    Campain is good for what it is. The game truly shines in the multiplayer aspect, which is some of the best COD multiplayer in years. The game had a rough launch but a lot of issues have been fixed. Highly recommend.

    Best COD in years!!! MP is awesome, with a lot of options, crossplay and no paid DLC!!! Campaign and coop modes are excellent too!! This is the COD game the community was hoping for!!! Congrats Infinity Ward!!!

    Saying that the games is "russophobic" is ridiculous. In the game you work together with Russian agents against the evil Russian general! Also, the Americans are portrayed negatively several times in the game, including dishonorably abandoning their allies (just like real life). What are you all talking about? Finish the campaign before talking about the story, at least.

Made me want to play the originals all over again. And I wouldn’t mind MW2 and MW3 to see a remaster. Game was tough to watch at times. Anything with kids being hurt is tough. Wanted to everything I could to protect them. Some more choice options in these games would be neatZ sneaking around was cool too!… Expand

    The game plays like a dream. It's the best call of duty to date by far. The visuals are amazing. It's crazy that the effects, lightning, and character models are all spot on. The most believable character models period. They feel like they have a soul. Seriously though, if you have a soul be ready for some emotionally charged gameplay.     3.7 really? This is the best cod I have played since mw2. Great gameplay no running on walls thank god, great gun upgrade system. I have put in over 5 days total and have really enjoyed this game. It is also a large title spec ops, single player and multi-player. Would recommend this title for sure but PLEASE BOYCOTT THE MICROTRANSACTIONS. If people quit firkin buying add on and micro3.7 really? This is the best cod I have played since mw2.     Ignore the bad reviews it’s just people that are offended by the campaign I take it. People need to realize it’s just a game. I haven’t played campaign but I have the multiplayer. It’s freaking amazing it’s more tactical and a little more slow pace which I love. 10/10

    By far, the absolute best Call Of Duty ever made. The weapons are fantastic, the story was gritty with a sense of realism and the graphics were too notch. This is first Multiplayer I’ve given well over a hundred hours to in years. Generally, the multiplayer is pretty boring with few unlocks to care about...Cold War... but almost every unlock and score streak felt amazing to use. Even ifBy far, the absolute best Call Of Duty ever made. The weapons are fantastic, the story was gritty with a sense of realism and the graphics were too notch. Generally, the multiplayer is pretty boring with few unlocks to care about...Cold War... but almost every unlock and score streak felt amazing to use. Even if some guns weren’t as competitive as others, I still enjoyed using them the challenge and fun. Infinite ward also changed the multiplayer meta in a way that made it feel real but also like an arcade. Infinite Ward set the bar for all other games to come after it. Unfortunately, Cold War has since fallen well behind modern warfare’s shadow. While not every COD will be the same going forward, I truly hope that they learn from how amazing modern warfare is.

    Crossplay is both a welcomed introduction and cursed one. On one hand, it’s awesome to play with friends regardless of their system and it makes for more populated games. On the other hand, it clearly highlights how disadvantaged console players are to PC players. Mouse and keyboard will forever be easier/quicker than a controller. I currently own this on PlayStation and Xbox. I will state that for some reason, the game runs smoother on a PS4 pro than an Xbox one X. It is very slightly and almost unnoticeable but it’s there.    … Expand

    Wow!!!! Look at all the HATE (neg reviews) for this game. . . . and it all seems so political. I just love the game so far. The campaign, graphics, multiplayer all seem off the charts good. This is one of the best COD games ever. Never mix politics and gaming kids.

    This is a masterpiece, I've played cod since the first game came out on PC. I understand that this game requires a little more skill and it's more realistic than the previous titles. People that rate this game low are either just trolling, jumping the hate bandwagon or lack basic skills.     Who ever gives this game a score below a 9 or 10 is out of their minds, this is the best call of duty to come out since the OG's. The Story was amazing and the multiplayer is enjoyable, if your complaining about laggy game play, i'm sorry its just your pc because the game runs just fine, and i already know anyone making a bad review has K.D ratio of below a 1.

