    brilliant story telling with solid and varied gameplay. plus all the feels you could ever want from a game. one of the better 'indie' experiences I have ever had with a game. up there with limbo, braid, valiant hearts etc

    A lot of times I'm looking for a game that doesn't just deliver a solid game play mechanic, it also has the power to uplift or convey emotion. This is where I found that Brother excelled. Now this isn't to say that it is necessarily uplifting throughout it's entire 2-2 1/2 hour play through, it is to say that there are key moments when it is so uplifting that it made me reconsider myA lot of times I'm looking for a game that doesn't just deliver a solid game play mechanic, it also has the power to uplift or convey emotion. This is where I found that Brother excelled. Now this isn't to say that it is necessarily uplifting throughout it's entire 2-2 1/2 hour play through, it is to say that there are key moments when it is so uplifting that it made me reconsider my approach to the entire rest of the game. The construction and design of this game are so exquisitely appointed that it clearly shines through (despite lackluster graphic quality). The control scheme is for one or two people holding the same controller. There is little to know exploration other than along the predefined story and the puzzles are rudimentary at best. I imagine playing along with a 8-10 year old would be ideal. That isn't to say this isn't a really fun experience, just that there is no significant challenge or on a upside nothing hindering your enjoyment of the aesthetic and atmosphere.… Expand

    A great little game with a touching story. To me it seems like a perfect candidate for a Game With Gold/ Ps Plus game. It is also quite easy to get all the achievements which is always a bonus. The controls are the worst part of the game, all over the place at times.

    Great story, no doubt. but, it seems they just pull the 360 version to Xbox one without doing anything. The graphics just a slightly better than before, almost can't notice if you don't focus. I don't see this is the best they can do to a next-gen system. I was disappointed. If you already played previous version of the game, you won't find what you need here. Nothing to expect.

    Pensez donc (ou essayez), deux frérots dont la môman est morte et dont le pôpa est sur le point de claquer, alors les deux chiards vont chercher un rémède et partent à l'aventure...     Evidemment comme c'est frais, la jouabilité est fraîche, très fraîche elle aussi puisqu'il faut contrôler les deux trizos en même temps avec les joysticks et les gâchettes analogiques gauches pour l'un et droites pour l'autre, sans doute parce que l'un vote à droite et l'autre vote à gauche. Ou l'inverse. Bref, faut être un poulpe pour diriger une merde pareille.

    La musique pleurnichiante est à s'ouvrir les veines (émossion, t"entends !) et les graphismes (pourtant en Unreal 3) sont en 256 couleurs, le tout boulotté à la va-vite (tu la sens la pöézie, là ?).

    Et ils le "vendent" ce truc-là, c'est fou, c'est fou ! et y a même pas de Perrier.    … Expand

    It's so good. It is short but it's long enough. The mechanic at the end is incredible and it's amazing to see gameplay used emotionally. Very clever. Highly effective story that just wouldn't have had anything like the same impact had they gone the 'other' way.

    I loved this game for it's imagery and it's storyline. I have a definite soft spot for emotionally driven media of all forms and this game really left me in a profoundly thoughtful and grateful state. Please play this game.

    Wonderful adventure, touching story, a lot of different gameplay mechanics, nice art. A bit difficult controlling both characters at the same time. Too bad it is not full AAA game.

    This is one of the best stories designed with an incredibly neat narrative. Immersive from the first moment you take control , and with a variety in the gameplay, this game becomes an indispensable gem, at least to play only once.

    Brothers is a really unique game. You control both characters at once using the left and right half of the controller. The story is very simple and told via gameplay and short cutscenes with no dialogue. The game gets really dark at times and definitely tries very hard to tug at the players heart strings, but unfortunately it just didn't click with me.     I was looking for a game for my 4 year old god daughter to use a s a first starter, Zoo Tycoon is great for joystick control and she also took to this game with 2 controllers in co-pilot mode, she controls one brother while I control the other and help with hers is she gets stuck.     Una bonita y poderosa historia sobre dos hermanos que se embarcan en el viaje de su vida para poder salvar la vida de su padre.

    Gráficamente precioso y jugablemente muy bien pensado, esta gran aventura nos hará sentir todo tipo de emociones a lo largo de su recorrido, visitando lugares fantásticos y escenarios asombrosos.

    Recomendado.

    Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons is such a beautiful and magical tapestry of story weaving. The minimalistic design told through imagery, ambiance and music come together to create a gem of an experience. Simply a masterpiece.

    The game says its co op. Its not. It should be. I really thought it would be. Dissapointment was huge for my son and I when we found out we couldnt play it together. Ruined my evening.

    Приключенческий платформер Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons это своего рода аперитив между прохождением крупных ААА проектов. Что уж говорить, если прошли мы с женой игру меньше чем за 4 часа. Главной особенностью игры является одновременное управление двумя персонажами, что здорово так тренирует координацию. Хотя и не сказать, что это самое управление сложное, по сути все телодвижения каждого из персонажей закреплены за отдельным грибом и для действия у каждого по одной кнопке, есть ещё управление плавающей камерой, но это уже так дополнительные удобства. Графика в игре не хватает звёзд с неба, но для такого бюджетного проекта вполне себе приятная, хотя вот водоемы здесь с кристально чистой водой просто образцово показательные. В процессе прохождения игры мы разгадываем несложные головоломки в основном в командном взаимодействии персонажей. Приключения братьев в полусказочном, но при этом суровом мире затягивают, хотя вот как по мне с драматизмом тут явно перегнули, правда знаю, что некоторых индивидов цепляло чуть ли не до слез. До конца проникнуться игрой не позволил хронометраж, так как по сути только-только успеваешь более-менее распробовать ее как уже начинаются титры. Не уверен по поводу хорошей реиграбельности проекта, но из-за оригинальности геймплея и завораживающей атмосферы происходящего думаю всё же стоит ознакомиться с Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons.… Expand

    Interesting and good small game that would perfectly fit Xbox Game Pass library. Funny gameplay mechanics, but too bad it is only 30 FPS even on Xbox Series X…

    Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons is a remarkable game. Even with the frustrating controls, Starbreeze Studios has managed to craft a superb puzzle-adventure game with mature themes, while still capturing those crucial moments that makes the relationship between two young brothers special.

    Fans of the game will find themselves once again transfixed as they embark on the journey once more and for those have not yet taken the plunge, now is definitely your chance. Just remember to keep the tissues handy. You might be in need of them.
