I enjoyed the style they went with when it came to the presentation side of things because both the visuals and sound design create some immersive feeling. The strategy elements in the game have been done really well and at times you really do have to think what to do which makes winning very rewarding. In terms of content the game has a decent amount for you to be getting on with and ifI enjoyed the style they went with when it came to the presentation side of things because both the visuals and sound design create some immersive feeling. The strategy elements in the game have been done really well and at times you really do have to think what to do which makes winning very rewarding. In terms of content the game has a decent amount for you to be getting on with and if you’re a fan of card games you’ll no doubt be satisfied with the content. There are a number of different cards for you to collect and this not only gives the game some replay ability but it also makes it very addictive as well. There’s a huge amount of grinding you have to do in order to progress at times unless you pay to progress. At times the game didn’t always feel as balanced as it should, and that did annoy me a bit at times. You have to pay for certain items and the price is way too high for some of these items. I’ve never been a huge fan of card games because they do get repetitive quite quickly and they do lack in terms of excitement in my opinion. I do however like games that are free so of course I was prepared to give Eternal Card Game a go, and thankfully I’m glad I did. Don’t get me wrong it’s far from being perfect and in order to get the full experience you do have to pay quite a lot, but the content that is available to you is actually pretty decent. In fact the content can be that good at times that you’ll find yourself getting addicted pretty quickly especially if you’re a fan of these types of games. I will say though that the game could’ve been a little more balanced and the grinding is quite severe so expect to get frustrated every now and then. That being said I was able to look past these issues because the strategy elements and cards you use in the game have tons of variety so even though these issues persist you will find yourself returning back to the game time and time again. At the end of the day then Eternal Card Game is easy to recommend because it features an easy to pick up and play style and in terms of F2P games it actually offers you a fun and enjoyable experience. Great card game and one of the only type of game on console. The game is continually releasing new content to keep the game fresh. There are a lot of matchups available via online matchmaking. It’s a really enjoyable game. Build your deck and play. Similar to Magic and Hearthstone but this is the best card game I’ve played recently. Recommended.

Eternal is a proper tactical card game experience, borrowing elements of Magic and Hearthstone, before adding its own little quirks into play to create an exciting pick up and play type affair that’s free.

Eternal offers a pretty decent strategy card game at its core. However, the game’s monetary structure greatly holds it back, being that the game is chock-full of paywalls and microtransactions. This is normally acceptable for a free-to-play experience, but there needs to be a fair middle ground between grinding and expenditure. That sadly isn’t present here. You’re either all in or all out, for the most part.
