    Family Feud is inspired by the game show currently hosted by Steve Harvey “FAMILY FEUD” and has players try to guess how 100 people answered simple survey questions answered them. Guessing the most popular answers earns points for your family, but bad guesses earns you a strike, and you know what happens when you get three of those. While people can play this solo, it ike the TV show thatFamily Feud is inspired by the game show currently hosted by Steve Harvey “FAMILY FEUD” and has players try to guess how 100 people answered simple survey questions answered them. Guessing the most popular answers earns points for your family, but bad guesses earns you a strike, and you know what happens when you get three of those. While people can play this solo, it ike the TV show that inspired it is the most fun when you play with others. Or just a group of randoms in multiplayer matches. While it does a good job of recreating the TV show, this trivia contest really only works when you're not alone on the couch interacting with close friends or family. Again while Based on the TV show, Family Feud has you seeking the most popular answers to a given question minus the hosts that made or didn’t make this show the hit it is today, and then trying to guess the most popular answers. Like the show, correct answers earn you points, while incorrect ones earn you a strike, and a chance for your opponents to take control. But unlike the show, the family that goes to the final "Fast Money" round is the one who gets to 300 points first, and you don't need to build a sound-proof room in your house for Grandma to go sit in while your bestie takes their turn. You also don't yell out your answer, but instead, you type them in using your game controller, though the game does give you best guess options after you've entered a couple letters which helps in some cases. This trivia contest is best played with family members or friends sitting next to you but for those wondering the content is child friendly unlike some of the content that draws some of it’s watchers of the TV series. Things get interesting when this is played with a large group of people, assuming they're not a sore loser, understand the game, and yell out funny answers they know you'd never actually use for some extra laughs. You can even play against other families online, or on such streaming services as Twitch and YouTube, when you don't feel like playing against the computer. On your own, though, this can get a bit repetitive and tiresome after just a few hours. That's not just because the made-up host, is not my personal favorite Richard Dawson, nor the hilarious Steve Harvey. However for people who enjoy the show, and have a group of like-minded friends and family nearby, Family Feud will have you eagerly looking forward to your Xbox One play sessions.… Expand

    It’s not hard to screw up Family Feud… the formula is there, all you have to do is follow it. And this game does that fairly well. I especially appreciated how all of the predictive text answers are yelled by the host when he points to the board, just like the game show. It’s just too bad it’s not Richard Dawson, Ray Combs, or Steve Harvey.

    No, the severe flaw in this game is an extremely obvious function the developers completely failed to include… YOU CAN’T SKIP ANYTHING!!! You can’t skip cut scenes, you can’t skip lines of spoken dialogue, you can’t skip animations… It’s insanely infuriating. That’s one the biggest insults I can imagine as a gamer – when you can read the subtitles faster than the character is speaking, but you can’t skip ahead, and are forced to listen to the rest of it at the speed the character is talking. To anyone with the reading skills of an 8th grader or better, this is just flat-out annoying.

    Even at the discounted price of $10, the slow pace you are forced to experience the game at is still a huge turn-off. The only positive comment I can make about it is "Oh well... at least it's kinda like really being on the show, and experiencing everything in real time".

    Except I don't play video games to experience things in real time. That's called "life", And one rule in life? UNSKIPPABLE CUTSCENES IN VIDEO GAMES ARE UNFORGIVABLE. In fact, I think I might get that tattooed on my lower back as a tramp stamp one day. It would be well worth it... I just wish Ubisoft would get one too.    … Expand

    Family Feud on Xbox brings that Saturday evening gameshow vibe straight to your home. A huge library of questions, combined with a relatively fair price at launch, means there’s good value in this party game. The different modes cater for almost every situation, even for the cold winter nights on your own, and the fact it can enable 10 players to play using a single controller is music to the ears. It’s only really held back by the bizarre questions that pop up a little too frequently, a lack of imaginative items to buy, and dated looking models.

    As far as quiz-based party games go, Family Feud is solid. It’s put together very well and manages to capture the feel of being on a gameshow better than most. It’s of course more fun if you have friends over, but it’s a welcome touch that you can play solo if you want. With the holidays just around the corner and family gatherings (hopefully) on the horizon, Family Feud is a worthwhile party game to add to your collection.
