    Dynasty Warriors is back and quite frankly it is very well known for its sometimes hilariously camp English voice acting, but recent instalments have featured decent work. However, this isn't the case with Dynasty Warriors 9 which has thrown all the old voices out the window. Now it sounds like dozens of characters have been voiced by two different people. Many of the new voices barely fitDynasty Warriors is back and quite frankly it is very well known for its sometimes hilariously camp English voice acting, but recent instalments have featured decent work. However, this isn't the case with Dynasty Warriors 9 which has thrown all the old voices out the window. Now it sounds like dozens of characters have been voiced by two different people. Many of the new voices barely fit the characters that they're assigned to, and the delivery is very often painful. It's so bad at times that it goes beyond being a joke and simply cheapens the overall experience (Resident Evil on PS1 comes to mind). Thankfully, Japanese and even Chinese dubs are included for your enjoyment. Dynasty Warriors has been on a steady run since Dynasty Warriors 7, and now it's on a slight decline again. Dynasty Warriors 9 goes open world and the result is a game of extreme ups and downs. For every gloriously huge battle there's a boring stint of traversal across a dreadfully barren map. For every interesting story moment or interaction, there's a horribly ugly graphical glitch. Factor in an unconvincing combat system that's been overhauled, and you've got a Dynasty Warriors title that may or may not disappoint the most dedicated of fans. There's still some good historical hack and slash fun to be had here, so I give it a thumbs up for those that are fans of the series.… Expand

    Here are my thoughts on dynasty warriors 9 on xbox one x.
    First off the framerate is terrible for the dated look of the game(early 360). There are so many bugs at launch it feels lime the game is unfinished ie:textures not loading/taking to long to load,
    entire bases and armies not loading or dissapear when you get close, The voice acting is dire and ai is terrible. The map is huge but    Here are my thoughts on dynasty warriors 9 on xbox one x.

    While DW9 was clearly polarising fot many players, I liked it. The core thing I loved about this Musou is here. Great compat, good ptogression, a good cast of badarse men and hot woman to choose from, giving plenty of otion on who to play. There is empty space, like almost every moder game, but there always something to do. .. The game looks and runs great on Xbox x

    Before giving my honest opinion on DW9, I would like to say something about Metacritic. Guys, I certainly understand everything, but you shouldn't take other players for idiots. If you have corrected the rating of the game, then everything is very clear on Steam, and honest reviews of other players cannot be erased there, so your trading activity will not hide the truth.

    And the truth is that DW9 is the smallest game in the entire main line. If there were questions to other parts (sometimes), and DW3 was just a masterpiece of its time among the created slashers, then DW9 is the sunset of the Dynasty and a very shameful one at that. There are a lot of elements in the game, and absolutely all of them are either broken, do not work as they should, or they do not save.

    Many with someone that the game is broken and has terrible optimization. Yes, it's true, but it's scary, not even that, but the fact that the graphics are at the level of a 2007 game, and that I can name a dozen games from 2007 that are better written than DW9. The animations are just terrible, the open world is empty and lifeless, like any graphic component. The music in the game is good, but not epic enough, as in rare parts. Many complain about the voice acting of features, they say, it is terrible, here I do not agree. Firstly, the game has 3 sound roads to choose from - English, Japanese and Chinese. Secondly, there are a lot of actors in the English voice acting, and their voices seemed organic to me. The problem is not in the voice but in the text. All the text in the game is written by mediocre graphomania who does not know how to script, from the word at all.

    The game still has a lot of problems, but the root problem is the gameplay. Destroying threats and secretions with them is dull, and few in number, they also cause their AI to be at a very low level, which is why you don’t get any pleasure from excretions with them.

    This is the end of the franchise, but I hope it's for the best. Glory to Ukraine!    … Expand

    In response to reviewers constantly saying that the Warriors series had gotten stale and too repetitive in recent years. Koei Tecmo decided to release a buggy open world mess of a game instead. Your move critics!

    Pase del juego toda la generación pasada y no me arrepiento, jugándolo en una series x ahora esta excelente, no hay bajones de frames, muy bien fluido todo, me encanta su historia desde siempre, su mundo abierto, esta bien para ser la primera vez, mi única queja es que no tienes previsualizaciones de caballos, mascotas etc..... y sus misiones segundarias están algo sosas, es un mundoPase del juego toda la generación pasada y no me arrepiento, jugándolo en una series x ahora esta excelente, no hay bajones de frames, muy bien fluido todo, me encanta su historia desde siempre, su mundo abierto, esta bien para ser la primera vez, mi única queja es que no tienes previsualizaciones de caballos, mascotas etc..... y sus misiones segundarias están algo sosas, es un mundo gigante pero muy vacio.… Expand

    While not quite an unmitigated disaster, Dynasty Warriors 9 is pretty bad. Even if you can live with the subpar presentation, the game quickly gets boring due to a lack of important or interesting things that can be done in the world. The combat is fine, but with fewer opportunities to use it, the button-mashing joy inherent in the series is nowhere to be found.

    Even though the story holds a ton of content for those interested in the narrative adventure, the lack of fan favourite modes, the unnecessary crafting system, the constant repetitive nature and the boredom of a map that is unpopulated across large areas means Dynasty Warriors 9 is more of a step back than a progressive improvement.
