap forward than that game.

    I'm not even playing this on 4k and it is definitely amongst the most beautiful games I've ever played. The weather effects not only shine visually but in how they effect your cars handling/braking. I may be somewhat biased coming from the UK but it all looks absolutely stunning. There is a ton of elevation variety which is probably the biggest knock on the previous Forza games. The map is absolutely gigantic and the roads, both off road and on are amazing fun to drive. The car detail has now gotten to a near photo realistic level, particularly when shown in 4k. There has been more than one moment when I've been playing this where you just get lost in how wonderful it all looks. Fortunately there is a brilliant photo mode to help capture these moments. Everything looks absolutely brilliant, every single car looks amazing. The dynamic seasons basically mean that every week the game changes not just visually but significantly. Winter makes lakes turn into gigantic skid pans, Spring brings heavy rain making the off roads even slidier than before and Summer just makes everything look beautiful. It's some of the best gaming graphics I have ever seen which is even more astounding since it all comes from a single load on start up that isn't even that long.

    Gameplay.
    Incredible. They've mastered the "Forza Horizon" style of car handling now which isn't simulation but isn't quite arcade. You will have absolutely zero difficulty in making any car drift, for example, but this all adds to the fun. The odd part is Horizon has now basically just become a gigantic sandbox. There is no real story, even if the old entries had a very basic one this time around there really isn't anything. There is a festival, lots of cars and lots of races to use them in. That's about it. But that's perfect. Its simple. It's a game you can play for 6 hours or 20 minutes and feel like you achieved something in the time you spent playing. The constant addition of not only new races but new story paths give this game a level of depth I've basically never seen elsewhere. The story modes all put a little spin on the races which addresses the issue that really all you can do in racing games is, well, race. Things like Drift Club, Stunt Driver and the brilliant addition of British Racing Heritage add so much more to a game that could easily become boring and repetitive. British Racing Heritage definitely requires singling out as brilliant. They throw you into a variety of British cars, tell you to drive to a point and on the way give you an interesting and well written history lesson on the car. Its great fun and informative too, even to a fairly avid petrol head like myself. There is simply so much to do it is a testament to how fun it is to just drive the cars that in the last week or so of playing I've barely done a race. The barn finds are back again and as fun as ever to do, the addition of houses is a nice touch and gives you a more personal kind of landmark on the map. The car list is staggeringly huge and whilst licences prevent some brands from appearing you certainly don't lack for choice or variety. You unlock wheelspins or super wheelspins (three spins in one go) as you progress through the game and it's a brilliant mechanic because of the elation you feel when you win a big chunk of money or a really rare car. The idea to give VIP pass owners 2 free super spins a week is a brilliant idea and the main reason why I've probably played this at least once every week since it came out.

    Sound
    It's a personal thing but I'm not too fond of most of the soundtrack, in fact I'm on the classical station most of the time but it has to be said there is a ton of music that is wildly varied. The stations DJs are well written and they scripted in stuff that's happening in the game world which is a nice touch. If a barn find just unlocked you'll find them discussing it inbetween songs for example. The voice actors give a good performance. I mean they're hardly performing Shakespeare but you don't find yourself annoyed by them which in this sort of game is a triumph. The engines sound good but anybody with car knowledge will recognize they aren't realistic and there are some annoyances like the hybrid cars not having electric engine noise at low speed. A minor quibble but one none the less.

    Summary
    I really honestly cannot fault anything about FH4. Every aspect of it is brilliant, addictive and above all incredible amounts of fun. The constant addition to the world via car passes, season changes and the latest addition of a brilliant DLC in Fortune Island makes this one of the best deals in gaming and in my opinion the greatest racing game of all time.    … Expand

    Its a solid arcade style racing entry. I personally went from Horizon 2 to 4 and i have to say i enjoyed 2 more. I like the old rival system better. The visuals are beautiful but the trees are still old school sprites. I am unable to use my g920 to its' full potential in the game which i know other players are having the same problem.     Controls feel tight and better than before, probably 'cause this was made for new generation consoles. Hell, I can even drift with a game pad. Ai balance issues between race types have been fixed and this was something I didn't believe would happen. This restored my faith in turn 10 and playground games as a developer. Multiplayer events are super fun and very well implemented.

