Probably one of the best expansions ever for a game. I think as of late, most developers have forgotten how to do DLC right, and Techland is one of the few who understand that DLC is not just bits and pieces that a player doesn't give a c**p about. The Following is huge (maybe the size of Kyrat minus the extensive vertical exploration). The change in setting and map design makes this feelProbably one of the best expansions ever for a game. The Following is huge (maybe the size of Kyrat minus the extensive vertical exploration). The change in setting and map design makes this feel completely different from the main game's maps. The following offers an interesting story with lot of content, and with Main story+free roam+side content, you are looking at about 20-30 hrs of game play. Great value for the money. Expand

Love it. Not a perfect game, but a superb addition to the original story line. Dying Light is a one of a kind video game so it's nice to have an add-on that really changes the pace, and Techland nailed it. Thank you, Techland, for an awesome DLC at a fair price!

Dying Light The Following Enhanced Edition
    More than just DLC
Techland had some guts making The Following just an expansion Dying Light The Following Continues the story of Kyle Crane Not only is this expansion a direct sequel to Dying Light, it’s the conclusion of Kyle Cranes Story and there are multiple endings. The Following does feel like an expansion, but delivered differently

Dying Light The Following Continues the story of Kyle Crane
Not only is this expansion a direct sequel to Dying Light, it’s the conclusion of Kyle Cranes Story
    and there are multiple endings.
The Following does feel like an expansion, but delivered differently and this could have been a full-fledged game…
There is easily over 10 hours of content here.
This expansion takes place in the country side, the map is huge, quests can be thousands of kilometers apart
luckily for you the following introduces a buggy to the game
The buggy has its own skill tree and its own craftable parts…
You get parts and fuel from gas stations and broken down cars…
You get xp by running over zombies and driving fast…
The buggy is a great edition to dying light and makes traversing the country side a blast..
At least while things are close by…
because ultimately the level design makes the buggy gameplay not so fun…
There’s a trophy called “I don’t approve of mindless fun” in the game, and this is apparent with how the world seems like it was designed specifically to slow you down, waste your time, and hinder fun…
You can’t go far until you make it to a bridge clogged with cars, mountains or rivers you can’t drive over or through…
They give you an awesome tool to have fun with then take it away with all of the roadblocks, turning this back into what dying light was... a chore…
The story here is a little weird and based on some sun religion, you’re investigating because they’ve been able to stop infected from turning into zombies, so you want this cure, but to get close to the inner circle you have to help out the children of the sun, aka everyone that lives in the countryside
Side quests are mandatory here, but not all of them.. you get to pick and choose…
This is a little disappointing because some of the side quests I did are tied to characters I cared about and feel like these quests can too easily be missed by non completionists, and that they won’t really get to the meat of the story…
I would have much rather seen a story with no side quests..scrapping the liberating and clearing volatile nests, and just deliver a branching story… which they could have done.. they have all of the quests here to do that…
Had they delivered this way, the following would have ultimately felt like a $60 game rather than just a giant map with some stuff you can check out if you want…
This expansion was so close to matching the level of Dying light for 1/3 of the price
Dying Light The Following can be fun at times,
but techland are against that sort of thing,
I give Dying The Following Enhanced Edition
    a 7.5/10

Dying Light is one of the most UNDER RATED games of all time, and with these new additions such as an upgradable buggy which handles extremely well and some new guns and a cross bow & in saying this would have to go down in my TOP 10 games of all time! Techland deserve a BIG PAT ON THE BACK. The parkour & combat is FLAWLESS and FLUID and the Grapple hook is a fun & fast way to get around if you dont feel like exploring by car or on foot. This is pretty much how a ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE would play out in real life if it were to happen. There's a lot of BANG FOR YOUR BUCK with Dying Light and With the ENHANCED EDITION is now the complete package. Thanks Techland, A JOB WELL DONE & please bring out a SEQUEL. Expand

DLC? More like Dying light 2, really good add on if I must say. I love this game even without this ace DLC, worth the money and time I put in to completing this. Bring us more DLC!!!!

Amazing expansion for an already amazing game. There are a few quirks like a grindish feel sometimes or the extreme difficulty when taking out the hives. You almost have to have a friend help to take out the hives, which really is not a bad thing, but I like to play alone for the most part. Other than that, the story in the expansion is really good and kept me interested throughout, theAmazing expansion for an already amazing game. Overall I loved it and truly appreciate the developers for their continued support a year after release and cannot wait for what the future brings for this new franchise. Expand

In my opinion this was the game of the year. At one point we got hit with a lot of zombie games, honestly this is the one for me. Great combat, great graphics, scary atmosphere, & the character has many hours of improvements that unlocks new abilities. I highly recommend. Most underrated game of its time

Granted, this is a generous expansion for an already fantastic game. The Following has all the right ideas but fails to execute them. One of the original games biggest attraction was the near flawless parkour system, which was massive fun to tinker with, but in The Following it pretty much renders it useless. This is the level of ‘DLC’ other publishers and developers should be offering post-release.

The Following content itself - whether bought separately or as part of the new Enhanced Edition - offers a very different but yet worthy test, with the open fields and buggy opening up a completely different set of rules to exploit and best the legions of undead.

The Following is a huge expansion that swaps the ruined city for the rugged countryside, but loses none of the desperate thrills of the original campaign.