    Excellent game! This game has officially brought me back to the call of duty franchise after switching over to battlefield ( still prefer battlefields destructibility and all out war).     The only thing that i've been seeing, is that people are rating this game based on their political view. A side from the fact that it may be offensive to you, doesn't make it a bad game. I think that the mechanics are on point, it felt refreshing but still kept the core of MW. This a great cod Game from the campaign to the multiplayer (Although spec-ops is a little off) don't allow the review's claiming this game is anti-russian propaganda fool you because it's not. Not only are there real world examples of the Russian military acting like this in Afghanistan in Afghanistan in the 80's and syria+Ukraine today but it actually does show western forces in a morally grey light there's a scene where it depicts the US marines calling in a white phosphorus strike on a russian military base full of mercs and the sas using a terrorists wife and child as leverage to get information out of him by threatening to shoot him there's also a scene where us backed rebel's use chlorine gas on Russian soldiers . In response to a previous review the sas aren't shown to be idiots either if you actually bothered to listen to Sargent Garrick instead of foaming at the mouth when your precious russian armed forces were shown in a negative light he states his unit had a plethora of actionable intel on the terrorists plans but wasn't allowed to do anything about it which is actually on point because if you actually bothered to take an interest in the internal affairs of other countries for once you'd know that the met police knew about most of the people involved in all the terrorists we've had in our country recently but didn't do anything about them before they actually carried out their plans. Finally for the people complaining about politics in video games war is inherently political if you don't like politics in video games you shouldn't be playing a military shooter now if any ruskies or Putin butt kissers want to be put in their place by me further they can message my gt Americawon1990. Now onto the multiplayer it's really fun the people complaining about the ttk and the movement are younger cod fans who are struggling to adapt to the fact that you actually have to think about how you approach an engagement now instead of just rushing into a room like you're a chicken with it's head cut off the vehicle combat is super fun I just wish there was more variety in the types of vehicles that are in the game the maps are really good more like the ones in the original modern warfare trilogy and black ops 1 and 2. So that's my review but as a closing statement I recommend you play the campaign on realism difficulty it's essentially veteran but without the hud including the nametags for friendlies requiring to actually acquire your targets before you fire it adds an extra layer of immersion to an already immersive game it also makes it so you're a one shot kill from a headshot making the house clearing sections all the more tense as you're rounding a corner while aiming down your sights in case there's a terrorist waiting on the other side all in all a return to form and I'm excited for a potential sequel. 10/10… Expand

    Great game, multiplayer is great fun. The story of the campaign is brutal and does paint Russia as the baddies but the way they've acted in Syria recently and Afghanistan previously it's a fair commentary. The brutality of the campaign is harrowing and certainly doesn't glorify war, which from a war game is some feat. Good job Activision!

    Ну наконец то на рынке появился нормальный шутан да еще и с неплохим сюжетом (как для шутана). Прошел с удовольствием, жаль что сюжетная компания довольно короткая (впрочем в CoD всегда так).

    It’s a good game every one is just offended that Activision used Russians as the bad guys. Only a few years ago everyone was fine with this but nowadays everyone is offended at random crap that doesn’t even matter.

    Feeling incredible, story impressive, this is a great game. Game, only game. I understand it is very actual and caricatural about russians, but if you play it as a game, all game modes are fantastic, even solo (first time I finish a cod or bf since the first modern warfare on 360)

    That aside, I highly enjoy this game! The campaign was an enjoyable, and fun, but also dark, and disturbing. This campaign has some of the best storytelling of any COD game to date, and some very dynamic characters, with real motives for why they do what they do. 10/10

    As for the multiplayer, fantastic! nearly every map is an enjoyable map, with great layouts. There are multiple new game modes, such as Ground War, and Gun fight, which are very unique and fun experiences within the COD franchise. Each weapon has it's checks and balances (except the 725, which is being fixed at the moment) which means the weapon you choose is all just personal preference, there is no real best gun in the game. The absence of specialist abilities and jet-pack suits is also welcome by me!

    The Campaign is awesome! One of the best of the entire CoD Franchise! Captain Price has a new amazing actor and all of the missions are great and it ultimately is fun to play! Personal favorites are the Clean House and Going Dark mission. The campaign takes risks, high risk, a lot of fun, just how I like it.

    The Multiplayer also is great and a lot of fun to play!
    The modes are fun, the new modes are great and the one thing it is missing is like real great multiplayer maps which you want to replay.

    Spec Ops continues the story really well and is a fun coop mode to play

At the same time another crap map that is called Shipment is too tiny, it should've been removed from the game. The weapons in the game is exactly what I really wish COD have and they're all here.

    Warzone 10/10. Arguably the best battle royale you can play right now

    You'd really have to wonder after IW making two arguably the worst games in the last 7 years (Ghosts and Infinite Warfare) they've took drastic turn for the better.    … Expand

    Well, what do you say now, people who shouted that there is Russophobia in the game, etc. This game directly shows your morality and the real damage caused to other nations of the world (Ukraine, Syria and many others) by the Russian army. And for those who don't know yet: Verdansk is modeled after Donetsk, which was captured by Russia.

    You can really tell Infinity Ward poured everything they have into this game. It's so meticulously crafted and the detail is staggering at times. The character movement actually feels inspired by Wolfenstein II which is    CoD finally feels next-gen and I couldn't be happier.     The game looks visually stunning, the sound is immersive & awesome. People who complain about camping ect need to try different game modes to find something that suits them.     Call of Duty: Modern Warfare serves up the freshest take on a stale formula in years, with a new engine and revitalised multiplayer mode that takes full advantage of a finely-tuned weapon customisation system and some welcome changes to ballistic mechanics. While Spec Ops fails to deliver much long-term attraction, the story mode proves there’s plenty of justification for a narrative element in a modern shooter. Free maps and updates bring everyone onto the same page in multiplayer, but Infinity Ward's take on the battle pass template still needs some work.

    If you don’t mind being killed by the odd nuke – how anyone can score 30 consecutive kills is beyond our tiny minds – PvP could swallow your damn life. Pair it with a gutsy (if insensitive) campaign, and this tonally conflicted series continues to stay relevant thanks to the best guns in the biz. [Issue#184, p.68]