    The game is absolutely beautiful. Lighting is top notch and the world is very immersive. I don't know if that's the right word but it makes me feel like I'm really sitting in that car driving trough British country side. Last time this happened was when I got ps1 as a Christmas present back in a day and it just blew my mind. I can't remember when i had this much fun playing a modern game. Holy hell I'm impressed.

    Only con is the car roster. There is just too many boring BMWs and too few interesting cars. But at least Porsche is back so that's good.

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Forza Horizon 4. Yeah, out of all the games I played in the year 2018, this is the most played game I had so far for X-Box One. Forza Horizon 4 is an open-world racing game created by Playground Games and Turn 10 Studios for X-Box One and PC (i don't have a powerful laptop to play this but I did play it on X-Box One), and if there was a describing game where you have to review it in 10 words or less, my answer is AMAZING!! I'm a big Horizon fan, I'm not that big on Motorsport but I had a played a few.

    So Forza Horizon was set in stylized Colorado, Forza Horizon 2 was set in stylized France and Italy, Forza Horizon 3 was set in the stylized place of my home country, Australia, and guess what, Forza Horizon 4 is set in stylized Great Britain. And no, we wouldn't be seeing the Queen because it is not set in London. It is set in Great Britain with Edinburgh as the big city with some average small sized country towns, an east shore beach line like in Forza Horizon 3, and lots and lots of cottages and castles. And guess what pairs well with castles, no. Not monarchies, cars. Its a Forza Horizon game bye the way.

    If you bought the Ultimate Edition, you have the ability to get a head start in the game with the pre-order bonuses for some existing new cars, the Car Pass, the VIP Bonus, the pre-order of the games two Expansion Packs with the first one coming out sometime in December 2018 and the latter coming out for my prediction, probably mid 2019. Hencing the name 4 in its name, the biggest factor this game has which no other game even thought of is the changing of seasons which happens service-wide when online aswell as weather effects. One of my favorite feature from its predecessor, the Blueprint Feature is back and better than ever with one of its updates that Playground Games and Turn 10 did is the Route Creator, and lets say. This is the closest I seen to having a race editor, you drive the car as its driving line. The only minor thing is that there is no props, but hey there has to be some limitations. Before I was into Forza Horizon 4, in the predecessors, I wasn't that big into designing my car liveries, but with this game, there is almost absolutely nothing that could bore you. I'm starting to like the idea of making your car stand out by using the Design Editor. The Horizon Stories practically replaces our lost feature the Bucket List Challenges, with what oh yeah, challenges by the people that run the festival. How dare you drop that Blueprint feature for Bucket List Challenges. But yeah, the Horizon Story missions are pretty good. How often would you have a jet flying over you. And speaking of jets, the Showcase Events are pretty good this time but the problem is the number, 5 Showcase Events with one of them being Halo themed. I suppose that is good with that vehicle (I haven't played any Halo games, sorry). The Street Races are good too, had no problem getting up far in the Horizon Life. The Team Adventure ideally sucks because you are locked in for that event until all of it is done, And the final events like the Goliath and the Gauntlet is strange if you finished below 3rd place or worse. Oh wait, any event don't really care about bonuses because regardless of position, you still getting around the same amount of Credits and Influence. I'm not that big into Drag events too, because they're practically just quarter miles of lame.

