There have been some very good button mashers over the years and the main reason why they’ve been good is because they’ve been fun and enjoyable. Deadbeat Heroes is fun and enjoyable sometimes but unfortunately it doesn’t happen enough. I was however very impressed with the combat in the game and it’s surprisingly very exciting when building up a massive combo. The game however is far too difficult and when you get to the later levels it really does feel impossible to complete which means you get frustrated a lot. Another thing that frustrated me is when you complete a level it sends you straight back to the main menu and you have to rejoin the game each time, which in turn annoys you quite a bit. Without a shadow of a doubt the best way to enjoy this game is when you play it in local co-op. Me and my friends had an incredible amount of fun with the different enemies, and the variation in the enemies keeps things fresh and exciting. The variation doesn’t occur throughout the game though and that is evident in the level design, which unfortunately is a little basic and generic. The presentation side of the game is something that I really enjoyed because it has an unusual look that makes the game stand out. This unusual look is especially seen in the visuals, and the art style here definitely tickled my fancy. The sound design is more basic than the visuals but it does just enough to complement the gameplay. At the end of the day I can’t help but feel that Deadbeat Heroes could have been so much better. Don’t get me wrong it isn’t a bad game by any means, but it’s a game that is unfortunately average when it could have been very good. The niggling problems do harm the fun and enjoyabilty the game gives you, but there is just enough fun here to get a small recommendation from me. Expand

For $14.99 I really don't feel comfortable recommending that you pick up Deadbeat Heroes. While the humor is mediocre at best, I haven't witnessed so much failing since the new Star Wars movie (and yes, that is my opinion of that too). Deadbeat Heroes offers little in terms of gameplay enjoyment, meaningful quest experiences, absent replayability, and offers a militaristic dictatorship hold over progress and failure where you end your gaming experience more angry than overjoyed. This game would be a considerable pick up if it were priced at $4.99, but at $14.99 I can't recommend subjecting yourself through the forced aggravation that Deadbeat Heroes brings to the table.

Deadbeat Heroes is a 3D action game, we are members of a superhero crew, and we our job is try to save the city of London, which is threatened by a group of villains. Our superhero can use a good variety of powers to fight an defeat all their enemies. Action and explosions are guaranteed.

An original brawler with a funny English humor and an acrobatics-based combat system. It ends up being a bit too repetitive and with an uninspired level design, but it's definitely capable of delivering an handful of hours of entertainment.
