    In Black Desert for Xbox One, traversing the map feels rewarding and most importantly enjoyable, and this in turn gives you a reason to return to the game over and over again. I began Black Desert on the Xbox One with a decent amount of knowledge because I had already played the game on PC. What I experienced on the PC then made me excited that it was making its way to the Xbox One andIn Black Desert for Xbox One, traversing the map feels rewarding and most importantly enjoyable, and this in turn gives you a reason to return to the game over and over again. I began Black Desert on the Xbox One with a decent amount of knowledge because I had already played the game on PC. What I experienced on the PC then made me excited that it was making its way to the Xbox One and while it doesn’t have all of the content from the PC version, there’s still more than enough to keep you occupied for countless hours. At its core it's an MMO and unlike other games of this genre, it doesn’t get bogged down by too many details and this simplistic approach means newcomers and veterans can both enjoy this game to it's fullest. There’s much on the table to enjoy because traveling around the map always throws a new challenge at you, despite this it would’ve been nice to have had more variety present in the quests the combat to make up for this. I literally never got bored with the combat due to the depth within the combat system and this gives you a sense of accomplishment in defeating your foe. In terms of the presentation the game looks and sounds great which enhances the story a little just thru the superb presentation. In my opinion this was needed, because the story is a little basic. At the end of the quest, I’m looking forward to watching Black Desert grow on the Xbox One because there’s going to be a ton of content added to it in the future and they are off to a very strong start already. It does much more than enough to get a recommendation from me. I highly suggest adding this game to your library and one more question? Why aren't you playing it now?… Expand

    It appears they have fixed their server issues on XBox, having said that it appears that the game is now running well. Graphics are good, and plays well on the xbox. The Black Spirit character is quite a bit annoying but the flow of combat and graphics / controls make up for it if you can learn to ignore it.

If youre familiar with the term "pay to win" this game is one of those titles that allows it and promotes it at every turn.     It's weak, it's outdated and it's paid2win. I was kinda enjoying the game on the Game pass but after some hours of gameplay it makes me wanna puke. I'll start with Quest Glitches I have like 4 Glitched quests that I can't complete in anyway, already sent a ticket to the Admins with no answer!!! Absurd!! I'm glad I didn't waste a single cent on that game. Everything is paid2win, wanna buy aIt's weak, it's outdated and it's paid2win.     Best MMO to ever move to console !
    most in depth character customization in any MMO, combat is great. There is so much you can do in BDO that its basically a second life.

    Great game on Xbox! If you want to grind you can, if you want to explore you can, if you want to do life skills that's cool too. Overall fun MMORPG experience on console!

    The game as a whole is a good time, allowing you to enjoy an mmo if you can't afford a good pc. Just be weary of issues that will definitely occur while playing the game.

    Pros: -Combat is definitive, easy to learn, and unique as far as I'm concerned for an MMO -Graphics are stunning for an MMO on console, but is quite frankly a negative -GM's seem to be active and happy to help you    The game as a whole is a good time, allowing you to enjoy an mmo if you can't afford a good pc. Just be weary of issues that will definitely occur while playing the game.

    Pros:
    -Combat is definitive, easy to learn, and unique as far as I'm concerned for an MMO
    -Graphics are stunning for an MMO on console, but is quite frankly a negative
    -GM's seem to be active and happy to help you when asked
    -Character design is very in-depth, allowing you precisely create your character
    -There is no open PVP until level 50
    -There's also life skills for those who aren't into the combat grind after level 50.
    -You can turn off chat (thank god).
    Cons:
    -FPS sits around a constant 25-30 fps in the wilderness, although in populated towns it lowers to about constant 15 fps. This low of an FPS has caused me to get up and walk around for a bit, or play another game entirely to ease the headaches I get from the stuttering.
    -The a majority of the vocal chat community is filled with trolls and crybaby's who die to better players.
    -Story and lore wise, it's just the same as every other mmo story.
    -Very grindy at level 50 and beyond.

