    Remastering the game and basing it off the inferior console port rather than the original version is where they went wrong. Really bizarre way to go about doing it.

    Crysis Remastered is a remastered version of the first-person shooter originally developed by Crytek and published by Electronic Arts well over a decade ago. I remember my original excitement to play the game when it launched. So is it as good as it once was? Yes this is the same old good game you played over a decade ago. At the end of the day, Crysis Remastered is an excellent port of a legendary video game but it does show it's age. Some of the mechanics feel dated and a little odd sometimes, but the remaster remains true to what the original, which feels like a more important goal given the game's age and this being far away from a full on remake. I need to put a hard "but" here because the game was a heavy load back then already and I think I don't need to tell you guys how heavy the remastered version would be. There game currently plays fine on all consoles except the Xbox One X. There is a confirmed patch coming in a few days to correct the issues with a patch, so fear not. Crysis Remastered does just that gives you a remastered version of the original game. If you go in with those expectations there's no reason to be disappointed. I do feel the price of admission is a bit steep, so if you're on the fence you may want to wait for a sale to pick it up. for your Xbox One library.… Expand

    Incredibly clumsy controls and overall feel of 2007 game. But mainly because of controls I found this version unplayable and requested refund just after 15 min of playing. Not sure if developers tried to play it themselves before releasing - my guess, not so much.

    I was trying it out last night on a X One X after I found this workaround for the mode switching issues. (link below) Tried Ray-tracing mode first out of curiosity but decided Quality-mode with HDR was the best looking option. I never played the original and my first impressions are that it feels very dated compared to for example Ghost Recon Breakpoint.     Dissapointed. I expected richer world than on X360 version (there are some scenes, where X360 version has more trees in far sight). On short sight, remastered looks OK but only with quality settings. Forget about raytracing or performance mode, both are useless. Quality mode is only accetable one, but still it lacks far sight, textures far enough are worst than on X360. UtterlyDissapointed. Utterly dissapointed that X1X and that game id much degraded compared to original crysis on PC with ultra settings. Scenery is less living like, vegetation is less moving. Did I mentioned crashes? While switching to test all modes, you will find what I mean. I do not know what they think... but work on patches, and brign at least PC ultra version to X1X, that machine sure is capable doing it. Give 1080p mode with all settings on max, because this is just sad. Definately improve visible distance and I wil be fine after few patches with it.… Expand

    Everything about this game is broken. To the graphics, preformance, AI, HDR, and framerate. They needed 6 more months for polish and released this wayyyyyyy to early. It was a money grab by crytek and they should be ashamed for putting out this turd.

    I'd say a 7 out of 10 is a far rating for this game. It's the beginning entry of a great franchise. It's a remaster not a remake. I notice gamers don't know that there is a difference between those 2 things. Remasters aren't remakes. Remasters are just graphical improvements...a visual touch up.     Like a lot of games from 13yrs ago, controls are clunky and weird but you can get use to them. Adapt, gamers don't know how to do that.
    Anyways it's a solid game, not as good as Crysis 2 and 3, but still a solid enough game to experience.    … Expand

Тогда в конце первого десятка - в начале второго двухтысячных эти игры были топчиком и каждая из частей после великолепной первой, укладывающей любой комп того времени на лопатки, ожидалась с нетерпением и, как правило, эти самые ожидания были оправданы с лихвой. Даже немного странно, что после третьей части франшиза ушла в теньВсегда с теплотой вспоминал всю эту невероятную серию Crysis. Правда через эти самые семь лет мы к великому сожалению не получили продолжения или приквела Кризисной трилогии, но у нас с вами появилась уникальная возможность погрузиться по-новой в первую часть, не испытывая большого дискомфорта в связи с устаревшей графикой игры (14 лет минуло как-никак), ибо немцы из Crytek сваяли в 2020-ом нам ремастер. И Crysis стал выглядеть действительно приемлемо, не без косяков и огрехов конечно, но в общем и целом вполне себе. Тут тебе и солнышко светит, пронзая лучами пальмовый гребень причудливо играя тенями, и морская гладь красиво искрится и переливается, готовая сойти за настоящую. Далеко не всё идеально и хорошо, постройки вот, сложилось ощущение, решили оставить из того самого 2007ого, да и собственно транспорт и прочая подвижная техника прикатила оттуда же, показалось. Схватились с энтузиазмом, но не доделали… Солнышко светит, птички поют - настроение вроде бы норм. А вот то что с вражескими мобами и их убогим ИИ никто не стал заморачиваться - это серьезный косяк. Мы конечно с женушкой хорошо так поржали над этими безмозглыми корейцами, которые упорно бежали, например, в пулеметную ячейку, чуть ли не занимая очередь к ней, зная что наш персонаж находится вне линии огня; швырялись друг в друга гранатами, выстраивались в ряд на убой, любовались по долгу стенами или внезапно теряли зрение при непосредственном ну очень близком контакте с нашим персонажем. С инопланетянами тоже было не всё гладко, но баги с ними в основном касались застревания и опять же любования стенами или прочими препятствиями. Я уже молчу про лицевую анимацию, тут опять же по-прежнему 2007-ой. И грустно и смешно одновременно, но при этом очевидно, что говорить о каком-то сопоставимом уровне с лидерами последних лет такими как DOOM Eternal, Borderlands 3 или Wolfenstein New Order мягко говоря не приходится. Главной фишкой Crysis по сути остаётся лишь один эффект костюма - невидимость, ибо броня как-то не сильно спасает под открытым огнём, а внезапное исчезновение действительно по-прежнему несёт в себе особые тактические преимущества. Силу и скорость грамотно вписали в обычный текущий режим управления с дополнительным расходом шкалы энергии, что я считаю абсолютно оправданным шагом. Оружие и стрельба из него так и остались весьма ущербными по меркам дня сегодняшнего.… Expand

    I never played the first Crysis in the 360 days, so my review is for the game itself, not how well the remaster is done since I have no experience with the first.

    I played on Series X and the game ran ok, but for a game looking so old, it should have been better. I played on Quality mode and the experience was overall decent, 50-60fps. Performance mode indeed locked 60fps, but at the    I never played the first Crysis in the 360 days, so my review is for the game itself, not how well the remaster is done since I have no experience with the first.

    The good:
    -The Story - Perfectly paced and not too much filler. Ubisoft should take notes :)
    -The World - It felt real and it got me immersed
    -Fun gameplay

    The bad:
    -Dumb AI - really, really bad!
    -Awkward and outdated controls
    -Bugs and crashes

    Even though the game has its fill of problems, I enjoyed it and found it fun enough to give it 6 hours to finish it.    … Expand

    WWE 2k Battlegrounds brings us the craziest and funniest wrestling, but it ends up being repetitive. Crysis Remastered reminds us of the great classic it was and how entertaining it was, but falls short in its efforts to bring it back up to date.

    Crysis Remastered is not a full-price retail release, instead opting for $29.99 on the Microsoft Store and other retailers. As such, it's best to see this game for what it is: a budget game that won't particularly wow but contains some levels of nostalgia. Even if it's far below what was expected of the original, there is still fun to be had with this remaster.
