    I like this game but I'm having trouble finding where to go without cheating by looking to game play guides but I still like this game and I'll someday make it out of the woods

    This sounds odd, but this game is not very good, but I still enjoyed it. I enjoyed it because I like the world and lore of the Blair Witch, and this game captures that well at times. Most of the game unfortunately is just walking around a dark forest looking for the next clue, but for one reason or another I enjoyed doing that. The last mission had me be the tensest I have ever been for an extended period of time, although it goes on for way too long. The characters and dialogue were good in my opinion, and I like how this game has two different endings. Many plot points don't make sense or are not explained by the game. There's a YouTube video that explains that but given the fact that the game itself couldn't do that is a massive problem to me. Given the fact that the plot doesn't make a whole lot of sense, mixed with the facts that it's not scary most of the time and much of the game is just walking around a forest, normally I would say this game is terrible. That being said, I genuinely had fun with this game sense I like puzzles, the Blair Witch universe, and it made me think about how to accomplish the next task.     Such an underrated game. It's not only the best horror game ever made, but also the best adventure game ever made. Every piece of it is crafted manually with love and duty. The gameplay and direction are developing through the whole passthrough, each of 14 (approximately) chapters is UNIQUE and even the last one makes such a deep impression with how it all started with a forest walk andSuch an underrated game. None of it makes much sense and you just wind up wandering aimlessly in the forest trying to walk (very slowly) toward something that will move the story forward. But just wait until it gets dark, when you can be chased by invisible things!

    Blair witch was an incredible surprise. This game stinks, sweats and have irregular heartbeat. I don't think I ever had such terrible experience experience in the most artistic way to describe it. I would had never thought I was going to feel actually lost in a forest. Considering the gameplay is centered around exploring a forest they manage to provide some interesting and fun ways of making each chapter feel distinct. The final chapter has some excellent visuals for example. But nonetheless I often found myself wanting the game to be over. I assume the devs were attempting to build tension but it just fell flat as I found myself growing bored in several parts of the game.

    Probably the biggest flaw is the story. The fractured narrative doesn't really contain any shocking reveals in my opinion and I didn't feel connected to any of the characters except for bullet the dog. I also found the ending was short, kind of dumb and didn't match how I had acted throughout the game.

    There are some good jump scares but not that many. It's scarier than most horror games but that's not difficult. It's not exactly going to stay with you and give you nightmares. Overall it was fine. Good enough to finish but fails to make much of an impression.    … Expand

    I chose something entertaining for the evening and wanted to play Blair Witch in the gamepass for a long time. I liked the film very much. After about 5 hours I was done and found it very atmospheric in its horror aspect in the forest. The soundscape is really great and you get goosebumps from time to time.     Visually it looks okay, but technically it is sometimes very weak. Had a bug twice in the short time that required a restart. The transitions between sequences were also incorrect. Individual texture glitches and slight jerking in some places distracted something from the atmosphere.

    From the topic it goes e.g. also the ways of a Hellblade (I had been reminded of it several times), but its narrative content is much weaker. I thought the last chapter in Blair Witch was very cool.

    All in all an entertaining atmospheric horror trip that has a few weaknesses to offer. 6/10 wooden figures.    … Expand

    Como é difícil adaptar filmes e séries de cinema nos jogos eletrônicos!
    Mais um jogo nesse estilo adaptativo para se esquecer, ele não consegue ser nada bom, parece meio genérico e muito chato com suas mecânicas, nem os sustos são bacanas, eu realmente me decepcionei demais.

El juego tiene un buen comienzo, pero mientras más avanza se puede notar que no es un juego de terror completamente, es un juego lineal pero andaras en círculos la mayor parte resolviendo acertijos o buscándolos, ya que no están señalados y es ahí cuando el juego pierde ritmo. Bullet, tu compañero canino es una idea muy buena te llegas a encariñar gracias a la ayuda que te brinda, pero a veces le pierdes el rastro en las zonas boscosas y es necesario llamarlo para que continúes con tu camino.
    La historia no es muy profunda y se puede resumir en alguien que busca la redención y acaba en manos de la bruja de Blair, a menos que saques el final bueno , que es cuando rompes el ciclo.
    Finalmente sus puntos fuertes son el apartado gráfico y los sonidos que te mantienen alerta. Es un juego que no volvería a jugar, por ahora. ya que no es lo que esperaba quizá en un futuro me anime a sacar el final bueno aunque viendo los requisitos para hacerlo limitará más al jugador.    … Expand