    And the last thing that totally disappoints me is the one that brings friendship together, Clubs! No longer do we care about the leaderboard to see who had the most Experience Points, or wait, Influence for that week on that club ladder. We don't even have a working Club System, so they basically resorts with the introduction of the X-Box Dashboard (feel free to join my club, TCTT 185 Club [TC85]). Besides that, I don't mind the use of the Dashboard but no. I thought of a concept idea for this Club feature to be improved for this game, but I won't explain it in this review. Anyway, I feel bad for Turn 10 and Playground and they're doing a good job by listening to the community and updating that game every in-game year (which is one month real-time), but there are just some features that could be improved upon. But that problem is minor, major, no minor, OK moderate. But lets put a positive aspect on this review. There is so many cars that I like such as the McLaren Senna and the Hoonicorn just to name a few, and with these updates to improve car noises and to have new unique rewards, this game is still AMAZING! My Metacritic score reflects that. Besides, where are we going in Forza Horizon 5?    … Expand

    The format horizon series really needs to do something special next outing as it’s becomming the same old routine. Fh3 was a pleasant experience whilst fh4 feels forced but polished and pretty never the less. Maybe longer than a couple of years between this one and the next would be a nice break.

    This is a very well put together, visually stunning video game. I cant say much more than what others already have.

    My only gripe is the weird cutscenes where some npc is talking to you but the character is facing away from the gamer cause they didnt animate their faces.     Oh heres one other minor issue. The exhaust sounds are trash for a majority of the cars. I really think they need to overhaul them.

There is no collisions off mode so prepare to be rammed into constantly by the other team and also your own team!!! It's extremely frustrating to be crashed into, corner bombed and pushed out of checkpoints over and over again. It's as if they made the multiplayer specifically for 12 year olds. I won't even play it anymore.

    Also there is NO OPEN CLASS RIVALS!!!!!!!!!!!!! You can only race rivals in the cars they give you or from a small pool of specific cars. Example B class off road buggies.

    Had I known all the things I loved about the Horizon series were going to be removed I would have never bought the Ultimate Edition of this game. Total waste of money.    … Expand

The seasons bring new and fun things to do, the map is large and never gets boring. The new and refined mechanics are great and liven up the game.     Don't buy the hype, this game is a sloppy wet turd. Compared to Horizon 3 this game down right sucks. The absolute biggest flaw are the new drivatars and the clothing and dance moves you can 'win' for them. It's as if Microsoft decided to blend an element of SIMs into this game and it fails on every level. The clothing is overly flamboyant, gaudy, and pathetic, the dance moves are nothing short of silly and stupid, and yet somehow both are supposed to be valuable to the player. The concept of the wheelspin is still there, but now there are super wheelspins with three prizes to win on every spin. While playing tonight I happened to earn a super wheel spin; I won a sparkly jacket, an extremely feminine looking tank top, and a bowler hat. No car, no credits... instead clothes that don't amount to crap in the game. Considering the amount of time, money, and effort put into developing and now playing this game, the idea of clothes, dance moves, and toot-toot horns somehow being of some value to a player should be enough to get the developer who thought of it fired. I hold no excitement for wheelspins any more. I only know they're going to infuriate and frustrate me every time.

    The second biggest flaw in this software turd is how OP the computer is. I consider myself an average player of the game, experienced from Horizon 3, but I did a race tonight and was 11 full seconds behind first place. I was 2 seconds behind 2nd and a half a second behind 3rd so it wasn't as if I was driving like an idiot. I'd really like to know how the first place "drivatar" was so good? And this game behavior is common! even at lower skill levels. As far as I can tell there are no turbo boosts or silly Mario Kart-type engine pumps that suddenly propel a car 8 miles down a track, and yet that's exactly what occurs when racing the game, and this occurs on a regular basis. I've been 2/3rds of a mile in front of 2nd place on the home stretch of a race and came in 8 because 2nd through 7th burst ahead. No mistakes in racing on my part, I was cruising straight and solid and still lost. No doubt on it; the game literally cheats.

