Blind Men on Xbox One offers a rather interesting concept of playing as a supervillain but is let down by downright creepy writing, spelling mistakes and a bland story. Whilst fans of boy’s love visual novels might find something to like here, there are plenty of better choices out there.

The concept of the story had me excited to play, but gameplay wise it didn’t live up to its potential. I didn’t enjoy Blind Men, it’s an adventure novel that would have been better served as a book. A lack of voice acting took me out of the immersion, and the music was very off putting. Multiple endings are a little saving grace, but that’s even if you want to go through it more than once.

You play as Keegan, an aspiring Supervillain. Raised by his Uncle, The Sphynx a Renowned Supervillain, after his parents died, he aspires to be just as great as his uncle. To complete his initiation into "The League" he must commit an act of Villainy. Trying to impress The League, he aims his sights at a high stakes target, Bonn’s National Museum of Science. You have the option to take two distinct paths, with a total of eight separate endings. You can chose to capture and hold a high profile Scientist Hostage, or hold up the museum for a piece of priceless technology. Keegan's plans run smoothly until he encounters two Spys. A KGB agent named Sergei, and an American Spy named Hunter. Hunter is your typical James Bond mock-up, Charming, Whitty, and flirtatious to a flaw. I more enjoyed the interactions with Hunter, as they kept me chuckling. Sergei is a Dark and mysterious man with little to say. The game overall is short and leaves a lot of room for character development. This feels like a prequel, introducing us to something bigger. Like Keegan start to finish just feels like a privileged brat, but I'm sure after the events of this fleeting story, may have grown a bit with any ending you can accomplish. There is an underlying sexual tension that is insinuated between Keegan and the agents, but nothing is ever outright said in that direction. Don't let that put you off of this games trail, as those who enjoy a good story will find a pleasant if not short one here. Full Review »