    First of all.. Blair Witch is basically unplayable on the xbox game pass for pc… if you play in full screen, which I did for narly half of the game… its so dark this feels more like a movie based on bird box.. and I just though no, this is how the game was meant to be. Especially because the opening sequence was so blown out, and I could see perfectly fine in the day time, it wasn’t until after I noticed my recording software have a hard time capturing the gameplay in full screen that I relized that if you play out of full screen, the game actually looks fine and is finally playable.. but still not enjoyable… this is a game all about being lost in the woods and you constantly feel like this, youre stuck in the same areas of the game both in and out of the woods far too long, that this sacks you with the chore feelings, bullet is there with you to sniff out clues and help lead you through thankfully… you really come to rely on him to get through this game… but as a game from the bloobr team, you do see a lot of that layers of fear styled design, with a really cool rewind mechanic that allows you to alter the world around you by pausing tapes found throughout the world at the right time, I just wish we saw more of the bloobr team spirit, as it disappears outside of these few moments and the final chapter of the game.. but even that final chapter drug onto much…
    Blair witch overall is just a disappointment…and if youre gaming on pc, it’s a disappointment not even worth the hassle to try and play…
    The world quickly goes from intriguing to I cant wait for this to be over…

    For more action (what a trailer of the game might sugest thwre is to use a flashlight. It's not big of a use like in Remedy's game but its a nice bonus to walking simulator like preveous games of Bloober Team. And of courae Bullet.... A truaty compqnion that is one of the most importanr and offen forgotten factor of Horror games - a friend.

    Soy un gran gran fan de la peli y corri a instalarlo dia uno... la verdad un poco de decepcion me lleve...
    Inicio lento pero bien... graficamente normalito no mata... historia bueno, bien... pero la caida de frames ufff me duele mucho. Saquen un parche x favor... ahun asi es de game pass..... asi que se ha de jugar. en 15 horas esta acabado y es una buena experiencia.

    Pozytywne zaskoczenie! Bardzo ciekawa i intrygująca fabuła, która nie raz potrafi zaskoczyć. Tytuł trzyma w napięciu, często zmuszając nas do myślenia. Sekwencja końcowa z domem moim zdaniem ciut za długa i przez to trochę irytująca. Wbrew opiniom gra nie jest zbytnio straszna jak na horror. Mimo to bawiłem się dobrze. Idealna na jednorazowe ogranie.

    If this game was made with the soul purpose of being boring then this game succeeded. I hate to delete games without finishing them but playing this was such a chore. The dog bullet is the worlds most useless dog. I know now why they gave the reprimand command because as much as I love dogs.,this dog was pretty foolish. It just never got better the more I spent my time in the woods...I really was waiting for the jump scares or getting freaked out. But wow...it just made me so freaking bored. I read there are glitches in the game where you can get stuck or it takes a bit for the world to render giving you the direction your suppose to go in..but holy that would suck if I was just playing and not noticing the game was glitching and stuck at the same part. Anyways...Blair witch was a fail to me. It was boring and I really gave it a chance but it kinda sucked really bad. I see people gave it a ten but it had to be the developers or someone who thinks they are edgy and evolved and I just don’t get what the fame was about..It just was boring.… Expand

    The game in itself is great entertainment. Even as a hard person to scare, it had some truely terrifying moments enough for me to jump. I encourage more of these types of games. I hope to see better frame rates in the future, probably rhe biggest detractor of the game. Not something that should stop you playing the game, especially if you have a gamepass.

    The Blair Witch Project first hit our movie screens over twenty years ago and whilst it wasn’t the most scariest film that’s ever been seen it had a vibe about it that drew you in and what was happening on screen was actually believable due to that vibe. That being said when it was first announced I was actually looking forward to Blair Witch the game and if done right it could be one of those games that scares the back of your hair on your neck up like a cat, and was hoping that was the case because I love a game that truly scares you. Thankfully it did scare me some and even though it isn’t perfect if you’re one of those who likes to be scared then Blair Witch needs to be in your library. Basically you’re a police officer who joins the search of a missing nine year old boy and tracking down this boy is full of horror and events that make you wish you weren’t there. The story sounds simple and to a degree it is but as you progress you realise that the character you play as has a lot of depth to them and as things go even further you start to imagine actually being this person experiencing the horrifying events he’s gone through at the same time. This in turn makes things become even more immersive and at the same time you become to get very attached to the character your portraying.Yes there are quite a few things that make this game stand out but for me the biggest thing that makes Blair Witch stand out is the atmosphere. I’m not exaggerating when I say then that the atmosphere is so tense that you’re always on the edge of your seat and dreading what will happen next because the visual style and stellar sound design infuse together perfectly creating a horrifying experience at every turn. The puzzles should also get a special mention because they are quite clever and give the gameplay and atmosphere an extra layer which in turn makes the events feel that little bit more important. definitely a solid offering for those enjoying their Xbox late at night.… Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. HThis is a VERY badly designed game story-wise that gives no possibility of a satisfying ending. I'll explain why.