    Both of these equate to one factor about Forza Horizon 4; it's simply not fun to play. Tonight I actually fired up Horizon 3 and raced a few bouts, and I remembered that 3 is actually fun to play. I earned a wheelspin in 3 and actually flinched until I remembered I was actually going to win something of value.... a car or credits. Switching back to Horizon 4 and I was quickly reminded that I had wasted my money on that version...and yes, I bought the extended version, VIP pass, DLC's.....all of it.

    There are other factors that make the game more crappy than annoying; the fact that difficulty levels are far harder, that your ability to earn credits is greatly reduced, but every car and upgrade is far more expensive. Add to that you have to 'buy' houses, now (another SIMs element?) and that "influence", fans in Horizon 3, doesn't seem to be of any value at all in the game. And the music is garbage compared to 3, all around. Each station plays far worse tunes than the previous rendition.

    One positive piece; Horizon 4 does look good on an Xbox One X in 4K, but that's short compensation when you come in fourth in a series against "novice" racers, earn a wheelspin and win flowery, sparkly flip flops that are considered "rare". The games a joke. If you like racing games; stick with Horizon 3 and save yourself some frustration.    … Expand

    Been playing this on PC at 4k60 maxed as well as Xbox one X and I have to say it's visually stunning. The detail in the cars and world is unmatched especially in an open world racer. It also has almost no pop in which is another amazing feat.     Gameplay wise this easily tops previous Horizon titles and the seasons add a ton of replay value. The addition of Rally focused races is also a welcome addition. This is hands down the best open world racer and I've played them all regardless of platform.

    The game is also incredibly polished and bug free. I have yet to have a single issue in well over 100 hours except a single crash due to pushing the overclock on my gtx1080 too far.

    Last but not least this game runs significantly better than fh3 or fm7 on lower spec machines so you can hit 60+fps with higher settings or resolution.    … Expand

    This is my very first experience with the Forza franchise. I never owned an Xbox until last year so this is just another Xbox first for me. I have to say that this game has blown me away, this is one of the best racing games that I have ever played.

    This is an open-world racing game, a similar vein to Burnout Paradise which was just remastered earlier this year. The big difference is, that game never clicked with me but this game just feels like something special. I think the big difference between the two is Burnout Paradise is an arcade racer 100% and the Forza Horizon franchise is the perfect blend of arcade and simulation racer.

    The fact that the game is an open world really plays the games strength. If you want to hop into the game for 20 minutes and just drive around, you can do so with relative ease. Although people are definitely starting to feel open-world fatigue this game is not big deal because this is a racing/driving game and its fun to just drive around. So the most basic thing you can do in an open-world is just move around and when that aspect is fun then it instantly becomes a fun open-world game.

    The other nice aspect of the game being an open-world game is the fact the fact that you can easily pick and chose what racing events you want to engage with. There is street racing, off-road racing, dirt racing, drag racing, drifting, etc. The list goes on if you don’t have any interest in a specific event you can easily ignore it. I personally have 0 interest in drifting so I just didn’t even waste my time engaging with that.

    Single Player

    The nice thing about this game is, you can play this entire game by yourself offline and its a great experience. I have played almost 30 hours of this game offline, just doing whatever I want.

    I know the game has online, I’m not entirely sure what the online is. I don’t have it so its hard for me to comment on what the online entails.

    Its month from premiere so its a good time to sum up some things. For the start, game was 9/10 for me but after whole moth of playing as "ultimate" copy owner my mark droped down to 6/10. I played a lot of FH3 (something about 80 hours) and in FH4 i have something around 30h. Im more competetive player than casual. For the start, things that i like in Horizon 4:

    -Emoticons and avatar customization, its pretty fresh and i like it. If you dont like it, you can easily ignore it. For me its fun.
    - Team rankeds. For all of you it could be a little controversial but let me explain. I noticed, that players FINALLY get it, there is less amount of rammers than in FH3 BUT there thing is more complicated. I will explain it later.
    - Amazing tracks
    - Skills trees on cars
    - Game is easier. Freeroam is less frustrating (less thing to hit) and there is fewer cases when u can lost your sick skillchains. Cars handling is simpler (+125% CR player here on Elite controller) and its more fun to play and riding around
    - Bots on "Unbeatable" are easier. In FH3 they were STUPIDLY fast on corners. In FH4 they fix that.
    - Seasons are ok, fresh touch.

