Be in no doubt, there is a lot of game in this small package, but it will ask a lot of you. If you can invest the time, it will reward you, but it’s a bit too deep for its own good as far as casual players are concerned.

Thankfully Dead Exit has been done right and it’s a very good addition to a depleted genre. The strategy in the game has been done to perfection and what I love most about the strategy used is that no game ever plays the same. I was also very impressed with the mechanics that were used in the game, and some of the mechanics definitely have a unique feel which in turn keeps things fresh and interesting throughout. I will say however that the game can be a little too complicated at times and it does take some getting used to, but to combat that they’ve made it accessible to all gamers. They have made it accessible by putting in a number of difficulty settings, and the best thing is that each setting plays considerably different. The best way to enjoy this game is when playing with friends, and thankfully the game allows you to play with friends in local and online play. There is also a solo mode but unfortunately this is no where near as fun when played alone, but thankfully the online works pretty well which is a bonus. The presentation side of the game definitely has a certain charm going for it, and it certainly tickled my fancy. The visuals and sound design are simple in design but they both do a good job of enhancing the gameplay. At the end of the day it’s been a good while since I enjoyed a decent card game that was until I played Dead Exit. Dead Exit is a game that takes the card game formula and at times puts its own unique twist on things, and the most important thing is that it works. It works so well that I’m actually pretty addicted to the game, and the best thing is that I’ve still not become bored. Fans of card games will love this and I urge anybody who likes these types of games to purchase it. Full Review »
