    Convoy: A Tactical Rogue-like is a tactical convoy game, you are tasked with exploring and finding parts to repair your ship after you crash land. You must use various vehicles to protect your MCV all while avoid various obstacle that will either destroy your car or inflict damage along with battle off other vecicles who will intercept you and try destroy you from the different factionsConvoy: A Tactical Rogue-like is a tactical convoy game, you are tasked with exploring and finding parts to repair your ship after you crash land. You must use various vehicles to protect your MCV all while avoid various obstacle that will either destroy your car or inflict damage along with battle off other vecicles who will intercept you and try destroy you from the different factions of the planet. While on your travels you may encounter requests from said factions that you are able to deny or accept of your own free will, however consequences will occur, things don't come free so once you find what you are looking for don't expect a free gift you may be asked to go fight somebody. The game also allows customisation of your vehicles in camp, this will allow you to stay in the fight longer and collect loot. Visually the game is quite basic, offering a top down view of the map when traveling and text based interactions, however during combat you are placed in a retro styled side scrolling top down view, offering nice looking environments if not sometimes slightly repetitive. The controlling of the game can take a little while to get the hang of, outside of combat it is fairly straight forward (I do recommend paying attention during the tutorial) however during combat it takes a little getting used to controlling your vehicles to avoid colliding into a insta death rock while fighting on multiple fronts, though fighting off multiple enemies is satisfying because of it. Overall: For those of you looking for a slightly different tactical game then this could be what you are looking for, though quite fustrating at times it is rewarding upon progression.… Expand

    I've enjoyed my time with this combination of ideas, but because of how harsh it can be, Convoy: A Tactical Roguelike on Xbox One is going to be a game that will either appeal massively or frustrate hugely. In fact, whether you get on with this weird mismatch of genres will come down to one thing - whether or not you like your gaming to be luck-based.

    Convoy: A Tactical Roguelike, although simple in its graphics and audio, is very accomplished in its tactical gameplay. The story isn’t too thorough, but it’s enough so you know what to focus on. The random encounters make things fun and exciting, and the tactical combat has the right balance of difficulty. The game also seems to rely on the philosophy that if at first, you don’t succeed, try, try again.