    Now things that i hate and i noticed, and Polish Community in our official Facebook group.

    - Long time to get into ranked/multiplayer. Are you serious? Its get stupidly long! Where is the reason to wait so long when at all i get into non-classified players? We are already month from premiere and you still dont fix it, thats a shame
    - My +125% CR rank gives nothing in FH4 in multi. I could easily win adventure in FH3 ending in the middle, now its more complicated because of team-only rankeds.
    - Hendicap. Its impossible to win match playing 6 vs 4 (if you are in more numeroes team). If i with my friend end up on 1 and 2 place, we get 450 and 400 points its impossible to win with retards in your team because 3, 4 and 5 place get 400 points. I lost a lot of games like that, and win a lot. Playing in less counted player team is easier, because only bad players rage quiting and you get more points.
    - Second problem, game not updates score points when someone leave in race. 3 of your teammates can leave so you are playing 6 v 3 by rest of the race and there is no way you can win it.
    - I have no idea who thought that will be a good idea to random cross/road and classes.
    - Playground Games need to smoke some good **** the most complicated, curved and tight tracks are in road S2 in winter Season. Good joke folks.
    - Not all cars have winter tyres
    - No championships in singleplayer
    - More grind like in Fh3. I never repeated race in Horizon 3 because i wanted to get something. In FH4 you need to grind to get Goliath, for example. You have a lot of cars taht you like? Grind skillchains
    - Getting more points in skillchains that 600k is pointless. You get 6000 xp points and 10 SP max
    - "Anything Goes" races should named "Anything vs Ford Focus, Audi TT and Chalenger", seriously its nothing fun to being catched up by Ford Focus when u ride your Vulcan 430kmh+. We need more variety here!
    - Glitchers still on top in scoreboards. WTF? Devs didnt know limitations of their own game? Im Software Developer too and i belive, that it can be blocked by software. D100 car and 500kmh+ dont seems to be stupid by Playground Games?
    - Season championships are boring. And that rewards, +5000kr? One super Wheelspin? Devs dont know their own game? 5000kr is nothing here. Why so many cross - championships there? Seriosly, even in ranked i played cross-events most, what the hell? I feel first expansion will be something like Rally in FH1 :v
    - Clubs have no sense. Where is in-club rank? Where is awards for getting exp for your club?
    - Forzathon Live not scaling. You can never end it up in 3 players or end all live in 3 minutes. It depends on how many players join it. You should scale tasks to end
    - Having cars in C, B classes are pointless because of lack of adventures with these classes

    At all, for whole month of playing it looks like reskin of Forza Horizon 3. We get less content, more of them are the same as FH2. We get a little better graphics, seasons and drift tuning. Thats all. The rest of all are less. No community chalenges (in FH4 it calls like singleplayer missions for drift club, YT channel etc, you know what i mean), no championships (it makes single much shorter), you cant choose what you want to play in multiplayer. This game is step back, but i love to playing it, Thats why i posted my thoughts and i belive, devs will fix it in the future and FH5 will be finally something new. For now, its 5/10 for me.     Muito bom. A franquia parecia ter atingido o ápice no 3º jogo, mas eles se superaram! FH4 é MUITO divertido. A pista/mapa é bem variado. Passa-se horas jogando e não nos cansamos. Um dos melhores jogos da geração e sem dúvida o melhor de corridas.

    There are so many things wrong with this game but at its heart it is fun. They need to stop all the BS taking cut scenes, 20 min load screens and stop adding features no one wants. My constant frustration with how slow everything in the game is is why I gave it 1 star. A AAA title can be much better than this.