    1. Your whole interaction with your girlfriend has no bearing on the game. No matter how you treat her - patching things up or not - has no effect on the story. She's literally like a dead piece of game code. 2. They lie when they tell you to trust your dog, Bullet. Especially when you want to go for the good ending. When you play the game for the first time (and best time - no replay value), you will assume that breaking totums is something a good person would do (because they scare the sh!t out of Bullet, and because THEY'RE LEFT BY THE WITCH, so screw her), right? Wrong. You're apparently evil for wanting to remove the thing that scares the dog that you were told to trust. Also, you'd expect that killing the supernatural beings in the woods would be something that a good person would do (because your dog barks at them, they attack your dog, you're in the Blair witch's woods, so they must be associated with her, and screw her), right? Wrong again! Apparently the supernatural beings in the woods are there by chance. They are not at all associated with the witch. So killing them is evil. This is terrible story design. There's nothing satisfying or intuitive about this game setup. These are not the acts af a good person. They are simply dead game mechanics. Which brings me to my next point about bad story telling design:


    3. There's creatures in the woods that wants to harm you THAT'S NOT ASSOCIATED WITH THE BLAIR WITCH!! WTF?! THIS IS A BLAIR WITCH GAME!! The Blackwood forest is not supposed to be a magical forest full of magical creatures, it's supposed to be a normal forest that's haunted by an evil scary ass witch!

    4. You are punished for exploring. Because if you find figurines this way, you can't pick them up (because this is considered evil - again, why!?). As a matter of fact, the first one is waiting for you to pick up (and blow any chance of a good ending) even before you enter the woods.. Let that sink in.. Oh, and.. 5. You can't save the lost boy (he's dead FYI) . You can never escape the forest. You can never one up the witch. You are either evil or you die a coward. This crappy story design is right up there with the last seasons of HIMYM and GOT, and SW episode 8. Terrible terrible terrible story design. It's 6hours of my life that I will never get back. Truly one of the most unfulfilling experiences of my life. Stay away. Please    … Expand

    Excelente jogo de terror psicológico, e pra quem acompanhou e gostou da história nos filmes é uma ótima experiência por se tratar do mesmo universo. A mecânica do cachorro me agradou e acredito que seja o diferencial pra quebrar os momentos mais monótomos. A qualidade gráfica é OK, se tratando de um jogo de baixo orçamento, conseguiram criar uma floresta bonita e que até impressiona.
    A    Excelente jogo de terror psicológico, e pra quem acompanhou e gostou da história nos filmes é uma ótima experiência por se tratar do mesmo universo.     Resumindo: Me agradou muito, e acredito que seja um jogo para um nicho, pra quem espera um terror intenso vai se decepcionar, por outro lado, pra quem curti terror psicológico é uma boa, porém curta, experiência.    … Expand

    Jogo chato e cansativo... Trailer da E3 enganoso... Joguei no xbox one X, o jogo tem problemas de fps, roda muito baixo, da enjoo e dor de cabeça... O game é só andar andar andar, com som apelativo e um cara (inimigo do game) falando merda do seu ouvido o tempo todo... O jogo se resume a passar horas tentando achar o caminho.

    Perfecta ambientación y mecánicas muy interesantes. Te sumerge rápido en la atmósfera de tensión gracias a su recreación del bosque y la falta de elementos HUB en pantalla. Técnicamente le falta mejorar algunas texturas, su nitidez y la estabilidad de fps.

    A budget movie game with commendable graphics, story, and gameplay. It's not new or revolutionary but solid none the same and there's always room for more solid games. Recommend playing through gamepass.

    gostei muito da atmosfera do jogo , da gameplay e me impressionou muito uma desenvolvedora indie fazer algo nesse nível e pra encerrar imagina se MS compra esse estúdio ai sim a parada vai ficar cabulosa literalmente kkkkkkk

    I love the works of the Bloober Team. Loved Observer and Layers of Fear. I'm really enjoying Blair Witch, but there are some bugs that have made me have to restart the game a few times. The atmosphere of terror is amazing and agonizing at times. A great job, no doubt.

