Fallout Shelter is a fun and entertaining game that comes to Xbox One with content full of variety, as the mobile version. It can be downloaded completely free and has Play Anywhere functionality. It is a must have for those who like this kind of game even though the control is less intuitive and it is harder to use than a touch screen.

Fallout Shelter is a game that shows its mobile roots quite strongly. The graphics, although simple, are in the signature Fallout style that oozes charm and get the job done effectively. The sight of two dwellers, both in nightwear to maximise their Charisma, doing the dance of love and then running off to the bedroom is enough to bring a smile to most peoples faces.

Fun at first, but could've been so much more. Full Review »

As an Xbox One game thats FREE i shouldn't have to pay money in order to stand a fighting chance. This game is just not for me and overall it is just bad. Full Review »

Initially I had a great time setting up my vault and being rewarded for doing the things you need to do to have a happy and thriving vault. After a few days though I started to realize that the game is set up to DESTROY all your hard work, and there is nothing you can do about it.

While in your vault there is no way to upgrade the door enough to stop the bad guys from getting in....and trust me, they are going to get in your vault. You will have to spend at least 20 hours of game play just go get weapons strong enough to defend your vault without burning through a TON of stimpacks (I've used up to 30 before in a single attack on my vault). It takes roughly 20 minutes for the average player to get those stimpack back. Are we having fun yet.

The rewards for doing quests can be wonderful as well, but if you average it out you are going to spend just as much Nuka Colas getting to your destination then you will ever be able to bring back to your vault. What is the point of it, except to get people to spend real $$$.

Now that you have reached level 30-50 with your dwellers you now will be spending 30-40 stimpacks per mission if you want to complete them. YEAH, you read that right. I have level 50 characters that STILL DIE like they are level 30, and they have MAXED SPECIAL stats. Doesn't matter though, even with 30+ stimpacks.

Finally the radscorpion attacks on you vault is so overpowered that I can have max resources with 6 dwellers shooting the beast with 15 damage (3x stronger than a mid-level weapons) and he isn't going to die for 3 minutes. Doesn't matter how hard you hit the guy, it is a timed event to SUCK away your resources and to KILL your dwellers.

It feels like the game is set up to make you lose, and has gotten less and less fun as I play it. I do not recommend this *free* game and for this my opinion of Bethesda has diminished.
