    Been playing Fifa for years now.
    I’ll keep this review short & sweet.
    It’s absolutely awful. Passing is completely broken,player switching is completely broken,shooting is completely broken,GK’s are completely broken,commentating is absolutely awful.
    I can’t think of a single thing in this game that’s actually any good?
    Worst Fifa in my memory. Avoid like the plague.

    Disgusting that EA didn't make it clear that there are 2 versions for different gen consoles. Many bought FIFA 22 and couldn't return their non-working copy. EA did this on purpose knowing this. Insidious and disgusting behaviour from the most predatory company in gaming.

    Add to that the fact that this year, again, they've removed even more content, lost more licences and charged you    Disgusting that EA didn't make it clear that there are 2 versions for different gen consoles.     Add to that the fact that this year, again, they've removed even more content, lost more licences and charged you more for the game! No other games do this. Every other game is a free upgrade to next gen.

    Myself and clearly many others, am completely done with FIFA for good. It's just become a lootbox piece of junk.

    If we keep buying this rubbish, we are sending a message to EA that it's acceptable and we have seen EA set the precedence for toxic practices since the very 1st OG Xbox when they wanted to charge for online play despite nobody else charging additional cost for it.

    Not really an upgrade from the previous title in terms of gameplay; it feels clunky, unresponsive and overall very slow for a football game. Didn't have high hopes for this game but was still disappointed.

    FIFA 22 is really good. With new features on career mode like the return of Create a Club and improved gameplay and animations. I can say it's a recommendation.

    Coming from PES. Enjoying first 3 days. But hate after. Online is so toxic. U can t defend against skill moves. All play just players with > 90 pace. So arcade. No construction or similar to real foot. Will wait efootball 22 patch to return.
    NB prix is so high for this bad game. Plz don t buy

    Played the game on 1st October and overall looks good, keepers perform better, passing is smooth, the sound of the net when scoring is so satisfying to hear. Good to see and hear Alex Scott on the game as well. The only negative for me is the dual entitlement to upgrade to the Xbox Series X version of the game is only accessible if you've bought the Ultimate Edition as its not availablePlayed the game on 1st October and overall looks good, keepers perform better, passing is smooth, the sound of the net when scoring is so satisfying to hear. Good to see and hear Alex Scott on the game as well. The only negative for me is the dual entitlement to upgrade to the Xbox Series X version of the game is only accessible if you've bought the Ultimate Edition as its not available with the Standard Edition so you're forced to pay at least an extra £35 if you want the extra features. Hopefully EA changes that so players with the Standard Edition can upgrade too but its hard to say at this time.… Expand

    FIFA is far from perfect. But it's much better than eFootball this year. My biggest complaint is, as usual, wasting money on Ultimate Team.

    This year's FIFA has some features that seemed quite interesting. Creating a club for career mode is my favorite feature so far. You can create a uniform, design a stadium, choose your team's overall rating... The gameplay is slower than last    FIFA is far from perfect. But it's much better than eFootball this year. My biggest complaint is, as usual, wasting money on Ultimate Team.

    Nothing changed on Career Mode again, gameplay isn’t as fluid, plenty of bugs. I honestly regret buying this game. EA has done it again

    I actually like the fifa games, but this has so many problems it's unreal. The main one being i can't get it to load past the title screen after dozens of attempts and an uninstall.

    Luckily i played this via the game pass and really enjoyed it, but i've not been able to get it working again since and have given up a few weeks later, was hoping an update would fix it, but not the case sadly.

    I don't buy this trash anymore. I stopped buy fifa games in 2018. My last game was FIFA 19. i knew that more efforts and focus will now be on XBOX SERIES X/PS5. I own Xbox One but I won't buy a game with only roster updates. Infact EA should also give Xbox One/PS4 more efforts because they have bigger community than PS5/SERIES X.

    Player Carrer Mode: As much I would like to say it's amazing, It's not.
    The Training is broken, It's way too OP and can easily get you back on the squad with no problems,

    Objectives are the hardest things or pointless things. As you get into the Starting XI it's no big deal. But when starting out you may find yourself having trouble getting into the First team because the objectives knock you back.

    The Skill Tree: it's nice to have but basically takes out the accomplishments. Which is fine but it's too easy to level up, I got to max level 25 in just 2 seasons. And you can't grow anymore without the tree, meaning getting to 90 OVR may be impossible.

    The Mode has a future but still isn't great.

    VOLTA: VOLTA is always not talked about so I'll make it quick. VOLTA is basically the same as last year expect they added VOLTA Arcade which is fun. BUT THEY ONLY MADE IT SO YOU CAN PLAY IT ON WEEKENDS? I don't get why they did this as it's the mode best feature.

    VOLTA is still useless.

    Gameplay: Jesus christ, the gameplay this year is a badly ported version of next-gen. It doesn't feel right as sometimes and the AI can easily take advantage. The game still has scripting, they can be 2008 Derby and then turn into 2011 Barcelona at any point in the game, your AI's are still crap and still do stupid sh*t when defending and CM's still don't track back and help unless you aid them.
    Need i say more?

