On your way through Scotland, your carriage loses a wheel. Your introduced to the games mechanics by having to collect items and repair the wheel. One at the party a demon abducts the little girl and your sent on a mission to save her. This tale is meant to be a horror title, but it really doesn't qualify as scarry, unless mayby you are a young player and easily startled. The animations are phenomenal, smooth and clean and meshing well with the environments. The music keep tight the the creepy ambiance the game is trying to maintain. The puzzles aren't anything that will hurt your brain, but the are entertaining none the less. The hidden objects sections were less often than I expected, and featured wonderfully illustrated backgrounds, and sections you got to see closer and with better detail. As with all HOPA games, you have limited inventory and the game tends to get it quite full at times. The voice acting is decent, and doesn't detract from the game. Boss fights were all the same kind of puzzle, but felt engaging. Endless Fables Dark Moor delivers its story well, and fans of this genre should enjoy it's almost four hours of gameplay. Expand

Endless Fables: Dark Moor on Xbox One does itself no favours by claiming horror and scares as a feature because, ultimately, it loses steam in that department after a single scary moment. Fortunately the mini-games are of a good standard and the hidden object scenes are enjoyable to scour.
