    De Blob is a game that has stood the test of time, and you don’t realise that the game is nearly ten years old because its aged very well and it still provides you with a great deal of enjoyment. Something that has been evident in all the other game’s in the series is the amount of replay value they have, and thankfully the case remains the same here with an abundance of hours for you toDe Blob is a game that has stood the test of time, and you don’t realise that the game is nearly ten years old because its aged very well and it still provides you with a great deal of enjoyment. Something that has been evident in all the other game’s in the series is the amount of replay value they have, and thankfully the case remains the same here with an abundance of hours for you to enjoy. Whilst I love the amount of replay value there is I would have also liked a little more in the way of progression because that would have kept things fresh. The gameplay though is as fun as ever and once again the platforming has been done to perfection remaining responsive and most importantly fun throughout. The colour mechanic is also spot on again and using this mechanic in the vast amount of missions you can do never seems to get boring or stale, which is great. I did however feel the level design could have done with a little more variety here and there, and I also think they should have made the stages a little shorter because some feel like they go on forever. Kids however will love how long the game goes on for and they’ve done a fantastic job of making the game accessible for gamers of all ages. The presentation side of the game has aged incredibly well in my opinion. Visually the colours dotted all over the place look great and the soundtrack really surprised me because it’s actually pretty decent to listen to, which is awesome. At the end of the day fans of De Blob will love this new adaptation of it, and once again you’ll fall in love with it. It does suffer with a few niggling problems every now and then but you will forget about them pretty quickly because the game offers you fun and enjoyability at every turn. What amazes me most with De Blob is that even after all these years it’s still fun to play and nothing has changed here so it gets a big thumbs up from me.… Expand

    Tiens, l’infâme petit étron merdique a débarqué aussi sur consoles PSOne en version plus ou moins remastérisée si l’on peut dire (au moins pour la résolution) mais se révèle fidèle à lui-même, c’est-à-dire toujours aussi nul à chier des briques et des parpaings.

    D’ailleurs, à propos de couleurs, toi le Blob qui aimes ça les couleurs, que penses-tu du marron ? attends, je vais te montrer : tiens, je te chie dans le cou et je te chie au cul, tu aimes ça, le Blob ? j’ai plein de sortes de marrons différents si tu veux, je peux venir tout repeindre chez toi ! et pour le reste, je te laisse finir comme ton jeu fini à la pisse.

    La caméra est inversée gauche-droite et on ne peut rien y faire… de toute façon, elle a décidé de vivre sa vie et on ne peut rien y faire, ce qui rend le jeu houleux, imprécis et presque tout le temps injouable : tu parles d’une grosse merde ! sans compter la musique affreuse et les bruitages débiles…

    Le principe du « jeu » reste lui aussi fidèle à lui-même et ô combien répétitif et très con… je ne suis pas sûr que même les gamins les plus attardés y trouvent leur compte à dire vrai parce qu’il faut être sacrément golio pour « s’amuser » sur une daube aussi con ! bref, le Blob, va voir au fond des chiottes si j’y suis !    … Expand

    Pretty much all of what worked for de Blob originally on the Wii still works, just to an even greater degree today. The vibrant graphics, the fun gameplay, the sense of humour — they all combined to make the game an underrated gem in the previous generation, and they’re all in full effect on current-gen systems, too.

    There’s nothing new, it bears all the visual marks of its dated version with no fresh lick of paint (pardon the pun), and it’s far too repetitive by standards today.

    The levels are large and challenging, and the various missions to be completed add a welcome layer of complexity. Painting 100% of a level is a real big ask, as there is always an out of reach corner or a tree that you’ll miss. It isn’t the most varied game in the world, but even despite the control issues, there’s enough fun here to keep you playing.