    Overall, I was shocked by how good I believed this game was when I played the beta. Although now I'm starting to slow down and just feel bored after playing for maybe an hour or less. The devs were ambitious to release BDO for console (also a shady business practice, since the cheapest pre-order was $30 for one day early access and a free pet, along with basic cosmetic and no warning of a $10 release price), the high demanding graphics are an issue for running the game smoothly on an Xbox and can overall ruin a good experience.    … Expand

    Very good MMO. Looks great and very good battle system. I wish it explained all the side stuff like hiring workers and investing ( I am still confused). There are a ton of quests and the game is very big. Only negatives are the frame rate can dip sometimes and the release of the game was shady in the beginning (I pre-ordered the game at 30 bucks, then found out it was 10 bucks afterVery good MMO.     Like other reviewers have previously stated this is a MMORPG and will not be for everyone. With that being said if you are into the MMORPG genre then this is by far the best MMORPG you will be able to find on the Xbox One. This game is massive and there are countless things to do in this game.     The game play is great in my opinion. When it runs smoothly. However that is very rare in recent times. Since crossplay it seems the programming for the game is simply bugs upon bugs. Game immersion is constantly ruined from blue screening, and the gear progression system is in dire need of a massive overhaul. While the Life Skill system is one of the best crafting/gathering systems in MMOs by far, I simply cannot recommend the game until the numerous technical flaws are smoothed out at minimum. At the time of this writing the game is 90% lag, desync, and blue screens and only 10% fun. With a focus towards optimization and an overhaul of the gear system, however, Black Desert has potential to be a truly great game. But poor developer decisions regarding crossplay, optimization, and content updates along with the fully RNG dependent gear progression keep it from realizing that potential and at least in my case left me wondering why I spent money on a game that incredibly rarely functions properly in which I spend more time looking at an error screen than I actually spend playing. With all these problems you'd hope for at least helpful customer service, but the developers also fall very short on that category as well.… Expand

    До этого играл на PC почти 3 года. Последний год на консоли. Считаю, что это лучшая мморпг впринцыпе. Ставлю ей 6 баллов потому, что консольная версия = версии для ПК. Они должны были оптимизировать, и немного оказуалить игру для консолей,но игра фактически предоставляет те же возможности, что на ПК. Они как смогли уменьшили эти проблемы, но вышло не очень. По итогам даже опытным игрокам играть сложно. Приходится или забивать на многое или очень стараться. Я не говорю о боевке, а о взаимодействии с интерфейсом, крафтом, добычей ресурсов, баффом и тд. Так же хромает оптимизация на One X. Включать режим высокой графики нет смысла, т.к. фпс падает в бою до 10-15. В обычном режиме во время фарма постоянно проседает фпс и даже зависает картинка. Я надеялся на лучшую оптимизацию.
    А теперь плюсы, во первых бой с геймпада, руки не устают, не болит мизинец как на компьютере, играть крайне приятно. Игра за большинство классов настоятельно требует покупку Elite Controller. Поэтому за боевку однозначный плюс, фактически за боевку я готов игре поставить 11 из 10 баллов. Плюсом к этому идет закрытость системы, обеспечивающую победу над читерами. И одинаковое железо с отсуствием настроек, ведет к равности всех против всех в отличии от ПК.
    Всем советую играть, уверен многие проблемы к выходу новых консолей уйдут на второй план, фактически сейчас идет бета тест.    … Expand

    This game is boring. Long walks, You fight with stupid animals in the beggning. The radar is terrible to follow the quests. Poor design too.

    This game is a solid choice for an MMO casual player. It may take some getting used to the UI, World Map and the market. I had to go through many characters/classes to get to what I like, that was probably another inconvenience, that didn't take from the game or affect it in any negative way. It really is a very fantastic game.

    Black Desert manages to surprise us with great features like its deep character editor and a very dynamic and varied combat system, with a rich world that's a pleasure to explore. On the other side, though, an overly complicated interface, some technical problems and a too repetitive mission structure keep it from reaching its full potential.

    Black Desert could be an incredible MMO experience, but the lacklustre story, uninspiring quests, overly bland characters and the low difficulty of combat drag it down quite a bit. Should these drawbacks not deter you, then visiting its expansive and colourful world might be worth it.

    It’s cool to be the hero you were meant to become in a pretty world, but Black Desert is lacking in the meat of other classic MMOs and requires a hefty grind.
