This game gets a 10 because a risk of a game like this, that ends up delivering beyond belief the way that it did, needs to be recognized. I had zero expectations with this title because the premise sounded odd and the tracklist seemed to completely counteract the fantasia title and reputation that came with it. I couldn't have been more wrong. Yes, this game has Bruno Mars, Drake, Lorde and other shruggers but the remixes in this game make you not care one bit. They are incredibly interesting and performed very well. Plus, the motions used in this game feel so natural its hard to explain. It's like playing Elite Beat Agents with your whole body and that was one of the best DS games I've ever played.

The cool ways you compose songs by interacting with animals and environments is the highlight for me honestly. You conduct these melodies that act as themes for different worlds and the way you do it feels right at home with the Disney license.

I have played a few music games in the past, so I am familiar with what's out there. I was really hesitant to play this since the Kinect doesn't have the best reputation... boy was I surprised. This game is incredible and goes far beyond simple beat matching, it's really a trippy, weird, fun experience that words can't quite capture. You get to explore each world and actually transform the world into music! When you play a song, you can make it your own by changing the instrumentation to something usually way cooler than the original! The box says 30 something songs, but it's really over 90 with all the remixes, and so far they are insanely good. If you love music, or exploration then you have to check this out! My brother brought his 8 year old over and he was freaking out, so much fun! I think the negative reviews of this game are from people who probably didn't even play it, or they don't "get it"... Walt would be proud of this musical experience. People forget that big band and classical music WAS POP back in the days that the original Fantasia was made... Expand

The song choices keep it interesting to play the story and I was pleasantly surprised how fun it was to go from the Police to Mozart and then to Lorde and Queen. This was the most fun I've had with Kinect at any time and it is seamless and effortless controls. As was the case with Rock Band and Guitar Hero, calibration is important. I highly recommend this title to any fan of the music game genre. Expand

    Music is life.
    I feel a music man.

I bought the digital deluxe copy on day one based on the demo. It was worth every single penny. Incredible technical example of good Kinect integration. 100% fun and you can try it out for free via the demo if you don't believe me. Fantasia is a positively wonderful gaming experience. The gamer interacts with the music in creative, intuitive and fun ways. Friends of mine, who would never play a dance/rhythm game, enjoyed playing Fantasia as much as I did. The only negative I've found is that some songs are locked from multiplayer play until you've unlocked them in the career mode. If you really like music games, this is for you. It's gorgeous and extremely fun! If you're also looking for a nice decent Kinect game, I'd say Fantasia it's the best to use the sensor so far on Xbox One. The commands are very precise! The gameplay is much more fun than any Guitar Hero ou Rock Band game, with the possibility to change mix while playing a music!

Fantasia is one of the best games for Kinect 2 ever made. It can be fun and beautiful at one time, it is worth buying it. Excellent game and something different for a change, there is a demo on Xbox Live to try out and it really is worth downloading to get an idea of the game.

Fantasia’s gameplay is fresh and unbelievably addictive. More songs would be welcome, but I suppose Disney’s going to flood us with gazillion DLCs. [01/2015, p.63]

By the end of my time with Disney Fantasia: Music Evolved, my arms were aching, and my shoulders were stiff, but I had had a great time.

With Fantasia: Music Evolved Harmonix delivers a great mix of music and dancing games. To fill the screen with fireworks and music by waving your arms is incredibly fun and addicting. Unfortunately Kinect is not always reliable and you will regularly miss notes for no reason. Luckily that does not prevent Fantasia from being one of the best Kinect games so far.
