The puzzles themselves are clever, the music is great, the old school challenge is refreshing and the world-building entertaining. It’s just tied up in a package that doesn’t work particularly well on the Xbox One. If you want to play this, I’d recommend waiting for a price drop. I would also consider playing on the PC, as the keyboard and mouse might be a better fit.

If you want a challenge, I guess that does the trick. But still, if it’s a challenge you’re after, you should be getting it from what’s going on in the game, rather than battling with basic settings. Far-Out may have a good game buried somewhere deep inside, but to get to it you have to fight through all kinds of poor design choices. You’re better off just replaying Alien: Isolation again, and getting a much improved version of what this game is trying to be.

It's one of the best one I ever tried in my whole life because you are actually free you suffer your own actions plus there's millions of different possibility's you can just click the wrong button and loose your hope to escape from ship or start a fire. You basically playing to build your own story which makes this game unique. Game play mechanics feels like Hand Simulator bit hard to control things around you but the levels are unique and repayable plus there is hidden things around the ship that you can discover. Since there's full freedom actions play there's many different end game possibility's so the game never ends the same or you can just do different things next time you play and discover different things in the game. This kind of games are unique be cause most of the story based games are one time to play if you enjoyed it like hell maybe you can play 2 times at most. But the ones have different endings each time and all your actions are free you are not sticking to any scenario such as Far-Out Selene can be played 10 times at least with out getting bored. I highly recommend this masterpiece for whom enjoys the room escape games! Full Review »