    Online: I haven't played online except for VOLTA. I'll come back to this soon.

    Pro Clubs: They did nothing with this mode, the same thing as player career mode with the skill points a new splash of paint.

    Recap: Sadly FIFA 22 on last-gen isn't the improvement we hoped for. It's a Waterdown lazy edition of the Next-Gen port, I will not be buying FIFA 23 on Xbox one as this console will be forgotten soon by EA.

    It's getting a 3/10 right now, it may improve soon, but for now please do better.

    the most pay to win game that i have ever seen so far. delay in this game is massive. delay to pass, delay to shot, delay to tackle, delay to move the player. opening packs with your money is the only way that you can have 200k plus player that moves fast, pass the ball not so fast and with the help of AI he'll do the work for you. and thats not enough, you must have much more 200k plusthe most pay to win game that i have ever seen so far. delay in this game is massive. delay to pass, delay to shot, delay to tackle, delay to move the player. opening packs with your money is the only way that you can have 200k plus player that moves fast, pass the ball not so fast and with the help of AI he'll do the work for you. and thats not enough, you must have much more 200k plus players to be able to compete and of course gameplay is garbage as always no matter what team or player you have. at this point it is an insult to our intelligence if we keep buying this crappy game.… Expand

    if you buy the standard edition you can't upgrade to next-gen even paying, such a OBSCENE policy has never been seen, as far as I'm concerned EA is dead for me, to say the least!

    I have literally played FIFA since college in the early 90's. If memory serves, that was pre-Xbox, when we'd play on Sega. I seriously DESPISE this iteration of FIFA. No joke, FIFA 22 is the worst version I have EVER played in my life.

    I have never lost more games in Fifa, due to be effing unable to complete passes. They completely jacked up, screwed up, effed up the passing where it is so backwards and nonsensical, it is ridiculous. You can literally be pointing straight down to pass to a guy on your team who is located directly below you on the screen and is a pass that should legit be completed 100% of the time, yet the stupid system will pass to a guy directly left or right of you if you don't press the button for the proper length of time.

    To change the passing mechanics so much, where the passing you have been doing for years and years and years is suddenly irrelevant, and you magically and suddenly suck for some reason? It is disgusting.

    It is not just the passing. The shooting is horrific. I just got done playing a game of "Seasons", and I had 70% possession to the other dude's 30%. I had 20 shots to his 5 shots. I am not kidding you, I lost 5 to 0. Of course, playing PSG this year is like playing a freaking All Star team... but you can DOMINATE a game, where you have shot after shot, and it hits the goalkeeper.

    The counterattack is impossible to stop, just get the ball and do a long pass to Mbappe or Messi, and you can get dominated and still win. ANYone can score off the stupid and repeated keeper 1-on-1's... but teams load the box. I tried to be patient, and finally when I get guys in the box, EVERY danged shot HITS THE KEEPER.

    I am not a bad player. Last year, I spent most of the season anywhere from Division 2 to Division 5, kind of up and down between those. This year is a JOKE. Fifa is one of a handful of games I play any more, I'm getting older... but this? I am taking the disc, and going to shatter it into 1,000 pieces. I DESPISE it. HORRIBLE.     Fifa 22 is the new generation of sports games. You can make your own team in career mode. Perfect for offline users. So, my rating on this new generation of games is 9.5 or 10! Thanks

    p.s I've been playing since fifa 16 so I know what I'm talking about.

There is no such a thing all your defenders are either trying to play striker and attack, they are righting each other and the goalkeeper for ball, or when they do get a ball they try to see who the most not open teammate is and make a perfect pass to the opposing team. Goalkeepers are also so bad I can’t **** use my brain. Every time someone above a 90 overall shoots they are like Deshaun Watson when a girl is at there door. Let’s everyone and every ball in. I swear they are the horniest players In the game. Every time a player is on a one on one with them they go over there to give them the Steven Hawking Gawk Gawk 3000 special. A **** goose could play better at there position. Lastly the offense I can’t think straighter than a circle when I see my offense in attack. They love passing the ball to the other team. Every single time it’s a 1v1 with a goalie they kick it to the stands. I can’t stand this buffoonery. But I can still at least take all of this. The number one thing that pisses me off is the one and only Monke Aka Mbappe. He is so over powered. He can shoot from basically anywhere and the goalkeeper doesn’t even attemp to even look which side of the net the ball is going. All in all please don’t waste your money on this game. If you have gamepass don’t wast your storage on this OJ Simpson of a game. Yet I still play it every day, why idk but when fifa 23 comes out and the game is still this **** I’m burning my Xbox. At least it will be free from this fifa torture… Expand

    Volta was fun until 21. The Volta brings super powers that spoiled the game, no more realism. Do the nexts Volta mode look like same way like Volta 20 and 21.

    After many hours spent on the next-gen version of FIFA 22 (PS5-Xbox Series) and its old-gen bent, the conclusion is there: PC, Xbox One and PS4 players will have a version with the flaws of the new generation, but cut off from its strengths.