    Easily the best racing game I've ever played. Scenery is gorgeous, and there may be too many choices for what to drive. The game is a blast. If you have an Xbox and don't own it you're doing yourself a disservice.

    Wheel spins.
    This is just flat out broken! They have added this "dress up your character" and emotes bs that children like. So 80% of the time you get clothes or emotes in wheel spins, not cars. Talk about frustrating when you hope to get a cool new ride to edit and you get... a pair of shoes for your character in a car game???
    Map Size.
    It feels a little smaller then FH3 and it might be because there are far less races to do. I think i beat this entire game in a week, and not rushing at all.
    4 Seasons.
    So the four seasons idea is kinda cool! HOWEVER.... it automatically changes (ya, ya, i know thats how it is real life) but the trouble is if i dont log in at the right time i could miss an entire season! Or it will change while i am in the middle of a lake getting trick points then i sink! (true story!). You should be able to choose a season and join that server.
    1/2 mile race.
    There is none! This was a huuuuuuuge selling point for me in FH3 because everyone and their mother races this track at some point while playing Forza. Well, there is not track in 4! There is some dinky track on the beach (yes, sandy race) but its nothing like that airport on 3.

    All in All i fell ripped off! This seems to be a huge problem today- great games are regurgitated with a few visual updates and minor bs and sold as a new game. I am not impressed with this generation of gaming. There isnt enough new games...Anyway, i wouldnt suggest to anyone to pick up this game because there isnt anything new and there are better open world car games (the crew) and better racing games (forza). And the new "toon editing" and buying a house is just stupid and totally missed its mark for people that love cars! This Forza Horizon 4 just doesnt hit the mark on anything unfortunately.    … Expand

Outre le mode 4K, on a droit aussi (sur la X) à une offre inédite pour un Horizon, à savoir les 60 im/s garanties en 1080p, une offre qu'on ne peut pas refuser ! et une fluidité idéale pour tout jeu de bagnoles qui se respecte.

    Le strass et les paillettes sont donc au rendez-vous mais FH4 demeure un gros jeu d'arcade dont on se lasse plus ou moins rapidement ; la conduite trop simple, trop simpliste a gommé les différences entre les voitures et même les améliorations ne font qu'accélerer la vitesse de défilement du paysage... Si seulement on avait eu la physique d'un Forza Motorsport, on aurait eu la joie et toutes les raisons du monde de déambuler (plus ou moins vite) sur les routes de la campagne anglaise. Hélas...

    Le ton kikoolol des précédents Horizon demeure également : on est ici dans une grosse foire, mélange d'un Need For Speed de beaufs et d'une quelconque Codemasterconnerie annuelle avec par e xemple toujours ces courses super débiles de "cross-country" où on fonce à travers tout jusqu'au point suivant, en grappe avec l'IA revêche et tamponneuse.

    On peut personnaliser son avatar comme on l'entend au fil de la garde-robe farfelue que l'on gagne et débloque mais ce n'est pas tout ! influence kikoololissime oblige, celle de l'infame Fortnite, on peut aussi débloquer des "danses" (sic !)... Nul doute que les gamins de CM2 vont apprécier.

    Entre autres activités stupides, on fera la course contre des trains, des motos ou des hydroglisseurs... on pourra sauter aussi sur des rampes et foncer comme d'habitude dans des pancartes bonus, le collectathon coutumier des Forza Horizon.

    Voilà donc le Forza 4 (Katre) pour Kévin qui râtisse large, très large, vaguement amusant le temps de la découverte mais toujours aussi beau et con à la fois.    … Expand

    Again a little bit better and not because of continuity, but because of two years worth of obvious work. Thanks to that you can drown dozens or hundreds of hours racing on the ground that gave the world Jeremy Clarkson. And yeah, it has a couple of good cars too. [Issue#289]