    This game is ok for "free" @ xbox game pass. Thats it. Gameplay, technique, storytelling is not that good. It doesn't catch you. No fear.

    Onde of the best horror game so far, the game pushes a New concept of horror games, and its a new step to adapt more and more horror story. The game is scary, the forrest its completly immersive, the sound design is gorgeous, well coming from a guy that works with movie sounds, well its amazing. Bloober Team shows us that they are a Dev to look for...hey Microsoft, BUY THEM HAHAHA

    Esse jogo não traz nenhum tipo de terror bom o suficiente pra me assustar, o que é péssimo para um jogo de "TERROR".
    E o jogo é muito bugado, mas tem gráficos lindo e uma boa trilha sonora, mas fora isso o jogo e uma porcaria.

    Não deu nem para jogar para avaliar, o game está injogavel, se foce quedas de FPS aleatórias aí vai, mas o jogo está todo cagado, a 15 dos o tempo todo, não sei como a produtora pode lançar um game neste estado, falta de vergonha.

    Horrible pacing, lack of direction, repetitive environments, and game-breaking bugs make what could have been a decent game into a frustrating chore. One of the worst game I’ve played in recent years. Skip this one.

    What if Isaac Clarke has a Bullett on his side? Helping him to stay alert on resting corpses ready to jump on him? Open world games are still more and more and more popular. Whats I like the most is the music. Its like. Jason Graves low tonę /God of War groving. Graphic is great. Forest looks gorgeus.

    Blair Witch is a AA game like a prevous hit of the standard: Hellblade of Ninja Theory. Its much better now because I was playing of first Sunday of realising the game. Majority of bugs are fixed. The essense of Horror is of course very strong and its a first time when I play in open world horror.

    Alan Wake IS one of my absolute masterpeace of Horror Genre. Its driven atmosphere, Green forestish lighting makes me feel focus Blqir Witch is xlimatic, scary, beautiful, original, stylish and FUN.

    El juego es breve, pero a su favor es envolvente en su ambientación y narrativa... curiosamente el juego logra lo que las peliculas no, es decir... meterte en una atmosfera de miedo. Finalmente los efectos estan bien logrados en los momentos que asi lo requieren, coordinando los encue tros espectrales y episodios de alucionacion con los sonidos y fondo sonoro adecuado.

    uma ambientação muito boa. Há pequenas circunstâncias de desempenho, mesmlo no Xbox One X, mas nada que um patch não resolva em breve.     I went into this game not expecting much, and to be quite honest I was pretty impressed at the start of the game. I really was enjoying the game's two unique mechanics, and how the environments were fairly open, allowing you to explore the woods looking for clues.

    As I progressed further, however, a lot of that good will / strong first impressions began to rapidly disappear. The main character is exceptionally one dimensional and unlikable, feeling as though they've taken as many horror cliches and tried to staple them all together. The game constantly drones on with rather generic haunted house music that sucks away a lot of the atmosphere / genuine creepiness of the game (highly recommend you just turn off the music if you decide to play the game - it makes the game creepier). Then there's the "combat", which is particularly poorly put together and feels super gimmicky and not particularly fun. More frustrating than anything.

    It eventually all came to a head upon reaching a hazardous area that I needed to navigate through. I had figured out pretty quickly what I needed to do, but a NPC in the game kept reiterating and hammering that point home about once every thirty seconds / if you come anywhere close to messing up and failing the sequence. It became exceptionally aggravating and frustrating, removing just about any tension the sequence could have had.

    I was really hoping that we'd have a hidden gem of a horror game on our hands, but unfortunately it's just a complete mess that constantly assumes the player is an idiot.    … Expand

    Blair Witch is a successful videogame translation of what made the original film so haunting. It doesn’t move far outside the dev team’s comfort zone, but the warmth of the relationship between a man and his dog almost made it worth fighting through the motion sickness it gave me. Almost.

    Blair Witch captivated me in a way that no other horror game has ever done before. A brilliant story that is complimented by even better gameplay allows for an enjoyable, yet terrifying experience. It has a few issues in terms of gameplay but iron those out and it's near perfect.
